3card, totally agree ...
There's only one UNESCO HERITAGE SITE STATUS I care about. Bet you can guess which one.
All the others will continue to be enjoyed and marvelled at by millions around the world, not because of their UNESCO status, but because they are fabulous in their own right.
It's just yet another bloated and self serving beaurocracy
Given up more like..
Waiting in perpetuity?
Not a single trade today - everyone's waiting !!!!!
lol
Liverpool is a great city...stuff UNESCO. A secret ballot in China...13 for the proposal to delete it, 5 against the proposal, two invalid! Should have been unanimous. I shall try my best never to set foot on a UNESCO site again. LOl.
The Scousers probably nicked it in the first place..
Liverpool stripped of Unesco World Heritage status https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-57879475
That jumped off the page before I'd finished it....
I still think this has got a good pair of legs.
It is indeed an honest reflection and cynicism is an honorable tradition which I share in small parts. Just saying that hope has honourable qualities also....and while some things are hopeless, I ;-) x
Why is an honest reflection of an interminable reality dismissed as cynical and negative?
Asking for a friend....
I'm away next week and I'll be off broadband most of the time; so you'll get a bit of peace and I'm glad I wont have to keep looking in in case something's happened cos it wont have. :-)
hahaha
OK suzy, I get it
Suzy I think Ibjj sometimes takes pleasure in his negativity and feeds off the responses he gets. Today's seems just like a comment to bait!
Me and Ibjj go back a long way Wots. Picking an argument, no, not at all, just responding. When you say you're a LTH, do you mean you've been waiting a year...that's picking an argument. Lol.
Are you bored Suzy....
It kinda looks like you were picking an argument there hahahahaha
Morning All. Ibjj...how do you cope with being so cynical, you're right of course but in terms of things having to get better or worse then I'm believing this is going to get better because it's the only sensible outcome for all concerned, including the reindeer herders.
The company’s lawyers are involved in the response. Lawyers take forever to do anything to maximise their fee. Expect a reply very close to the deadline, IMO.
KB said he had until the 6th of Sept to comment but it wouldn't take that long.
Considering he received the UNESCO comments about 6 weeks ago, I think his response must be close to being ready. There is only BEM and the government involved so you would think that the sooner he responds, the sooner we get an answer.
I would love you to be correct but I feel that common sense is simply not a factor in Kalak.
Perhaps, as a result of the impact that this decision will have on Swedish life, we may see in the future common sense being applied to the mis-described “Climate Emergency,” and associated attempts to drive civilisation back into the Stone-Age!
Anybody see this. Sweden is closing their largest cement plant, supposedly with a massive impact on their GDP.

Evening.. lbjj, premature? Now you are being ridiculous! We do not know when a decision is to be made.. A bit stable - door don't you think, to submit an 'mining study' report in any appeal.. Inadmissible? The main objectors will I assume, submit their comment also, before the 6th Sept, and they will try to push some of UNESCO's comments..So, we need to show why Kallak merits the concession, and show why the award of concession is not a matter for UNESCO, before the 6th September.. BEM's comment, should have the backing of the mining study ?.................Imo only.atb..........
Rune it wasn't just the link, which was bad enough, the thread was wiped. Amateur hour all round from spoon fed questions to rinse and repeat answers followed by the usual Kurt flag wavers chanting .
