Piedmont marked up 3 dollars already and our bid stays firmly at 19.02 p where it seems to have been for soooo long...
Expecting this massive offtake news at any moment now
PLL has announced this morning that it’s received its all-important mining approval for the Carolina lithium project in North Carolina.
“We plan to develop Carolina Lithium as one of the lowest cost, most sustainable lithium hydroxide operations in the world, and as a critical part of the American electric vehicle supply chain,” PLL boss Keith Phillips says.
“The project is expected to contribute billions of dollars of economic output and several hundred jobs to Gaston County and North Carolina’s growing electrification economy.”
In mid February, the lithium big gun hit the news after it announced the sell-off of its shares in Canadian lithium producer Sayona Mining (ASX:SYA), which has been smashed this year so far, down 46% YTD.
PLL said at the time that the decision to divest the SYA shares aligned with its commitment to “maintain a prudent balance sheet while simultaneously minimising dilution of PLL shareholders”.
This should help our share price today. 20p anyone?
Certainly does stir some excitement :)
Thanks PD101, can't get any clearer than that....GLA
I think he was being conservative by saying Q3, there has been a couple of dates banded around by Amanda I think it was maybe she was getting excited that have passed at least this way we avoid disappointment..
Ghana listing is coming, listen to this today from MiiF, timesamped

Sounds very close
To be accurate.......The article actually states "by Q3", not "in Q3", so could be anytime this quarter which aligns with NH statements.
Be a while then! Listing not till Q3

Yeah, it’s seems to have been “held” at around 19p since about mid-Feb…
In an “efficient market” how is this possible? ;)
(Can it really be allowed?)
My thinking is that it’s being held there at least until the shares are available on the Ghanaian stock exchange - why shouldn’t the people (well, the rich/connected people) of Ghana get a slice of the local pie.
But I don’t want to sound all conspiracy theorist!
Invested my full new ISA allowance this morning and now have 430k tickets in this game.........interesting that despite a reasonable amount of blue this morning we seem to be unable to break thru 20p and so I assume this is being closely managed ahead of big news and not for the benefit of Pi's
Have been here for several years now so another few months will not matter if it sees several major elements de-risked.............come to think of it I applied the same logic and made similar sized investments ahead of the DFS and look where that got me !........but, one day Rodney......
Still trading at a 70% discount to several takeover attempts and there for I am adding.
I am adding for production and believe once these final milestones are ticked off this quarter this can trade substantially higher than the 33p takeover attempts.
Great summary, just to add to that:
Completion of the Ghana listing - without dilution to existing shareholders / no new shares offered…
Can see exactly why directors have bought so much!

Great podcast

Lots coming this way
*All permitting to complete
*Ratification of the mining licence in parliment
*2nd stage of MiiF investment - US$28MIL
*Final offtake announcement and completion
*Completion of the Ghana listing
*Final set of drill results from the dog leg before the resource increase
*£2.8mllion worth of shares purchased by directors in under 18 months
Exactly that Teddy, need some movement on the news catalysts we have inbound. Ratification and off-take and we go.
Fair play to Neil, more money into ALL...just need to hit the milestones and move forward in a big way over the next weeks/months...if your holding do nothing, watch and wait...GLA
If anyone can see the potential / upside and what’s around the corner, it’s the directors. Like I posted yesterday, this gives me great confidence. All in my opinion of course, each person will have their own view here and nothing is certain yet. But for me, this can only be a positive indicator. GLA. CJ.
£2.8mil worth of director buys in under 2 years. ;)
Re Captain Jack1...........Yes, I was curious about that as well as it sounded like he had a very limited and defined window in which to conduct his transaction, so one of outstanding items is clearly on the not too distant horizon.
Neil reiterates the significance of this quarter as being very news rich and the expectations (not in any particular order):
*All permitting to complete
*Ratification of the mining licence in parliment
*2nd stage of MiiF investment - US$28MIL
*Final offtake announcement and completion
*Completion of the Ghana listing
*Final set of drill results from the dog leg before the resource increase
Does anyone know how long we could have from NH buying shares and material news that will affect the SP? Can’t recall the length of this period that he alluded to in the interview. GLA. CJ.
Lithium prices continue uptrend, spot spodumene going to $1200 it appears.
