Interesting (I understand you have connections background of F1) ... I recall he tried but Williams then recently Renault.... both occasions went nothing.... perhaps Williams was (lack of good team (not driver) ) and Renault I wouldn’t surprise it pricey compared where Renault are in position.
If it true, then it is Aston Martin brand in Mercedes team or Stroll pull out altogether? ....
Apart from the share dilution, I thought the institutional shorters' helped drive the price down more than anything?
These guys are all heavyweights and all in on it. We have to make the assumption that all was going to plan and they knew what they were doing when they effectively walked the share price down to 30p. They wanted the share price low to put the next stage of the plan into place. What they didn’t expect was the share price to go back up through us guys piling in! They had to get the share price back down again and have done this by a combination of absolutely no news and another dilution?
Does this make sense? They want to drive the share price back down to do what?
Political....secret weapon...yes.......gotta keep the greens happy........
My opinion is Stroll can not turn AML around with out backing.....know how...... from MB or Geely.......
I think its predestined.....this will happen........
I think if .......MB take over ...in future.....Lagonda badge ...will be .......AML EV sports version...........based on AMG EV platforms....components...but with AML styling,,,,,,,,,for different customers..........politics....emissions...etc.....

I think..... for Stroll its about F1...firstly.........................secondly making money........
if stroll sells Racing Point to Dmitry Mazepin........and Stroll ends up with Mercedes F1 team which will then be renamed Aston Martin.........because MB take control of AML....
then what we see ...now on media of Wolff saying he not leaving Mercedes.....could " technically " be true......because he still works for MB........if MB take over AML....
and at the time of saying "I will not play an active role at AML, neither in the management of the company and certainly not in the F1 team."....is before a take over....
so again "technically" could be true............................just a thought......
Ok how about looking the whole saga from a completely different angle.
Before Lawrence Stroll and his team effectively took over AML they had a plan.
Covid was with us and the share price had tumbled so he obviously knew about that and got it cheap. The second dilution was planned IMO by him and his team even before the first.
So the million dollar question is why? It’s not just about raising funds he’s got plenty of access to £.
What are the possible motives?
Let’s make a list of possible outcomes I will go first.
1) His plan is completely legitimate and he wishes to turn AML round and make it profitable.
2)?
Another rumour into the mix.... Stroll selling Racing Point to Mazepin's (F2 driver) billionaire dad....
If Stroll was looking to take private he would have done it at 28p, or before issuing massive volumes of shares, rather than wanting a lower price to do that now.

I have to agree that I too have no idea what Stroll is up to.
However, I do think that it will come good – I just do not know the time frames!
I have no way as much as you have riding on this, but as with everyone, I wish them all well, and hope that we all get something out of it.
With regards to going private, I can see the rationale of driving the share price down, and then it should cost less to buy out the shareholders. I do not know if this is the case though. From previous inputs on other threads, this would be based to an extent on prices over 12 months (but I do not know enough myself, and have not researched the matter).
Takeover? Again, if that were to happen, we just need to see what it is in it for some individuals who have bought in apparently at higher prices than the placing etc. Or am I being simplistic and naïve?
With regards to another dilution, again, only the ones in the know will be privy to this, and then the question will be whether the placing is higher or lower (I am sure there was a game show with this premise, where you could win or lose!!!)
The thing that still resonates with me is the fact that there are many individuals / organisations involved with AML now, who are not used to losing money or reputation. Surely there are here for a reason!
I do not understand waves / candles / crystal balls etc., but I am sticking with what I have and hope to see a rise in value over time.
If the price drops for any of the above reasons mentioned (private or placing), then if I was big investor friend of Mr Stroll, I would be worried, unless I knew the bigger picture. I do not see Toto or the others just helping another rich man to achieve his aims. If they start pulling out, then the whole scenario takes a turn…
If this is just to get Stroll Jr into F1 big time, then he is a very loving father!

