This court finds you guilty of de-ramping. Take him away and off with his head! Apart from that, you make a very good point but I'm still expecting the unexpected.
Not meant to be tongue-in-cheek or de-rampy, genuine question, but realistically - they come to the table with a counterparty - what is it that the company would have to offer?
'Combined years of experience' (we all saw how that went)? Or is there something else?
That may even get me back to break even! Just!
And this will rocket 500%
@Matrix Wow, I never doubted your 120k loss in ADV (why would anyone lie about that anyway) but to have put so much in one stock (and such a speculative one at that!) with that account size!? Just wow.
DaProphet, because holding is whats left... it's nothing. Like matrix, I'm down massively but nowhere near his loss. Wait 'n see how things turn around, if they do.
There's never any need to post proof of your personal pain! Rise above! And stop focusing on ADV! The world is still your oyster so consider other get-rich-quick schemes! I would recommend LOGP and EOG assuming the Irish Government sees sense at last. LOGP's a one trick pony but EOG looks incredibly undervalued unless I'm missing something.
Can't believe I'm stooping down to post proof but here you go:

That's an excerpt from the activity statement on my Advance shares.

That's my current PnL on my ADV holding, as you can see I've sold almost 2/3s by now, down 95% on the rest

This is my portfolios YTD performance, started making some money back but am still 50k short of breaking even.
Now that we've put your suspicions to bed, I'm still holding because selling this batch for 1/20th of what I bought it for makes me physically ill. £2k isn't going to help me get back to where I was, might as well leave it in here for a while. Take your condescension and shove it buddy.
I was one of the first investors when the new board came and although took some profit out, have like others lost a very large amount of capital. Still hold my large position, as I can’t see any benefit in selling a large remaining position at these depressed levels. Still think they are evaluating various deals and hope they close one this year as mentioned, but am well aware that closing a deal at these elevated oil and gas prices has become more difficult.
If you had £120k in hereof which I doubt very much.. Why would you hold?
We all know things are moving slow (Hand on my face)
If there's another venture then a Consolidation will take place to form a placing and your shares will be divided by 100.
So forgive me but what exactly do you gain from holding here in the mean time?
Lost over £120k here, still holding. I don't see this doing anything until 2023 at least. Been in contact with someone from the board, things are moving slow. It's not dead however, not yet anyway...
It's hard to see how the SP can rise again but I'm not selling as anything could happen! Dodgy companies dodgy deals dodgy # 1 Top Riser?
Costs reduced further.
The wording coming months seems to give the impression that they are working hard on a deal
or deals. Hopefully the wait will not be too long. They need to take a small stake in a producing field even if it’s only a few hundred barrels a day. At $100 a barrel it soon adds up.
At least more cost cutting, agree with others that doing deals now must be even more difficult, let’s wait.
Nothing to see here, just another rat leaving the sinking ship, won’t be any oil and gas companies giving away cheap assets now the political agenda has changed, hell, even caudrella is getting the go ahead for fracking!
Just pigs with nose in trough here.
Welcome back Leslie Peterkin!
a disgrace of a company.
Well bought a few today after losing £5k on the way down
Bottom draw at this price?
Tough ask for any real money to trust this BOD so soon 6-12 months before the dust settles i recon?
Fingers crossed something comes of it....
Yep think you're right ... looked into them more and think the ship is sinking now ... too many holes and too much water pouring into save it.
I don’t see how they can say they are fully funded for the year for anything other than paying salaries?
Any new venture would need a cash injection which would in turn mean a discount cash raise and likely consolidation
I am in the same boat.
I have been watching it for a while and saw the nose dive after the drilled and struck thin air.
I dont think its worth a punt to be honest
they haven't got anything in the pipe line " no pun intended" from what i can see they are
just a shell of a company at the moment
Hi all ... I've had ADV on my watch list for over a year but only really due to luck rather than judgement never bought any shares ... it had just risen too much by the time I was ready to buy ... presume lots of people lost lots of money when it collapsed but I'm wondering whether it's approaching a price now worth taking a medium term punt on ... any thoughts ? Cheers
Not much interest today but Oil's definitely the investment for me! Very briefly this morning EOG was # 1 Top Riser and I'm expecting ORCA to also occupy that spot fairly soon. Not to mention LBE and LOGP. All are long term holds for me.
Amin "They should be suing risc for the inept report they provided and someone should be pursuing Peterkin for pulling out phrases such as "champagne on ice"
I think it's strange that no comment has been made by the BOD regarding the expensive and and fundamentally positive reports of the seismic data. I read most of the RISC, and don't recall seeing any caveats mentioned specifically - but of course I don't claim to be expert in these matters.
It would appear that nothing in the reports dampened Peterkin's enthusiasm either...
@beardozer
Sorry, I meant that my opinion is different to yours on incentivisation. But yes, we both want success here.
@Dai
All good thanks. I keep popping by on HE1 to keep an eye on things there. I see our mate ITV is still on-form. I’ll be joining in again on there once activity picks up a bit. If the rig gets sorted it could be an exciting year for sure.
Hope all good with you too.
