"Precious"
Metland 1 post wonder as far as I'm concerned .filtered you are. Like gollum trying to gnaw away at my previous Avacta. Goodbye!
Metland...this not like producing leggo bricks...the science IS key here. They MUST get the Production right from the getgo...
Hook off theirs nothing worse than a bitter chicken nugget.........
AVACTA ARE NOT WORRIED ABOUT COMPETITION...THE GLOBAL MARKET IS GOING TO BE SO HUGE THERE WILL BE ROOM FOR MANY...
Now if they aren't too worried then why should we be?
I would have preferred to hear all the manufacturing hurdles in April 2020 and not today. The importance to take our time and doing it right, this should had been mentioned before
Sometimes it is easier to have an imperfect product with a market and sort out the problems as they come than to look for the perfect product without a contract or demand for it. Betamax vs VHS. Will the government buyers change their suppliers because we have a better product? Or will they not give the time to that supplier to correct and improve their products line?
Cytiva was presented as a major partner only to discover today that basically they are only a supplier from whom Avacta will be buying the cellulose from.
In light of the above I do not know if I can trust the company outlook and production scale when CONDDOR is clearly not engaging in a manner that give confidence.
Whatever other product in the pipeline we'll have to wait another 24 months for phase I
Then despite the buzz around the affirmer this is not reflected in the sales and not in a manner to justify the buzz.
Sound like a bunch of scientist with no sales skills.
The only thing they did good is to raise the £54 million when they could. they never had so much money in the bank before
BIGGEST TAKE AWAY...THEY ARE NOT GOING TO BE RUSHED!!!!!......
Definitely got couple of things up their sleeve which couldn't be discussed due to confidentiality....
A couple of good takeaways...
1. Cash good until 2023.
2. Covid has mutated and 70% of cases in US and Europe are the new strain...affirmers MUST have ability to bind to this new strain or they are useless...AVACTA HAVE CONFIRMED THEIRS DOES!!!!!.....
3. Global Multiple Income Stream Potential - Licencing Manufacturing, Sales of Affirmer, Own Manufacturing etc....
4. US Listing has been discussed and not discounted.
Outstanding presentation. What a relief after seeing that comedy show form the other lot the other day. Top team, well prepared and clearly on top of things. They are great on detail because they are sure of their ground.
If you haven't managed to watch, well worth watching the recorded version when it is published later. What a fantastic presentation with the right balance between detailed technical information and routes to market. Great transparency with full acknowledgment of where the difficulties are but how they are overcoming them, questions answered fantastically and I particularly enjoyed hearing the positive reaction to the detailed technical questions. I felt he just didn't have enough time to get all the great news across!
Great start to Monday.
Dependent on what could be very significant revenue from sars-cov-2 testing, AVA6000 could go further into clinical development without a partner.
Nice one hants, too quick for me - this is really exciting!!
wow, affirmers bind to the new mutant strain as well, antibodies may not give immunity to this mutant strain, the lft, will still work with mutants.
Mutant of sars-cov-2 which is more infectious and now 70% of US and EU cases.
Affimer reagents bind both forms of the virus.
Looking to make an application with the FDA. Need to work on manufacturing capacity before the opportunity can be exploited, though. It's a relatively straightforward pathway once already CE marked in Europe.
Avacta are legal manufacturer of the LFA and will hold the CE mark.
pathway into us very easy once ce marked in europe, they are looking at wider markets,
To infinity and beyond !
US is quite a simple pathway once we have CE mark
They have mapped out a pathway to FDA approval; will be working on the 'massive scale of opportunity in UK first' by focusing on manufacturing partners first
Looking to license the reagents themselves but also opportunity to licence the affirmer to allow others to develop their own LFTs. Give access to third party manufacturing scale. I want affirmers in their tests.
Reason is to get around limits on manufacturing
Forget MB, let's talk about Big Al and the webinar we are hearing.
Don't worry if you miss this webinar live - everything including Q&A will be available later. They will also answer any Qs that they don't get around to this morning.
Current partners can scale to meet the Moonshot, overseas - conversations ongoing - could be 100s of millions per month. That’s billions. Wow. From the horses mouth.
Cytiva are a materials company. They only supply the strip, similar to how Avacta supply the Affimers. They're not a manufacturer.
With BBI and Abbingdon, probably capacity of 5 to 10 millions per month as it stands today. But this can be increased to many tens of millions per month and other partners can be brought on board. Total capacity including oversees unknown, but Sir Al believes there's potential to meet the hundreds of millions per month - however a lot of due dilligence must be done with these oversees companies first.
This company, is exactly what most of us thought it was and the reasons for investing within, never been so confident in my investment, even if this takes another month or two, this test will likely suppress this virus in the uk at least down to very small numbers, with the ability to keep it in check, it just needs the government to police the results properly.
'Could be MANY 10's on millions of test per month produced' (in UK)
Without doubt in my mind capacity to meet hundreds of millions of tests per month with overseas partners
