It is not the sole reason they plan to get re-tested and fulfil contract obligations if you researched it. Read the RNS's easier than trying to explain
The armour did not pass American testing thats why it is closing that side of the business
there winding the body armour part of the business down. But if the right amount of orders cam in who knows.
I thought they had quit making body armour .
I had thought about this myself!! If the Ukraine troubles were to end tomorrow, all governments around the world need to increase spending on military operations this will of changed there political stance on military operations. Lets hope Putin is taken out one way or another quickly
I think body armour business might survive in current situation in Europe...??
Don't bet the house on it holding. Agreed it should be much higher an did top up yet again sub £10 so HODL and ignore the fluctuations.
Finally moving back to a logical valuation especially in these worrying and upsetting times , once the £12.50 resistance has been broken we should see a strong upward trend GLA DYOR
I'll settle for £13 then ;-)
But another good find there from Germany.
Think I'll be holding AVON long term.
A cold war is coming me thinks
I'm not sure of those giddy heights as a great deal of confidence fell from this company however I'd say it is a definite buy now ...this just in:
'Germany is going to arm itself: Additional 100 billion for the nation's defense this year and more than 2% of GDP for defense from 2022 onwards, Chancellor Scholz announces.'
Good post Crumb
Not a nice thing to say but any kind of protracted conflict in Ukraine will play in the military / defence stocks very nicely.
A 12% rise in the latter part of the week bodes very well i think
Perhaps a rise back towards the £15-20 mark isn't out of the question?
'The continent must increase defence spending from around 300 billion euros to up to 600 billion euros per year, he argued.
"It is not impossible and that will allow Europe to finally play a major role," Morawiecki said in an interview also published by the German regional media group Funke Mediengruppe.
"The era of peace and international order is coming to an end," he added.
"It is a test for the West and the way we react to this test will determine our future, not for years but decades."
Poland's head of government proposed excluding defence spending from EU public finance rules to allow his country to spend three to four percent of its annual economic output on defence following Russia's aggression.'

Bought another 20K today lets see if it was the right choice
Good luck Echo I think I my well be doing the same
I think the short answer is yes.
A new Cold War is a distinct possibility.
Avon was blue yesterday in a market full of red. I’m holding long term
same way online and medical companies did well during covid, could this be Avons covid????
I fell sick watching the telly and would happily take a loss here rather than watch the misery Ukraine are suffering but out of our hands. Feel a bit sadistic thinking this way but wonder if the game way online and medical companies did well during covid, could this be Avons covid????
Unfortunately I'd have to agree with you Woodstock
Mankind is a scourge as far as I'm concerned.
The events in Ukraine are pretty horrifying. Even when considering the complex and close history that the 2 countries share there appears to be no clear reason for invasion other than Hitler Mark 2 deciding he wants the soviet union back
Not liking whats happening today in Ukraine. Obviously the company is sat pretty, but not much good if we get nuked. Boris Johnson taking criticism for sanctions but what else can we do. China will kick off next with an invasion of Taiwan. Having studied economics and history, I conclude that mankind and evolution have drifted apart. It would be interesting to see what you guys think.
Looks like the market has twigged .B
A blue day for AVON with so much carnage in the markets.
My POLY investment is down 50%.
But with war now in full force is Avon going to do the business?
Director buying today. This is definitely positive.
LOOKING GREAT FOR A BID TO POP UP.
WAS DRAGGED DOWN TO £9.35 FOR A VERY SHORT TIME TODAY
TREE SHAKES ARE TO LET OTHERS IN ON THE CHEAP
True - I would add that with the conflict with Russia going on with a possibility of worsening with time, AVON products will certainly be in great demand from NATO members and other European armies and also from countries around the conflict zone. This is probably the best time and entry point to start a position or accumulate in AVON and hold for a 1/2 years - if not taken over by then. Just for a mere $635 million bid, we get £20 a share ...
Agree this has been kept down for A REASON
RESULTS GOOD RELATIVELY LOW CAP
SADLY NO SHORTAGE OF NEEDS FOR THEIR GOODS
