Many thanks for the update Malcolm and apologies for not posting sooner, but been preoccupied trying to return home from Edinburgh since last Thursday. Reading your updates makes me believe that we are now a value growth company with exciting times ahead. I was pleased to read that they have also cut AGM costs by substituting the sandwiches with Wagon Wheels. What's the saying? " look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves" GLA
Agree Cockney, it really does have a good feel to it now. Positive AGM according to Malcolm and good twitter feed so surprising sellers around. When the interim trading statement comes out it should be very positive IMO so why sell now unless to crystallise losses before the end of the tax year.?
Hi Sahid , just been checking out the twitter feed , some very interesting news over the last two weeks. The contract you mention was for 3,200 LED panel units to improve the look and lighting for a major law firm in Old Broad street offices. This is a new contract which must be fairly lucrative judging by the num er of units mentioned. Looks like there is a fair amount of action going on behinds the scenes.
Thank you Malcolm, terrific news. I see that they have just announced on twitter a new lighting contract. https://twitter.com/APCTechGroup/status/968157171845419008
It was stated that they have come a long way from putting LED's in refrigerators and they see a massive growth potential in the lighting sector. So much so that I had to ask the question, "that's all well and good but can you handle that kind of growth"? In a blink of an eye, the chairman stated "absolutely", we use contractors for installation and we know where to go for excellent designers, should we need to outsource. His quick response leads me to believe that they have given this some thought. They were also very excited about their smart building technology and stated that they have just finished making the building next to us smart. It was also stated that they have connections with three universities and last year they had taken on two undergraduates and this has gone so well, that they plan to take two more this year.
Thanks for the report Malcolm. Was there any evidence of blue sky opportunities on the horizon? Any mileage left in the LED Lighting?
Cheers Malcolm.
I don't recall seeing any sandwiches but that may be because I only had eyes for the chocolate Wagon Wheels. This was my fourth AGM and by far the best, there was an air of confidence and optimism about the future. They have now cleared the decks, put in place staff incentives and have made provisions for growth. They see growth potential in all areas of the business and therefore see no need to take any unnecessary risk to achieve it.They also see the uncertainties of the near future (Brexit) as a great opportunity for our company and stated that they have already taken advantage of opportunities this has thrown up. For me, this is now an exciting growth stock with great potential.
Many thanks. Were the sandwiches beef or sandwich spread? ;-)
All good, will try and post more information when I get the time, I've just brought some more, can't believe this is still only 8p a share..
"The Board are pleased with the start to the new fiscal year and can confirm that the Company continues to trade comfortably within management expectations." The more I read this statement the more confident I become. Sounds like good controlled growth to me and not too long to wait for confirmation of this in April. There may be only a few weeks, if that, to buy at these levels? Don't eat too many sandwiches Malcolm and any news you can post on here will be gratefully received - Cheers!!
'Distressed' may be the wrong word for someone selling at this particular point in time!! More good news about results/progress at the AGM would be gratefully received.

Distressed seller it may be but the brokers must be very confident of good news tomorrow otherwise the Bid would have dropped by now. It says to me they need stock and a big pay day not far away.
Vino not all sells of a sizeable nature will be " distressed sellers ". It is just as likely that a trader working in conjunction with another trader is selling off at a profit knowing that his " partner " needs liquidity to acquire a volume of shares before another rise in SP. At present the buying is fairly consistent and with the company showing an upturn I cannot see many major holders selling out at present. Of course this is my opinion so I could be totally wrong and you may prove to be correct.
It appears to me there is a distressed large holder who is selling. 50K and 100K have been common in recent times and now a 450K sell yesterday. Until they have sold what they need to sell (and it could be more than 1M) the price will struggle reach double figures.
A quick message to anyone attending the AGM - Any chance you could take some notes and report back on here ?
Looks to me like our company is going places, I'm looking forward to the AGM.
Great stuff Sahid , more top end clients for the business. NEC is a GB renowned venue and to get that contract must bode well for future contracts. The company will be fitting 600 sensors for the other client with a view to complete the fitting of two more buildings I see. With the help of APC advisory departments it looks as though the company is starting to gain a good foothold and name in the facilities management and technology fields. Just a matter of time before we see a re-rate IMHO.
Take a look at these 'Latest News' releases from the APC website. LED lighting at the NEC with monster energy saving costs and IOT sensor modules installed at FM companies. Looks to be a really good opportunity with ground breaking product. Hopefully more news to come from the AGM on Thursday and agree with CT, 9p a distinct possibility by weekend if current trading is signalled to be above expectation. http://apcplc.com/projects/elsys-environmental-sensors-just-job-facilities-management-company/ http://apcplc.com/projects/birmingham-nec-gets-energy-saving-back-house-lighting-upgrade/
I'm sure , based on the last few days , that if we can get some decent volume they will be able to let the SP go a little. 9p could be a reality by the end of the week if the blue trades can keep coming.
More decent buying today, hopefully in anticipation of more good news prior to Thursday's AGM.
Well my watch list of around 25 shares has been very red for the past 7-10 days with the markets reacting to the general market turmoils. Although not moving at all APC has stayed strongly sat at 7.75 during this period despite some mainly selling days. Today has seen hopefully the start of a move upwards and further liquidity. I'm hoping now that our new base level will be the high 7's and we can start an assault on double figures if we have a resurgent market or more news. Fingers crossed.
Good summation CT. As you imply nothing goes up in a straight line but I doubt anyone buying over the last month has done so looking for a quick buck. Over the past couple of years APC has patiently gone about its business with IMHO no regard for the SP so definately not a stock for day traders. Many times you and I have written about the 10p glass ceiling and whilst this still remains I see no reason why this cannot be smashed in the short term if the AGM maintains the upbeat trend of the past week.
