"The Board has also declared a further special dividend of 46.0 pence per share reflecting the first payment of the phased return to shareholders of the proceeds from the sale of the Penguin Portals comparison businesses. This brings the total interim dividend to 161.0 pence, made up of a normal dividend of 87.9 pence per share and a total special dividend of 73.1 pence per share.
Payment will be on 1 October 2021. The ex-dividend date is 2 September 2021 and the record date is 3 September 2021."
Correct me if I am wrong but It seems like most analysts have a pt of £ 30 then if we drop to £ 30 after xdivi this Thurs 2 Sept then will it fail to recoup to £ 36 and continue to make record highs or the £ 36 sp now will be the peak which it will never reclaim?
Housebuilder... I waited to buy in until the last ex div date had passed and thought I'd bought well. In hindsight, of course, it was a mistake because this sp is still climbing and I missed the last dividend. Happy to hold now and collect the next big one. It's all a gamble of course. Good luck to everyone here.
With an RSI of 77 over last 20 days it is mighty hot. Even over 100 days the RSI is just over 60. I think GBP 36 is very spicy and, like you, am waiting for the pull-back but when?
John Kingham (UK Value Investor - check him out on interweb) reckons if he HAD to own just one share it would be ADM but he did an article recently giving fair value at around GBP 30.
Next ex-divi is 2nd Sept.
This keeps going up, I want to get in on a pullback but there doesn't seem to be one, makes going long somewhat difficult but there's got to be a short term sell off coming?!
Not bad........LOL
Hi adej1
Do we know the ex dividend dates for the rest of 2021 for sure?
Well there's your answer. Great RNS, with half year profits £450m- £500m and an interim dividend between 110p & 125p.
Plus they are going to give us back £400m as a special dividend from the asset sale.
Up 107p but this should be much higher. Even at the lower end of estimates with an annual dividend of 220p a 5% yield would price these at £44 per share.
how a share can go up on no news like adm, which is up four days in a row and only 18 points off its all time highs, which it looks like exceeding, I thought it would perform 2 days up 1or 2 down then repeat!
Indeed. It will be good if it would stay there - and my dividend arrived. :-)
Hi why worry,
We did get to predivi level 2 days ago.
Good morning all.
It's not looking like a great day today, but I'm hoping/expecting this will continue to slowly recover to at least its pre dividend price.
Before I contact my brokers, I'd be grateful to know if anyone else is still waiting to receive their dividend payment, which I believe was due on June 4th and I had expected to have arrived in my account by now?
Many thanks
Looks like we could be making a move to reclaim all time highs wether it's adm specific or just following main market ie ftse 100 bullishness today is another matter!...
last time admiral went xdividend on 3/9/20 for a total divi of 91.2p made up of special and interim similar to today price dropped by 112 p on the day but today the price drop was much more -146 or 4.69 % for a smaller divi of 86p which is a bit worrying if you had bought on the day before to benefit from the dividend hoping price to recoup quickly so you can get out at break-even and still have the dividend,on 3/9 price moved back above the pre XD day price in four days! does not feel like it's going to be so quick this time!
Any thoughts on price action for this tomorrow xdividend date and and in the short to medium term afterwards?
Going xdividend 6 may,any thoughts on sp movement till then?
Hoping this dropping with share price starts to slow down ,an example gdr rising with so many buyers moving in again Today
after that rns , gdr a share that share price dropped so much ,hoping adm might start to move up again ,and see more buyers and less sellers .
Probably because they are making it nigh on impossible to take out a policy with them - they've given me a cracking quote but the website refuses to accept payment, referring to a helpline which redirects to the website. I'm taking my business to a reputable outfit and suggest many others are doing the same!
Why is this share is keep falling? Is this a good investment?
agreed, and brilliant yield over the years too,
Stonking share this is. Just keeps grinding north.
Admiral has pulled its special dividend but is sticking with its final dividend of 56.3p. Good news for income-focused investors in the face of many dividend cuts elsewhere. according to https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/d-buy-shares-may-regardless-075811311.html
What makes the price for this shi.. crooks ??/ is because they don't pay anyone out ,so they worth a lot ???read the reviews for this pile of sh..
Delighted with today's results...onwards and upwards!
