All but one show as sells but the price is steadily rising. This looks like a bounce-back situation.
Most people know about the CAMEC stories - whether these are true or not I don't know...from what I know about it is seemed to be more to with Billy Rautenbach than with Edmonds or Groves. If you look now though, since selling CAMEC, Edmonds and Groves have had nothing to do with Billy - their new venture, Sable Mining Africa (perhaps the new CAMEC?) have got all US funds backing it - none of the controversial shareholders of CAMEC days. I would hazard a guess that Edmonds in particular gets a lot of attention in the press because he is a household name from his cricketing days - don't believe everything you read in the press, a lot of it is just sensationalist rubbish. I would take it with a pinch of salt and trust in the fact these new big US funds would have all done their due diligence and would not invest in anything that could potentially be linked to Mugabe for fear of it blowing up in their faces.
I posted this here on the 29th Jan Aggritera was formed from the ashes of White Nile the failed oil explorer run by Phillippe Henri Edmunds and Andrew Groves Aggritera bought the agricultural assets owned by CAMEC another Phil Edmonds Andrew Groves company. Camec as some of you will know was the company exposed on dispatches program bankrolling Mugabe. http://www.channel4.com/programmes/dispatches/episode-guide/series-32/episode-1 another article found on the web http://southafrica-pig.blogspot.com/2008/07/whos-bankrolling-mugabe-and-what-kind.html A Telegraph article claimed that Edmunds was supplying arms to Mugabe http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/energy/2791649/Business-and-morality-Is-Phil-Edmonds-right-to-trade-with-Robert-Mugabe.html other people involved with CAMEC were Billy Rautenbach http://www.afdevinfo.com/htmlreports/peo/peo_33451.html Hope that helps
totally agree - a very strong buying opportunity has presented itself here. fill your boots!!
Well I couldn't disagree with you more! I think this is a great buying opportunity and I am going to top up tomorrow. As far as your points go with the Company supporting Mugabe - I just don't think that holds any water at all. Have you seen Agriterra's share register?? No way any of the those big US funds would go anywhere near anything even remotely Mugabe related!! And lets face it, I would trust them over someone who seems to have their fair share of sour grapes!
read my previous posting. typical e*an k*y - always somebody else to blame. read same reply on their website. number of us zimbabweans hope k*y and edmonds gets theirs. we are paying for their support to the mugabe regime which caused and stills causes death and suffering. investing in agriterra or a drug lord - which one to take the moral is the same the drug lord roi should be higher?
Maputo — Mozambican Labour Minister Helena Taipo has cancelled the work permit of a Zimbabwean citizen, Stewart Goss, who is accused of ill-treating Mozambican workers and of racist attitudes. Goss worked for the milling company Compagri, which is based in the central Mozambican city of Chimoio, and managed the Compagri branch at Matundo in Tete province. Compagri is part of the Agriterra group, whose registered office is in Guernsey in the British Channel Islands. The chairman of Agriterra, former England cricketer Phil Edmonds, is no stranger to controversy. He was also chairman of the Central African Mining and Exploration company (CAMEC), which was the main investor in Procana, a project to produce ethanol in the southern Mozambican district of Massingir. After two years, the promised 500 million dollars investment in Procana had not materialized, and all the company had done was clear 800 hectares of the 30,000 hectares allotted to it. The government cancelled the contract with Procana. A press release from the Labour Ministry said that Taipo's decision to withdraw Goss's work permit followed inspections carried out by her Ministry and by the Tete provincial government. These found that Goss had been sacking without just cause members of the 100 strong Mozambican workforce at the Matundo branch of Agriterra, and had discounted social security contributions from the workers' wages - but had failed to forward them to the National Social Security Institute (INSS). He was also accused of banning trade union freedoms and freedom of expression in the company, and of illegally recruiting foreign workers. The inspection at Matundo also led to the suspension of a second Zimbabwean, Heather Kay, an administrative and financial assistant illegally hired by Goss. Goss has not been expelled from Mozambique, but Taipo's decision means that he is no longer able to work in the country. 27 April 2010 - http://allafrica.com/stories/201004271150.html
Not surprised. Know the fellow e*an k*y. Comes from Mutare loves to talk bad about all and thinks a great deal of himself. went on agriterra website to read his profile. again ha ha. have no opinion agriculture investment not my field of interest but rumor spreads fast amongst white zimbabweans and not much sympathy for the man. bad news. if had block run!! that is what i would tick
EAKA, The company,COMPAGRI, was closed by the Mozambique authorities. The Manager of the company was given 24 hours to leave Mozambique. The Executive Director based in Chimoio Mozambique, did respond by closing down the COMPAGRI company. The perception with the Government is that it is a blackmailing attempt. the matter is now in the hands of State security. What is however worrying is that huge amounts of shareholder funds were invested into the beef company while Mozambique has virtually zero veterinary controls in place and therefor cannot export beef to any other country in the world due to the high foot and mouth occurrence and lack of proper veterinary controls and systems in place. Maybe they can explain on what basis they decided to invest shareholder funds into this venture? on the local market the potential to recover the investment into the beef industry is nil to very little.
