Bird share price jumped 30% on the directors buys. We need some tangible revenue results and contract new wins. This has just drifted back to 7p now. Also complete lack of interest in this company now as the messages on this board have dried up
Just watched Ian MacDonough’s LSE interview from July 2019. The thrust of the video centres on Blackbird’s fit for high end, blue chip, professional users with sophisticated tastes and requirements - and the anticipation of big licences. As BIRD have found in the years since, it is difficult to disrupt the market starting from the top.
Disruption rarely comes from offering high end customers more functionality at a high price/margin. Instead, offer a relatively basic set of functions, but with significant benefits in convenience and at a lower price. (ref. Clayton Christensen) The disrupter gains customers, not from existing users of existing products, but by creating new markets and massing new users.
So, to ask BIRD to excel in their previous strategy was too much to ask as they were in hindsight attacking the problem at the wrong end.
I am hopeful that this time round the BIRDs have done their research to identify a widespread “job to be done”, that Elevate is not over engineered in terms of functionality, and that it is an order of magnitude improvement in convenience/price for users. From what I have read so far, it actually looks quite promising.
The AIM Rule 26 information published by BIRD shows:
Ian McDonough (including family interests) 27,786,159 7.54%
The figures quoted previously exclude family interests.
Per the RNS: Following the above purchases, Ian McDonough and his wife, Syarifah Aidid, now have a total beneficial interest in 10,029,656 Ordinary Shares, equivalent to approximately 2.72 per cent.
He’s not sold any.
He bought more the other week.

Where do we find Ian M shareholding on their website. This looks like he has sold a lot of shares if the joint holding of these two is only 2 %, as previously he held over 7%.
Lets hope they can start moving the share price up make some profit and earn their share options.
I wonder if shareholders will get a free logon perk to try out the new product ;)
Hopefully there were some II's there and they liked what they saw and start loading up over the next couple of weeks.

What time was the special event today from , until ?
Of course very positive news, but with the absence of hard numbers it will be difficult to put real value to it.....but again positive news going forward and hopefully the start of more and bigger contracts wins.
Looks like the Summer Olympics as it was announced by RNS Reach not a full RNS (which it would have to be if it was thought to be price sensitive).
The SaaS product created by Blackbird Creator is approaching its early access phase.
It’s not going back to 7p in my opinion.
Directors bought at 8.5p other day.
You’ll be lucky if you can buy any in single figures.
Special event Wednesday to reveal the new Creator SaaS platform.
This is going way higher.
The next Frame.io in my opinion, and Adobe paid $1.3 billion for them.
DYOR.

The recent P&D has been quite successful. Let's wait for another day or two to see if it reaches 7p, and then consider buying in again before the upcoming results, presentation, and product launch.
