The placing is annoying, yes.
But look at the SP performance so far, indicates great strength.
We now know that we will have results before Christmas.
We do know that the results are expected to be stellar ... Happy Christmas everybody
And a Happy New Year.
Hold on to your hats.
This opinion does not support what is happening here
This isn't a huge move in the scheme of things and the share stays in much the same range it has for a while. Everybody is waiting for the bulk sampling results and any movement before then is largely irrelevant. People need to pop a chill pill.
There's only one way from here and thats down, I can see this being under .20 very soon. Death spiral finance is very common with these little companies. Gla
Cindy not sure where you get death spiral finance....this is a straight and narrow placing which has been done so no spiral here. Considering how well alba is holding above .42 only way is up not down.
So how do you think they will fund the next stage once the sample results are in? With fairy dust
Before considering the value of someone's de-ramp, always check their posting history.
With this placing they will have over 3m pounds in the bank and once the processing plant is up and running that will be a continuous stream of income.
But yes im not saying there wont be any more placings but they would not be called death spirals as every small mcap company issue shares as a way to operate and carry out the exploration activities. Surely you know this from investing in AIM?
Until we fully open the gold mine and have substantial income we and like all other small Mcap companies will issue shares as a means to operate. As an investor you need to time your buys and sells to take advantage of these share issues
Yanis, you mentioned you have @28m shares a few weeks back. How do you feel about £28-30k being wiped off your value and not one mention of actually finding any gold this far into the project?!
Just bought more,averaged down,
Yes there may be more placings, but at a higher sp than at present,
Best to ignore the shorters.
ukog rising on loxley not horsehill, Friday an scc meeting expected to permit and overturn
previous ruling spiked to 0.6 a couple of months ago before the denied scc meeting
That isn't a nice comment nookie, whether he has that amount or not i couldn't say, but i have a few and wasn't happy about the placing to say the least. You had shares in ALBA at 0.7 - 1.0 so i doubt you threw many parties. Next news is pivotal.
Not meant to be nasty in the slightest. I lost heavy today despite selling above 50 and buying back in at 45. Wife told me to sell whole lot at 55 months ago. Congratulations to the rampers who knew all about this who have magically vanished by the way.
We all have different averages and different goals what we want out of it. The placing isn’t great for the short term price but I would say from reading the posts, most remaining here are LTH’s. Ultimately these results are the determining factor, if it’s gold and lots of it this 7% drop will mean nothing and everyone will be quids in again!
Hoping my first post the other day doesn't wrongfully 'out' me as a ramper...
To be fair, I didn't expect that RNS this morning, but having considered it, I can see how this might be a good business move at this point. Frustrating though.
I did say I'd be topping up on the dips; whilst I'm no expert at this, I have been around long enough to know that a certain degree of volatility in both directions of the SP is normal, particularly around expected and actual news.
A couple of other things I've also learned; look out for the derampers, as that can often be a good sign, and I also make a terrible short-term trader, so I'll definitely be hanging around - I'm in now with a long-term strategy.
Apologies if my first post here did come across as a bit rampy.
GLA, and let's see what the next RNS holds.

Cindy, we've absorbed several placing since I've been here and we will absorb this one too
As to how we will raise finance next time, with gold.
The difference with ALBA is they are taking bulk samples which will then be processed and the gold sold even though we are still in the exploration stage.
Then when we eventually have two mines producing we can further speed up our Greenland assets .
Todays been a fairly big hit, yesterday was a massive hit across most mining stocks so its compounded todays placing more than it may of last week or next.
I wonder whether the gold samples will be smelted and be sold to jewellers in time for Christmas jewellery purchases. If it’s near 11 grams a ton then there should be enough gold but will there be enough time?
Cindy to be honest if this somehow dropped to 0.2 (can't see it), then I would be doubling my hold in this and I'm sure others would be too. This company has great long term potential.
Nookie, I hold 28.5 million shares. Yes, this placing right now is annoying, I think it could have happened later at a much higher price, but I am not GF, I don’t know his reasons.
The drop in value of my portfolio is also annoying, but at the moment is just a paper drop. Nothing lost until I sell. I am aiming for much higher SP level before de-risking though. And I am confident that the SP will break through the 0.58p resistance soon.
I am not worried about seeing no gold from the results yet. As GF said, they will analyse all drilling bulk samples together to get a representative estimate of the gold content. I believe that that the results will be very good,.
As far as seeing some gold, ALBA already brought samples to surface from their 2019 expedition, was in the Daily Telegraph and a piece of that was shown in the ITV News.
Hold on to your hat my friend.
