Profit?
from something they haven't even built yet. in the interview Oliver said in q4 we should work towards off-take and financing of the project - so the project doesn't exist. and it isn't financed...yet. so, I guess, profit is a bit of a way off.
does that mean they have a lot of debt at the moment? and first few years of profit (if and when it comes) will have to deal with that debt...
anyone done any serious DD on this - I am just beginning to look at it, so sorry if I sound a bit casual at this stage....but I like ammonia, fertilizer, hydrogen - I think its all very interesting. But just wondering why I should be these now.
Profit?
thats interesting. just started looking at this. having been watching abu dhabi, japan hook-ups re ammonia.
but profit here. have they said anything about that...like said oh it will be in 10 years time or 15 years time?
i guess i'd better watch the vox markets interview.
Olivier Mussat: - We are playing in a $200b market.

Are they ever going turn profit? Often these green energy stocks never do GLA
Faultless progress in Paraguay, long may it continue. Political backing from the very top helpful in smoothing out obstacles and attractive to stakeholders. CoS very high
Nice that it was at a premium, shows confidence. Nothing to do with Trafigura though, that's just a historical reference to the purchaser.
ATOME Energy PLC (AIM:ATOM) on Friday informed investors that Trafigura co-founder and former Glencore oil trading executive Mark Crandall has taken a notable stake in the AIM-quoted hydrogen company.
CFT bought the shares at 100p per share, representing a premium to the prevailing market price of 93p.

“ Trafigura is a multinational commodity trading company domiciled in Singapore with major regional hubs in Geneva, Houston, Montevideo and Mumbai”
Net income: US$7 billion.
And Baker Hughes for 6%, quite a share register building up

Doesn't anyone think this is changing horses mid race.
UK-based Atome Energy has announced that it is pivoting its Paraguay project to produce calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN) instead of green ammonia. The company says that the change in focus is in response to market feedback, which has shown that there is a greater demand for CAN than for green ammonia.
CAN is a fertilizer that is used in agriculture. It is made from ammonia and carbon dioxide, and it is a more efficient way to use these two gases than to produce green ammonia. Green ammonia is made from water and renewable energy, and it is a potential fuel for transportation and other applications.
Atome says that it will still produce some green ammonia at its Paraguay project, but the majority of the output will be CAN. The company expects to begin production in 2025.
The decision by Atome to pivot its Paraguay project is a sign of the growing demand for CAN. The fertilizer market is expected to grow significantly in the coming years, and CAN is seen as a more sustainable option than traditional fertilizers.
Atome is not the only company that is moving into the CAN market. Other companies, such as Yara International and CF Industries, are also investing in CAN production. This suggests that the CAN market is poised for significant growth in the coming years.
Here are some of the benefits of using CAN instead of green ammonia:
CAN is more efficient to produce than green ammonia.
CAN is a more stable product than green ammonia.
CAN is a more cost-effective product than green ammonia.
These benefits make CAN a more attractive option for fertilizer producers and other businesses that are looking for a sustainable way to produce their products

Uk Gov just announced millions in funding for Hydrogen mainly for use in Industry add in the fertiliser aspect it could be of use to us. The argument is all about self relience. The intention is to use the excess energy from wind frms to produve the Hydrogen. I wonder if we will poke our nose in especially as Baker Hughes are well established in the UK?
Baker Hughes taking a stake underscores the credibility of the company and its prospects - great news.
Decent piece on the hydrogen stocks https://twitter.com/atomeenergy/status/1656681477151805446

Not sure what to make of this - was it to impress the Paragyuains or to drum up enthusiam for wider participation?
this is the sort of thing I was hoping for - for them to convert some of the possible deals in the pipeline to JVs or other deals to start building the business. There recent appointment with the experience he brings will also be of great help negotiating ammonia/fertilizer deals. Hopefully the sp will start to respond positively.

Never any progress with iceland, no rns, not convinced with getting involved with these other countries, time will tell, go same way as ppc.
The JV looks like great news - all they have to do now is execute!