A strong rumor is that the Government of Mozambique closed down the COMPAGRI operation of Agriterra due to racial discrimination and the blatant disregard for labor laws. The Executive Director of Agriterra, a white Zimbabwean, it seems appointed his own family and friends into all Management positions inside the Mozambique operations. This according to a journalist of the Indian Ocean newsletter! It now seems that the Executive Director responded by closing the COMPAGRI operation, to teach the Mozambicans a lesson. This has severely upset the Government of Mozambique. There was severe unrest and workers and normal citizen have been reported saying that President Robert Mugabe has not solved the problem with the racist white Zimbabweans who now act as if Mozambique belongs to them. The Agriterra operation DECA is referred to as the Republic of Mutare as nearly all expatriate staff and contractors originate from Mutare in Zimbabwe, where the Executive Director originates from. Trouble on the horizon for Agriterra that is why they are looking at Zambia? It is now also rumored in the town of Tete in Mozambique that the COMPAGRI operation of Agriterra in Mozambique was constructed on the site of the best coal deposit of the Australian Mining company, Riversdale, a fact that was ignored by the same Executive Director. Talk in the local waterholes in the dusty town of Tete is that the Executive Director obtained the property because his own property was right next to the COMPAGRI operation, it is said he was planning to construct a factory manufacturing metal sheets for roofs! A conflict of interest? Nice when you have access to shareholder funds! The people hear but they don't say that there is much more trouble in store for Agriterra? Time will tell.
sounds about correct caffer
Just returned from Mozambique. The "people hear but dont say" that the romance between the Moz Government and Agriterra is over, some senior persons got "done in" by the Biofuel scam of Groves and Edmonds and they are out for blood. It is rumored that Goodworth Services Ltd is in fact none other than Edmonds and Groves? So they acquire the shares from themselves? Watch this space.
http://www.agriterra-ltd.com/Investor_relations/pastreleases/2010/Operations%20Update%2015.02.10.pdf This has sparked a buying frenzy this morning. The future certainly looks very promising for AGTA in the coming years.
Dirk I think you will find that Phil Edmonds has always been involved. For your info. Aggritera was formed from the ashes of White Nile the failed oil explorer run by Phillippe Henri Edmunds and Andrew Groves Aggritera bought the agricultural assets owned by CAMEC another Phil Edmonds Andrew Groves company. Camec as some of you will know was the company exposed on dispatches program bankrolling Mugabe. http://www.channel4.com/programmes/dispatches/episode-guide/series-32/episode-1 another article found on the web http://southafrica-pig.blogspot.com/2008/07/whos-bankrolling-mugabe-and-what-kind.html A Telegraph article claimed that Edmunds was supplying arms to Mugabe http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/energy/2791649/Business-and-morality-Is-Phil-Edmonds-right-to-trade-with-Robert-Mugabe.html other people involved with CAMEC were Billy Rautenbach http://www.afdevinfo.com/htmlreports/peo/peo_33451.html Hope that helps
phil edmonds will only be getting involved here cause he thinks he can make money. remember that.
Ta for that mate. I was relying on AGTA's emails but nothing arrived!! That sounds very promising - especially issueing new shares at 6p - they obviously believe there is a lot of potential growth from that mark then.
Dummy buy price of 6.25p for AGTA now. Still no news though!!
The upward trend continues for AGTA - as do the large Buys. Something is just bubbling under here I am sure of it!!
Someone certainly knows something here. The size and amount of recent buys is impressive & there must be a good reason for it. I guess us PI's will find out in due course!!
About time the sp rose here as there has being some serious buying activity going on of late. I will be very suprised if we do not get an RNS soon as someone is clearly feeling very positive about AGTA.
Lots of very sizeable buys gone through today (including some that are listed on here as 'sells'). Somebody certainly knows something! I would imagine a RNS will follow pretty soon to announce exactly what that is!
are going through and SP heading up for a change. Anyone heard anything to explain this?
Who knows mate. But when things are going well it sure is fun!!! AGTA looking pretty solid now & with a steady flow of buys this should be back above 6p before too long. Positive news will then bring a new trading range - we must be due some update - it's been quiet for too long!
That's who's been doing all the recent buying!! Others too though. Hopefully we will have an RNS soon too to continue this northwards push
The steady buying has been going on for about a week now. Confidence & interest is returning to this share. Makes me think some news is about to break. What has PE got up his sleeve I wonder??!
