Lets just hope this isn't another tree shake by the city boys
looking like we might see a break towards the recent highs.
I've been adding a few today and over the past few days.
The 6 month chart is always good to see the current trend - BCN formed a solid channel holding the 27p on Tuesday. Near term looking to re-test last years high of 50p in my opinion. The tide has turned in lithium and right at the time we are about to have a series of major news. 2021 should be a very good year here.
I recall Peter saying once funding is confirmed for the mine, BCN will be able to join the FTSE Main market and BCN intend to do so asap. I wonder if this is still the case? It hasn't been mentioned in the more recent reports.
Hi - apologies if it’s already been covered. When is the expectation for funding to be place?
Cheers
So how does PS think we will be getting in the FTSE at current market capitalisation-I guess we have to triple the share price and last time it didnt get to the race for funding at 95p. Dont trust PS very much, seems to have an underachieving attitude and has not exactly piled into the shares himself
The FTSE main market is not just about MCAP in fact I know several main market shares that have a smaller MCAP eg DEV.
Its about a heavier regulatory burden and higher costs to the co in question. I would assume if BCN was to go main market they would have to employ more staff to do the extra admin and also I believe the costs are higher too...
Once financing is agreed, I suspect our mcap will more than support the main market. There is ultimately no reason why BCN couldn't continue to operate in AIM if it worked to BCN's benefit. I think at the time there was a feeling as an AIM exploration company BCN might not find true value as some investors stay away.
I think by FTSE main market the implication is non AIM rather than specifically the FTSE100, FTSE250 or FTSE350. I think membership of those is determined by market cap (but with a bit of fuzzing around the edges so they don't keep bobbling in and out every quarter). So to be in the main market means a higher profile, maybe more exposure to certain types of Institutional Investment, but higher fees/costs and greater regulatory requirements. Plus I think for buyers the need to pay stamp duty.
Yes I was forgetting the stamp duty piece. On AIM generally the bid/offer spread is usually large so if you put stamp duty on top of this you have a large 'ROI hill' to climb immediately you buy a share....
