Don't think there should be a massive daily volume of shares flying around here, not short term anyway. Far as I can see the bod. and major inst. investor buyers are locked in for a year for bod. and six months for major investors. I'm looking to LTH anyway so not that bothered in the short term D.
ok cheers for that think biffa will be good long term as not effected by brexit like other companys can see directors buying at this price suppose 180p better than 240p+ GLA
I think you will find that this share does not commence trading until Thursday morning (20/10/2016). You should really expect to see a rise at that time but don't expect to be able to get your hands on any shares for a quick profit!
Not great start on market debut looks like a lot more sells than buys even after discount offer
Director share purchases look a little high compared with the published anticipated launch price of 180. Will be interesting to see how this one goes.

Do you think Montagu and HGCapital will buy Biffa, and do you think they will break the company up?
Montagu Private Equity LLP 29 November 2007 Statement regarding Biffa plc Following the announcement made on 23 November, Montagu Private Equity LLP ("Montagu") and Hg Pooled Management Limited ("HgCapital") made a further written approach to the board of Biffa plc ("Biffa" or the "Company") on 27 November requesting talks with Biffa with a view to securing a recommendation for a possible cash offer for the Company. Montagu and HgCapital are awaiting a response to this further written approach.
Was not suprised to see this hike today, although Biffa performing well they have many plans in the pipe line moveing away from Landfill into MBT, incineration, gasification and bolting on additaional generation. one to watch out for in the next few years.

Date & Time Company Headline 23 Nov 2007 15:59 Biffa PLC Montagu Private Eq Statement re Biffa plc RNS Number:4179I TIDMBIFF Montagu Private Equity LLP 23 November 2007 Statement regarding Biffa plc Montagu Private Equity LLP ("Montagu") and Hg Pooled Management Limited ("HgCapital") note the recent speculation surrounding Biffa plc ("Biffa"). Montagu and HgCapital confirm that they approached the board of Biffa on 4 September with a view to securing a recommendation for a possible cash offer for Biffa. Any offer, if made, would be at a significant premium to the share price immediately prior to the approach on 4 September. However, the board of Biffa has rejected this approach. Given Montagu's and HgCapital's knowledge of the sector, the approach envisaged a short period of confirmatory due diligence. In addition, Montagu and HgCapital have held detailed discussions with HSBC and HBOS regarding a deliverable debt package that takes into account current market conditions. Both banks have provided confidential letters of support. Montagu and HgCapital are committed to pursuing an investment in Biffa and the bid vehicle formed for the purpose of making any offer currently holds a 2.4% stake in Biffa. However, there can be no certainty that any further proposal will be made to the board of Biffa or that any offer or transaction will result.
this company is growing at 10% a year involved in waste managment and recycling wich is a growth area now and in the future with plenty of scope for new contract wins forthe future. the share price as slowly slipped over the last 12 months with no justification. an excellent well managed growing company.AND A SAFE ONE with its activities needed in any economic climate.
