Anyone know what happened to Davbro??? Think he may have changed his username?????
This share was the last straw for me,aim is a cemetery.given shares up now.leave it to the yanks and there worthless dollar.lee.
I agree, even though things look crap, often name changes occur when companies reverse takeover, bring more of they're own business public. The advantage is obvious. Gold stocks move all over and don't mirror the POG. Gold went up 30% in the first half of the year but mining shares more than doubled for many companies. If they can get the share price to 10p they make almost $1Billion US for themselves. They could do that inside 2 years if they bring MNG public. That's the dream anyway. I sold 50k today, so officially a loser for me. Meh.
AIMforprofit i agree no option but to stick it out. If the 12month rule on takeover is right then surely they would have to go another year with no good news to buy us out at todays price. As for name change Denzil maybe it would bring a change of luck!! having seen Aureus go from 50p a share to 1.6p in 4years, not too optimistic
I have been sceptical of MNG since they came on the scene. I do have a couple of questions though; - Why change the name, only to force out the PI's and de-list the company? It seems like a waste of time unless de-listing was not actually their strategy. - How on earth did they encourage instituational investors to sign up to additional funding, again given apparent strategy of forcing them and us out? A few months ago, the board discussed the theory that the company wanted TSX/LSE stock listing, and after getting Aureus, they may in fact expand the newly named listed company to include some of their other businesses. Hard to see the benefits for them though? Access to equity funding, but a lot more administration would be required. They seem to be doing well as a private group, without needing a listing. Any thoughts?
Given how much has been lost already and the possibility of being bought out for a price that's only slightly below the current price, my thoughts are that I might as well stay in to see what happens.
I remember a discussion here several months ago where the consensus view was a price per share at the year high had to be paid to buy us out. This would mean a price of 9.75p per share at the moment. I guess that MNG will only have to wait a few months and they could buy us out for 1.5p. Anybody staying in here or is it a cut and run strategy? Are there any clear statements of what MNG will do? Does anyone that is a private investor, support the BOD?
does anyone know the take over rules on the tsx ? Could the company be taken over by mng fully by paying existing shareholders 1.5p per share?
Sorry, but i can not understand what result you expect. Vise versa would put company under administration...
name change approved. I can see this company being privatized very quickly and you all know what THAT means BYE BYE MONEY!!!!!!!
Looks like we are going to dilute the shares and have a new name :-) who's going to be buying next week?
That proxy vote notice, basically says we're screwed. That the company owns too much and big investors will likely stay away because institutions only invest big when they get a modicum of voting control. The companies total control leaves no room for discussion on any shareholder matters. If there is no interest in the company, nobody buys shares, and the price doesn't move, or more likely goes down, to 0.01, then they get delisted and become private, at virtually no expense to the company. 0.5 Billion shares in small holders hands just disappear. Oh well, it's only money.

£16k buyer...
1195 WTF!!! I topped up at 3.4p and my average is a lot higher. Who was it that warned "3p could easily drop to 0.3p"?
"Disclaimer All analysis on this trades page is intended only as a guide and its accuracy is not guaranteed. It should not be used for investment purposes. It should be noted that all trade declarations made by the market do not include a buy or sell indicator and therefore we have to derive this information ourselves. The policy we have adopted is based on the mid price of the stock at the time of the declaration. For example, a trade declared at a price that is higher than the mid price at the time of declaration would be put in the buy column, a trade lower than the mid price would be put in the sell column. A trade which matches the mid price would be considered unknown. Please also note that the market can delay declaration of the trades for up to an hour in which case we will not make any assumptions and place that trade in the 'unknown' column. Please also note that many investors are able to buy and sell within the spread and also users of level 2 systems will actually be buying at the perceived sell price, these trades might therefore appear to be wrongly categorised".
Thank you for that - live and learn all the time!
The name change will require majority shareholder approval at the SH meeting on 29th November - if accepted will take effect on 6TH December. SP – There’s no conspiracy on Buy/Sell markers. Whilst LSE and other sources do report Buys as Sells (and vice versa) it is down to a less than perfect algorithm in the Software. I have been reliably informed that as a rule of thumb when the bargain price is below MID PRICE then it is Sell - if above MID Price it’s a Buy. PS I find that "This Is Money" is more reliable in showing Buys as Buys and Sells as Sells.
Last three times I have purchased shares in this mining co.. Every time (on both LSE and Hargreaves L) my purchases come up as 'sold'. Is it possible that someone somewhere might be trying to indicate that people are off loading when in fact they are buying in? Am I being too cynical?
Can someone please remind me when the name change is happening? Thanks
I have also been here from the beginning and averaged down to 8p and will be here long term. Let's all hope things move upwards from the name change onwards . Good luck to all.
I'm still also in, like Maplepilgrim average is 13p. I'm in for the long haul as well.
bryn, Kenny, maple. let's all hope for a bright future. remember the good old day's we used to talk about the £ club !!!!! bit of a joke now I think.
Been here for a couple of years too. Average is 13p so I'm not going anywhere.
