No sales this weekend.
NO. Ismailia but I am buying regularly. I expect to see the climb here continue. This is just the start.......................
Good to see some buying - are they both yours Fortitude?
But why no listing of the Rose & Crown on the portfolio list. Half year results to the end of November due in February will be the next interesting RNS, unless of course we have another pub purchase. ATB Fortitude - lets hope we can get others posting here.
Ismailia , pretty certain an RNS would have accompanied any failure in completion of the above.Regarding the car business, figures mentioned would be a little historic.and any input from GC and team would take a while to show through.
I am still buying here and am likely to do so until the 10 p area achieved. When I invest in anything I always look at track records. GCs is very impressive..................
Fortitude - the Rose & Crown purchased from Arkles in May don't seem to be in the portfolio on the Website. Any thoughts? Is it open or did the purchase not complete? Also car purchases/sales seem to fluctuate quite strongly but my concern here is the high interest paid on the stocking loans. Any thoughts and are you still buying?
Thanks Fortitude. I think you tick all my thought boxes. I guess you are right about consolidation as on reflection there has been a fair amount of work accumulating the current assets and putting the appropriate websites in for the Pubs and the car centre which I feel are all well presented. I was in the original mining company but I feel more positive with the current change of direction. I take your point about GC and feel sure he would not have picked this stock unless he knew where he wanted to go with it, so yes patience will I feel be rewarded. GL
Ismailia. Yes I think the growth figures are extremely conservative as they are erring on the side of caution. I have seen start up companies come unstuck by too rapid a growth target. The adage steady as you go is applicable here. Having said that there is bound to be much behind the scenes work going on, and expect acquisitions to continue once the period of consolidation finishes. As I have said before Giles Clarke’s track record with UK companies has been impressive, I expect the same here. I ,like you , expect we will be leaving the NEX market which was only entertained out of desperate measures. G C is not the sort of guy to sit on his hands, we have a formidable B of D and to be out of this one , in my opinion , would be foolhardy. With around 37 m shares , any serious news will see this share price head north. Like all minows, patience is the order of the day...............................
Fortitude... We currently have six pubs and one car centre. The footnote to the AGM result tells us that the intention is to scale to 5 - 12 units over the next 3 years. Is this as you see it or do you feel there should be a more ambitious program? I will still add as even with the current portfolio I feel a MC of £2.5m continues to undervalue the business. You seem to be positive on the way forward as I do but feel we need a more aggressive way forward. Any thoughts?
If there is an update statement it is more often than not announced to the market by way of a early morning RNS. Nothing so far.
I assumed it was your sale earlier this afternoon that's why I followed. Such large holdings.
Hi Ismailia.
Where on earth did you read that I have sold out?
There is absolutely no way in which I would be selling. I am a very large holder of this stock with absolute conviction................................
I cannot take a chance so I have also sold!
GL
PS... I see you have sold out Fortitude - is it bad news tomorrow?
Good morning Fortitude. Tomorrow we have the AGM... are you likely to be going. I realise we don't always get a trading update at most AGMs but for this one I am expecting GC to want to be positive and give the market a sense of direction.
Well undervalued IMO and any positive news should help the sp which in turn will be good for any potential acquisition.
I also feel that any reasonable acquisition will lead to a possible suspension ahead of moving to AIM where there will be more interest. The current MC looks out of step with the what the existing group can earn in a full year so we need some good PR from Finncap. You mention 5 years but in my view it could be a much shorter time frame - I only have a modest holding but those with a reasonable investment could be well rewarded once the dots are joined up.
Both but on balance cars............ no,don’t have any inside sadly! What I do have is the Giles Clarke track record which points squarely to another UK fast moving growth company. As I have said before, I expect major company here within five years if past performance is to go by. We shall see Ism , G Cs mining companies haven’t helped here but this will change...................
You mention acquisition Fortitude - do you favour cars or pubs. Have you heard something at the bar?
There will be much going on behind the scenes and when the period of consolidation finishes ,we should see an impressive acquisition mount continue. I agree with you Ism the meeting next week will be very enlightening..........................
Buying interest today although I doubt it is due to the two cars off the stock list. The AGM is early next week and we can look forward to a positive trading update IMO. Car turnover is very active and the pub/hotel business should have been good during the first quarter of the current year. MC still less than £3m
12 Cars in stock yesterday but 92 today. Big investment and all hand picked by our main man at Centurion so we are told. Perhaps an update on cars in stock at the AGM - anyone going?
I like the new website but where has all the stock gone. At the end of last week the number was 115 and it appears there is now only 12. All sold or stock still being listed?
At these levels I think it wise to top up if you can and ahead of the forthcoming AGM. We have a mc of about £2.3m at 5p and this imo undervalues the huge potential. The pubs will all have a full year to May 2020 and can expect to contribute a substantial uplift in net profit. Centurion seems to be very active if you watch the stock level movements. The combined contribution of the two business models should contribute net profits of more than £500k imo. A pe of say 12 would put a mc value of £5-£6m or nearer 12p per share. That is without any bolt ons this year and we know they are looking to grow Centurion into Wiltshire. The AGM is or could be pivotal as we could get a promising trading update - GC is also seeking to raise more cash according to the Annual Report. There seems to be little interest in this site at the moment but as you say Fortitude the herd could be on its way and once they read the story we could see a mc nearer £10m. I expect to see some buying from you on your return on 15th October. GL
Hi. Is.
I am at present away in sunnier climes, returning 15th Oct.
You won’t be supprised to learn that I agree with nearly all you say. I still have to read through the Accounts, currently languishing on my office desk. I can however comment on the RNS accounts announcement. What struck me most was the Centurian car business,an area set for rapid growth, not least because of the internet presence. As stated before this will be the Stella part of the company and will almost certainly be hived off at some future date.
With regard to the pubs / accommodation, this is the end of the market to be in ie high spec hospitality. One only needs to research the Ivy Group to see where this is going.
With regard to investment, I am adding all the time before the inevitable arrival of the herd . I realise that G Cs réputation has been tarnished by his two mining companies’,in my view wrongly,as the end game is far from over.
I reiterate, GC is in his element here. I agree with you this may well be another Majestic wine.
I made a very good return here....................................
as the end game is far from concluded .
So Fortitude what do you make of the results but more importantly what do you feel for the future? It looks as if we are looking to invest in more car outlets in Wiltshire and we will have the full benefit of the larger pub estate. Will they raise money as the AGM agenda suggests authority for more cash could be needed. Interesting and GC is no fool but he needs to develop further on the appointment of Fincap - a move to AIM and a good PA team is needed imo. I'm in the South of the country are you to the east or north of Watford? Follow the man - he did it at Majestic and could do it again - I'm here for the long term, like what I see and may top up when I get my pension in a couple of weeks.
I certainly lost out with the consolidation and subsequent raise and to compensate to some extent I have topped up and will be under water until we are about 7p. But I worry not as Iam happy to add at current levels.
