i'm sure our fellow Pi's will find there way to us shortly. A few buys going through at the top end. Those two big sells late yesterday might stifle us for today but for rest of week I don't want to raise hopes, well we will see. I've said before I'm very comfortable here I don't really want massive swings though a day trader I'm not. I'm looking for a reasonable yield and steady growth in the company and the share price. I'm a bit disappointed we never got notification of how many new shares were sold to ii's during the stabilisation period. Around six million were available but I'm guessing the final allocation is a lot less than that. If I get the time I will work it out. D.
Interesting little RNS too oldbadger. If I were putting all my eggs in one basket at the moment this is the basket I would choose. They have floated at a discounted price and have a very sound business in an area that is never going to not be required. It would be good to have a few more people on board obviously but thank heavens it isn't one of those 700 post "hot-air shares"! Fingers crossed for the numbers coming out right tomorrow!
Yes looks like we got here fist Stickler lets hope that's something to laugh about. Ipo price 180p first hurdle then who know's. Feeling better about this share than anything else I own, been in here right from day one. Lets hope others start to see the value here.' Interesting that ii;s are still accumulating. Thought we would have had the total of shares allocated through the stabilisation period announced before now, maybe tomorrow. Onwards and Upwards sir. D.
Nice little tick up here ahead of results day!
Catch 22 for opec countries slow down production to raise price and maintain income. But only takes one or two to cheat to throw that strategy up in the air. We can only hope something can be agreed on Friday more so for the poorer country's welfare than anything else. D.
oK BADGER yes i have traded genel many times looks cheap at mo was down 5p this morn its white knuckle stuff at mo in oilies if deal is done they will fly if not all hell could break loose noticed they came off their lows near end so who knows ?
Yes Smokey I am in genel not for much though, next positive move on there will probably be on cesation of hostilities. Used to be a payment from KRG gave a bit of a spike but not last time. Guys on there are very knowledgeable and appear to be heavily invested. I stuck a grand in to keep it on my radar. Didn't expect any upward movement here pre - results. I left my top up here till last minute was hoping for a bit of dip. Never happened so in again at 173.1875p this morning. D.
Yes another bad day on markets O/B starting to get fed up of it now just wondering how low these sp can go heaven knows inc dfs also ATB
Yes i thought sp would move up from here suppose we will know tomm just hope if it does drop its not to much after all they wanted 240p or so i have set stops just in case .DFS not doing great today either cant work out whats going on there are you in genel badger
I had hoped we would get further acquisition activity in run up to half yearly results on Wednesday, anything would have been acceptable , new £200mill. loan facility sitting there waiting for it as part of ipo. Who knows where we will be after Wednesday " you pays your money and you takes your chance " hoping for a statement announcing the company's adoption of a positive dividend paying position, Which is also in the ipo. Fingers crossed. D.
Spot on badger. What's the old adage "where there's muck there's money". Very true in this case!
It was easy to make me laugh today stickler " ALL MY SHARES ARE UP " This is where it gets a bit more complicated, there not up enough where I'm no doon' I can't understand why there's not more pi''s in here, I know pi''s weren't eligible to buy through the ipo. But there has been ample opportunity since to get in under the ipo price. Anyway this is one of the few in my portfolio that I'm considering as a LTH. I mean the Trumpster in the White House, Brexit in out and shake it all about, we're still gonna' have to have the bins emptied !!!!! D.
oldbadger; I recently told my IFA that I wanted a risk factor of 4 (out of ten), my portfolio screams LIAR! This share was floated under its market value. With decent results will come some nice boring dividend and reasonable dull rise in the SP. Its a long way from being in vogue but does look like safe money!
Stabilisation period now over. Not wise enough to know if it's good news or bad news for the pi''s. All it means is ii''s will have to go to market to buy there shares same as us. Be interested to know how many of the 5mill. plus allotment stabilisation shares citi Corp had available were issued. We should get an rns telling us the number pretty soon. There was around a dozen ii''s buying shares through the scheme, here's hoping they continue buying. D.
The interum figures are available on the ipo prospectus, what's on there shouldn't be that different to what's announced on 30th. Nov. Prospectus is a 249 page doc. So it's definitely not a light read. I'm hoping that the shares are just flat lining till these figures are out in black and white. Compared to rest of market of last couple of weeks i feel Biffa have preformed pretty well. It would be nice if they could announce a decent size acquisition before the intrums, the facilities are available for one. Stickler my portfolio shows that not only am I also a "gambler" but a bad gambler. D.
I will be interested to see the results. Should be very good and hopefully see a rise in the SP. The dividend should be enough to cover any losses that have occurred since launch and realistically this company is worth approx. 70p a share more than they were sold off for. I cant see how this can lose. (famous words of a gambler)
Half year results out 30th. Nov. According to prospectus company will allocate 35% of underlying profit to dividend payout. Should give us an idea what yield is likely to be and whether biffa is a potential LTH. Unfortunately first potential dividend payment not due until July 1917. D.
Because this is brand new to matket it will take time to settle down. If you look into all the stabilisation rns you will see millions of shares being taken up by the insitutional investors which don't show on the daily volumes. This was set up as part of the ipo to allow major investors to accumulate shares which would otherwise not have been available to them .11 million shares available. This procedure ends on 15th November after that date any major investor will have to buy in the normal way. Got into this in a relatively small way 2.5k and intend to hold for around a year to see what the divi yield is. D.
Looks like sp falling hard sorry i bought here now
I see biffa has made its first acquisition since ipo. The company has a history of these small specialised waste management takeovers but I'm hoping with the new stream lined borrowing facility in place we might see some larger and more diversified acquisitions. Second largest company in our sector with no hope of ever being no1. but definitely scope for major growth. D.
ok oldbadger cheers
Smokey. All the information you require can be gleaned from the ipo prospectus which can be downloaded from the company's own website. Apoligies if it appear's unhelpful that I haven't just given you answers to the questions in your last message it's only because the prospectus is a 249 page document which has definitely not been written with the layman in mind. I am not an accountant and would not wish to convey information to anyone which later turned out to be inaccurate. It would be interesting to see if the figures you take from the prospectus tie up with what I have. Good luck. D.
Cheers for that are biff paying divi also how much cash they have in bank and what they owe cant find info notice goldman have 4%
I read prospectus as carefully as I could albeit it was a 200+ page document and it definitely states bod and major investor are locked in. On Re - reading that part of the document I'm now thinking that both parties would only be locked in on the new shares granted under ipo. Whatever the hmrc bill is paid (72mill) and the debt and debt facility is now very much improved. D.
Looks like bod sold over million shares yesterday or have i got it wrong anyway big sp drop whatever GLA
