if Phil Edmonds comes out of cfm with 20 million quid...agta could benefit too?
AGTA is making unusually good progres lately. I read on iii that it's been recommended as a Red Hot Penny Share which is slightly alarming... It has management links with CFM which is supposedly in T/O talks - could AGTA be under similar scrutiny? An article in the FT recently said it had "huge" potential.
Hi Gemma, How are you? CMR it's still in existence and the Directors are working hard at sorting things out. As you know Bluecrest gave them a hard time due to the late payment and it turns out that Bluecrest are just another bunch of crooks as time will show, this isn't the only small Miner that they have bullied. I don't have much news to give to you but it's not over. BW
Like in this country Chan. All the public money gone down the drain.where is CMR chan
Hi Bark, how are you otherwise? Thanks for your response. It would appear we cannot be too careful whom we choose to believe in. Quite a year of Grabbing and Fraud by the big boys who are never content with their fortunes. Take care.
sorry that should read. be executed .

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/8175677.stm Yesterday the BBC news are now back in Zimbabwe legally its a step in the right direction. Both sides want intonational company's to come back to Zimbabwe. A lot of British mining companys. AGTA has the UN World Food Programme is one its largest customers.and this company is not in Zimbabwe. They are in Mozambique.Look how many pep are invested in Central African Mining & Exploration Plc .This is Africa but Mozambique is one of the better African country and the World Food Program would of vetted AGTA before becoming a costumer.
One will see I was interested in this Stock last week for the same reasons as Gemma is posting. Following the recent rise which then felt like a pump and dump, I did likewise. This evening I posted on CFM after watching Channel 4's Dispatches production Bankrolling Mugabe. It changed my whole view on any thing that Phil Edmonds touches from now on. This is just my view but if you have time watch http://www.channel4.com/programmes/dispatches/episode-guide/series-32/episode-1
The grain currently processed by DECA (AGTA)currently sustains thousands of people in the local province and the UN World Food Programme is one its largest customers.
Cattle ranching in Mozambique • 300 head of cattle - plan to rapidly expand • 10,000 hectare ranch • Cattle feedstock supplied by D.E.C.A as a by-product of the milling process • Aiming to meet the huge demand for beef in Mozambique • 90% of all beef consumed in Mozambique is imported from neighbouring countries • In process of acquiring 160,000 hectare ranch in central Mozambique.
I am a new small investor to this company. I am liking it by the day.I am normally into mining shares.Farming in Africa has got my interest now and I like the sound of this company as it has also applyed for a dual listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange.I also love doing research toooo.I don't day trade any more as I have lost money in the past doing that. 28/5/2009Agriterra Ltd ('Agriterra' or 'the Company')Opens Second Operation in Tete, Mozambiqu.
22/7/2009 USAID launches new agri-business programme. The nine value chains identified are for maize, groundnuts, soybeans, pineapples, bananas, mangoes, cashew nuts, sesame and forestry. At the launch ceremony, the US charge d’affaires, Todd Chapman, said, “we are expanding our commitment to the agricultural sector, because we see a potentially brilliant future for agriculture in Mozambique”. “Mozambique has the potential to produce a virtual supermarket of high value crops and in filling much sought-after market niches in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and southern Africa”, he added.DECA’s operations are run by a team of experienced individuals and comprise the following principal components: * Acquisition of grain from local, smallholder farmers; * Treatment and processing of grain; * Sales of maize meal and bran/harmony chop; and * Installation of infrastructure and logistics to facilitate operations
the buying season, which lasts from June until late August/early September is well well into the Buying season collected from approximately 350,000 local producers in the Manica province. There is also a Cattle ranch which has a breeding heard of 100 head.I think they are in the process of buying a larger farm for 1000 head.
Thanks for info :-) I think this ones got great potential. My only concern is the effect of weather/drought etc.
Maputo 26/7/2009— The European Union has approved a financial package of 7.2 million euros (about 10.2 million US dollars) to support food production in Mozambique, particularly seed processing and multiplication. Some of the funds will also be used to subsidise the purchase of fertilizer by small producers. The programme will be implemented by the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) over the next two years Under the programme research institutions will also be strengthened, including the central seed laboratory in Maputo, and the regional laboratories in Nampula, Chimoio and Gaza.As a result of this programme, Zimmerman expected Mozambique to become self-sufficient in seed in the next six years, and it might even export seeds to other southern African countries. Agriculture Minister Soares Nhaca stressed the importance of strengthening the seed production chain, as part of implementing the government's Green Revolution strategy, and its Food Production Action Plan
Maputo — The Zambezi Valley Planning Office (GPZ) intends to invest 50 million US dollars in building three grain processing plants in the central Mozambican provinces of Zambezia, Manica and Tete. GPZ general director Sergio Vieira told reporters that work on one of the factories will begin this year in the Tete district of Angonia, and will have the capacity to process about 25,000 tonnes of maize a yearEven with the planned factories, said Vieira,Grain processing Capacity would still be well below Demand, given the grain production capacity of the Zambezi Valley, but at the moment it was not possible for the GPZ to invest in more than three factories.
Agricultural trading and processing functions. Its headquarters are located on a 20 hectare site and consist of 17 1,000 tonne silos, 7 warehouses each with capacity for 3,500 tonnes of maize, 7 family houses, 4 single quarters and one guest house, as well as two milling plants, one workshop and a fleet of over 80 vehicles. The Company has a seasonal workforce of 300 people. Chimoio itself has sound infrastructure with an airport, rail terminal and extensive road network.has opened its second agricultural buying and processing facility in Mozambique. The Compagri operation, located at Tete, was set up to replicate the Company's successful DECA facility at Chimoio, which has been in operation since 2005 and has the capacity to process approximately 50,000 tonnes of maize per annum, collected from approximately 350,000 local producers in the Manica province of Mozambique. The construction of the Tete facility was funded primarily from internal cash flow, delivered under the budget (approximately US$ 8.9 million) and on schedule, to coincide with the advent of the maize buying season in the Tete Province. Also this company has a Cattle ranching and feedlot production as a complementary business as there is a large and growing demand for beef in Mozambique.
Some fresh interest over the last two trading days.
I hope not! But it's interesting that a lot of activity occurred before a favourable mention in the FT. The SP dutifully rose 30.77% on Monday and it's fallen since. How do all the Monday investors feel? I wish I'd sold on Monday!
is not just limited to africa. They appear to be heavily involved in south america. Their work in hiv/aids is amazing. Will be building a bigger stake. Chan and Adobong thanks for links etc. Exciting prospects. http://www.agriterra.org/en/country

But I hope it's not a bubble. Fast expansion of the business would do wonders for the SP. Agriculture + Africa are two places I want to be invested in.
