interesting ............reading.............. from Karenable........
" Assuming Aston hits the goals Stroll has laid out, and the market gives Aston even just 50% of Ferrari’s Price/EBITDA ratio, that would give Aston a market cap of £9 billion and Mercedes 20% being worth £1.8 billion"
shame ...........................some poster cant see this info.................................

Cape yeah I agree of course they wont ever pay a penalty at that rate. Even worse case scenario if it was low and needed to be higher they would just let go of some good news and instantly get a result in the sp as needed. Anything lower than 62 is always going to be safe long term. We all know where this is going eventually so no one should worry about any average they have if they bought in this year. Although it is hard watching it sit lower than your average. I should know, however after some topping up lately I'm now down to 58.65 which I'm really pleased with as I started at 87!
Lol johnpwh.
That's funnier than all the jokes on the other thread!
Or should I say
That's........funnier......than.....all....the.....jokes.....on....the.....other.....thread! Lol!
Nella, I remember that. Didn't Daren Turner and Nicki Thiim help themselves to a lovely old car apiece and do figure of eights and out past the sleeping security man.
Thank you 3300. You never rest!!
@dunnieboy interesting. Agree, that would not make much sense.
Would you say this type of agreement 62+, technology transfer, 20% shares is usual practice?
Well I was in a good mood before I read that Motley Fool had recommended it. My experience is that its a kiss of death.
On Monday I had my finger poised on the deal button at 62.8 ish, and guess what. I didn't press it. Unsmiley face.
Lastly, I don't want to be miserable but I have filtered Jjtrader. Nothing personal about your content Jj but the way you write, and persist in putting pauses all over every single one of your posts, is probably he most irritating thing I have ever known a poster to do on lse boards. It's neither clever or amusing.
Cape, they could but Mercedes will own 20% and the deal allows Mercedes to appoint one director now & a second director once they reach 20%, so to do it they would have to act corruptly & go behind their partners & the directors backs, remember the case of Guinness directors years ago they all took part in a illegal ‘share support scheme’, and the directors got sent to prison.
Far more likely they’ve set the bar that low at 62p they couldn’t miss it unless something catastrophic happened.
@tinypie thanks for your feedback. following your explanation, it should be quite unlikely they have to pay penalty. Isn’t it easy for them to keep the price above 62 for these timed events? On the other side, couldn’t one argue that this penalty is a bit blurry? What does Merc holding 20% in the near future benefit from a penalty payment? To me sounds like they stabilze the price towards 62+ by sharing this information. I might just load more shares as long it stay below 62.
As I understood it, it only has to be the 62p or above on certain dates. Date one was the other day after the rns when they got their first lot of tech and the second time if has to hit the 62p to avoid penaltys is at the time of receiving the second lot of tech? But I might of misunderstood it.
I suspect DB5 Goldfinger has a while to run before the last one is complete. Now don't they use the old premises at Newport Pagnall for these. Remember calling as a young boy with my dad around 1969 and getting booklets for the DBS and DB6 which I still have. Isn't this where they do all the traditional metal work on customer Astons where the old metal skills are still needed. Likely that this will remain busy way into the future.
There's been no mention of the Speedster, albeit it is only a limited run of 88 models. Plus where will be the build facility for Valkyrie and Valhallah. These total 675 units so it's sizable.
following this part of the conversation...
Lawrence Stroll: I'll start with the last one. We think and know that the technology given is of a value that if we would have sourced on our own would have been a considerably greater expense. The second question was yes, if the share price is below the 60 - I believe it is c.62p - that we would have to pay the difference between 62p and anything below that. We are obviously quite confident we will not see share prices below, but instead well above the 62p mark. So, we’re quite confident that's a non-issue for us. And what was your other question? I know there was three.
would you interpretate this as a buying order, once sp drops below 62p? knowing AML would not like to keep the price below for too long, in order to avoid compensation payments to mb?
Why would they openly talk about this? sounds almost like a guaranteed price of 62+ Doesn’t make much sense to me.
Looking fwd to your opinion.
in case you feel the same... q3 q&a transcript

*guarantee
I meant to say...
guarantee To go up! After Friday RNS news.
Eng,
True....
I have read here and says that guarantee.... that mislead to newbies or anyone who wish join AML.
End of the day.... you have valid point.
Thank you.
Agreed, not behind TELSA.
Mercedes is nearly finish the project of EV to 600km or 700km (can’t remember) but I have put link on here recently.
Mercedes and Chinese (EV) partner are very good .....
We only need is patience that all, my shares (1st fund on AML) are at my bottom drawer.
The 2nd fund, I have explained in other post at today.
Have good evening.
the big automotive ......sleeping giants have........... waited for the right
moment to release .............EV cars....its not that they are behind Tesla.......
all...... automotive companies have been researching and testing......... EV tech for years....
and already ......have the expertise ....in quality...... reliable ..... mass production.......
and that moment has now arrived.....
this is where .....AML..... will excel.....customers have the option.....
to buy .... raw power ICE models...or modern sports EV tech models...
Bang on.
I have put post here about Mercedes EV but no one pay attention (DT or quick bucks).
They will gave 2 different EV, one of them for luxury (bigger powerful EV engine) will use like you said Maybach. So peoples can’t say ‘look my Mercedes same engine as AM etc’
7 seats is very cleverly as there not many maker do 7 seats AND LUXURY ...
I do believe the SP still in unknown territory potential shot up to high side of 50’s to early 60’s but my feeling there going be below 50’s potential lower side of 40’s then gradually back to (above).
Reason for low 40’s is simply by the markets will hit suddenly (national lockdown news). I could be wrong, just wait and see... if it happen I wouldn’t buy to top up until mid of November to see what market like.
So when they have built all the goldfinger DB5 what are they doing with the line / staff?
Was thinking if they created a road worthy DB5 without the gadgets for say 1.5mill that would be good.
Yep.......3300 ...Toby .....and AML....are... officially off ....the starting line........
