'Huge' is a nice word. Hopefully this mornings leap is the first of many - adding up to a 'huge' leap!!
Yes, saw the mention and this Stock should be interesting to observe. Some interest already this morning and here's the link:____ http://www.ft.com/cms/s/2/bc323e14-72da-11de-ad98-00144feabdc0.html
In today's FT AGTA get a more than favourable mention by David Stevenson: "If its managers can scale up and build a network across the southern half of Africa the value of AGTA to a bigger food processing conglomerate could be huge." I'm wondering how huge...
Yesterday the volume exceeded 10 day average by 641.74% as of BST 15:29 Jul 16 2009.
Hopefully he can. There are substantial amounts of money going in here over recent days. There appears to be the usual pattern from the MM's raising and dropping the SP each day as seen on many Stocks which eventualy do settle with a steady rise over time. A lot more Buying and as said definate interest here, perhaps from a few who know more. Gut feeling here and worth a punt in my view, more and more mouths to feed every year on this crowded Planet.
CFM rose 33% today and I was hoping for a similar rise in AGTA! Maybe when he's trousered his profits in CFM he'll invest them here? Something is defintely going on!
I suspect the the two bigger Trades marked as Sells are Buys at those prices and the Spread has improved since this morning. It's ok I often chat to myself!
6.000,000 million shares bought this AM.
big Buys coming in within the last hour!
Looking mysteriously exciting. Added too!
Yesterday 4 massive buys had no effect on the SP. Could they be Director buys? AGTA's been getting some favourable press lately and I'm impressed by their expansion plans so I've bought another 28,000.
Phil Edmonds’ African food group Agriterra expects a turnaround to profits as it contemplates a move into sugar. The AIM-quoted company, which began life as Sudanese oil flop White Nile, owns two mills in Mozambique and buys corn from local farmers at half the international price, operating in each district as a monopoly buyer, and makes corn flour for local consumption. Based in the Mozambique capital of Maputo, Agriterra, which also provides farmers with seed and fertiliser in exchange for corn, is embarking on an ambitious expansion programme, says spokesman Jeremy Gray. This aims to add capacity and lift annual turnover in Mozambique from below £3 million to £50 million by 2011. Gray says the company, which lost £2.1 million in the six months to last December but still has £6.5 million cash and ‘ten years' tax breaks in Mozambique’, intends to increase its beef herd from 600 cattle to 10,000 in three years. He adds that Agriterra, steered by Edmonds and his right hand man Andrew Groves, is planning a move into Tanzania, which will need £6 million four two mills. In addition, the company is contemplating moving into sugar in southern Mozambique, where land is becoming available, which is potentially attractive but capital intensive, needing plenty of water,
For about 3 hours today AGTA was up 14% on tiny volume - what would a few big buys do for the price?
Great article & shows the great potential in this share. Gonna buy up another lot while the price is still this low.

See Agriterra's website www.agriterra-ltd.com I invested a while ago and they definitely had unexploited oil and gas interests then! But they seem to have shifted into agriculture and disposed of (or intend disposing of) their other interests.
Are its core interests agriculture only? Or does it have mining in mind aswell?
its not been trading very long
Really like the sound of this company - everything seems really positive. Got in today & am hoping this price will turn out to be a steal.
If anyone cared to look into this company namely there website you would be very surprised .
An interesting company with unexploited oil and gas interests...
Not much talked about i c