Very well written mate, in all honesty I would be expecting a take over sooner rather than later if it was going to happen, certainly the announcement anyway. In the world of F1 when someone says "No, that certainly is not going ot happen" to the media, it increases the chances of that said thing happening ten fold.
I just hope it doesn't happen before the 29th of July when I intend to pick up a few more shares (expecting the SP to drop) on the other hand if I miss that boat then I just hope the price is over 64p to break even and over £5 just for the hell of it so I can buy my car lol

CEO Ola are trying save DAI future but one thing Mercedes or Ola are clever is allowed Geelys to part of future project with DAI also I believe ?????? WRONG FOR ME TO SAY AS I HAVE NO PROVED that DAI are buying shares in Eastern Europe mining for EV (VW, BMW are known have rights of mining in Eastern Europe) however Mercedes or Ola know that in Chinese and Africa mining (top 2 in world need for EV you know what I am talking about) so one day VW and BMW will have to get EV supples from ?? ..... let stop about this one for now....

Mercedes are a couple of years behind in there EV plan...mainly because Tesla bought the German Battery mass prodution plant...that MB had plans on using.....
it stopped MB in there tracks....Elon Musk ...clever guy.....
Also Geelys boss....Li Shufu...Chinese equivalent of Elon Musk.....not to under estimated..if he wants AML....he will get it....

TELSA know Mercedes got that patent for EV Mercedes motor in future ... it fabulous project however it madness to use in F1 as it should be banned unless we will witness to see F1 become racing with no driver! The technology are far far too advanced as I believe it should be racing with depends on skill of driver .....with decent engine that it. Old days if you watch take over it depends driver with gears, aggressive etc not by switch on/off to full power on engine.... let them overheat the engine .... and sound (pointless for me as I am deaf but could imagine)....

Good post, mostly what you say is good enough to be true however mainly by vary website rumours also I found Mercedes sell SMART in France only on conditions that factory will br continue if not the smart will be stay however Mercedes did agreement with Gree’ last Jan.
I think everyone should focus to one thing it not Mercedes nor Daimler..... it their CEO Ola Kalleniu... study about him.
He want change to EV altogether that my view.... however the AML division (not Aston Martin) will be continued as sport, petrol head etc.....
He want to start catch up TELSA ..... TELSA have no competition.
Last few weeks, I found Ola has passion of this new innovative of EV.
If he choose between F1 and Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E Team, I know which one and supporter Aston Martin F1 team to make stop Ferrari becomes dominant again.
Daimler just bought 50% company (DYOR) this week for EV Mercedes motor’s ( drive the car as driverless ) like TELSA.
But end of the day..... what that leave to Aston Martin ? F1 look positive, our factory for future still struggles but will keep monitoring and holding.
(Sound harshly if I will respond those who are not bullies on my list) and sadly I have confirmed that shorter are above 2% mainly under .50% under ...... shouldn’t be concerned as they still reduced e.g. from 0.49 to 0.47 and one of them has reduced to .30ish % only ONE Shorter has reach 0.00% start with H.
Vole’ still in 0.49 and auto Bots will be actives just before and after the 29th of July but not sure if Auto Bot going be raise before Q2 then attack after Q2 anyone can guess that one....

From my understanding.........Mercedes HAVE to get out of F1 because it dosent suit there new
brand image ..of lower emissions...going EV......marketing.... etc..etc....too much politics.....but they have to get out.....
Imo AML future is to connected to what happens with Mercedes F1 and Stroll ....
I dont know the F1 scene ....so am hoping the knowledgeable F1 guys here can add.......

Nice well backed and researched view point imo! Stars have been aligning for a while with Mercedes.
Jjtrader the most interesting thing I took from that and ready previous was that Stroll had put the facility expansion for racing point on hold.
We could be over thinking it and it could have just been because of the current climate however it could also be because bigger moves are happening in the Merc F1, Racing Point saga.
Another thing to put in the conspiracy theory list but it does have merit.
I think the MB take over should have happened before now.....
I think Stroll has always been the middle man....
Could this take over be all about F1......
In past few days MB have announced sweeping restructuring
and severe cost cutting plans across their division....
so maybe the timing not right...for MB take over
hence..... Stroll has needing money from shareholders....
