Have you read Sapiens, it's good but nothing I didn't already know. Struggling with the sequel, Homo Deus, it's not exactly a page turner...but the conclusion is (so far) that we should engage with one another a bit more than we do...more talking apparently will solve a lot of things, I think that's what it says anyway.
I like crazy talk Ibjj. And what is it you're expecting US will be blamed for? That will be my challenge for the afternoon, I'll put my very considerable imagination on to it. Anyway, it's good to talk makes you think outside the box a bit, doesn't it.
Suzy2,
There will be no progress which will positively affect the SP by the year end.
I predict Ulla will have no impact on proceedings
If by progress you mean another cash call, then you may be correct.
Budge's " a mine in 3-4 years " is just crazy talk. Did nobody challenge this at the AGM, or were the questions vetted / censored.
I honestly believe Budge has completely lost the plot and has appointed Ulla to take the blame.
FarEnd...Our progress will be so rapid...by the end of the year I'll be saying "told you so". :-)
"Plenty reason to be positive" The reason for BEM's investors to be positive would have been to sell when the SP was around the 20p mark. Sadly for some that has passed for this year at least IMO.
"So sorry...it was a good post."
Appreciate that response Suzy, it's not often you read that on these BB's.
Yes...but we've got the concession and it's my belief we'll be keeping it . Plenty reason to be positive...let's see what rapid means. ;-)
It's not 'just another 3-montus' though, is it?
It's been kicked into the political long grass. Election time in September... Political stalemate with a few months to form a government after that. 2023 beckons...
It’s only three months, but then we don’t know how long the appeals will take to be reviewed and conclusions drawn once submitted. Could be end of year. Lol.
If Kurt doesn’t do what he said and keep shareholders and the market better informed then the sp will possibly just struggle at low levels. Depending also on the nature of the news of course. I feel we therefore need something substantial that will push us onwards and upwards.
Not wishful thinking I hope.
Very best of luck to all.
And you're a mathematical genius. Lol.
Hilarious... I assumed as much. Probably a boomer to boot?
And no despair... Just facts. You do understand what facts are, I assume? Your posts suggest otherwise
I'm not putting any kind of spin on it...despair if you want to...and keep your misogyny to yourself.
Yes, it's a real jape isn't it? All jolly hockey sticks and that...
Three months? Is that all? Good!
Try and put a positive spin on it all you want - But it's another 3-months of financial harm inflicted upon the company.
I've just had an interesting thought about the extra time for the appeal to be prepared...how much can we achieve in that extra time?
Hello FarEnd...it was a very good, informative post, sorry if I was curt, here's a recap:
"The motion fell one vote short of the 175 needed to remove the justice minister.
Sweden’s government narrowly survived a vote of no confidence on Tuesday (that's today) in a significant victory for Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson as she scrambles to recalibrate her country’s stuttering NATO application.
The vote specifically targeted Justice Minister Morgan Johansson over his record on violent crime, but Andersson said last week that the whole government would resign if Johansson lost the support of parliament.
In the end, 174 of 349 lawmakers voted against Johansson. Under the Swedish system, 175 or more votes are needed to remove a minister.
BEM need to get clear of any opposition and underway, asap. Anything could happen in the murky world of politics, especially Swedish politics."
It was the last paragraph I was commenting on and which I don't understand...how can we get clear of any opposition... but it's certainly true we need to get underway asap. I imagine the appeals procedure is independent and not connected at all with whatever government is in place. And it's that close, 1 vote. But I can't imagine we could possibly end up with a government more difficult to deal with and I think I was trying to reassure you on that point or perhaps trying to reassure myself. So sorry...it was a good post.
"There's an election not far away...whatever that means for us."
Perhaps I'll remind you Suzy.
When I mentioned the recent no confidence vote and possible election.
This was your rather curt reply to me.
"Don't know why that should concern you FarEnd...only an alliance of the right of centre parties could beat the Government in the next election (not far away now) and they would hardly be less supportive of mining; in fact they've been our best supporters."
Just saying!
It means more uncertainty...
There's an election not far away...whatever that means for us. The Greens are struggling, latest poll figure for them is 3.1.
