Hi all. Just taken a first toe in the water with these. Mainly on the dip in price. I now need to try and catch up with events and do a bit more research but should be spending a bit more time in here.
265k share trade done at 1835 for 7.7milion showing on the lse website. £29.42 per share, hopefully a nice rise tomorrow.
I already hold DLG alongside ADM stock. Also holding AV., PHNX, and LGEN in the insurance sector.
They are all down today.
Sell now and buy DLG
Dlg similar profit to admiral but 10% divi and valued at half of admiral
I agree. I don't see much has changed.
The SP has dipped before and risen eventually.
I hold for the divi so unless forced to sell the SP has little effect.
Munich Re sold 12.1 million shares (4% of the company) in one go. That big a seller will always drop the price , take it as a buying opportunity. They had been in since 2002 and at one point owned 15.1% of the company so they have banked a nice profit but have been reducing their position gradually for years.
My view is that there is still money to be made and that this will pay good dividends for years to come. Just hope the price stays low for a few more weeks until my next top up.
Yes, me too. I'm quite taken aback because I've held them for over a year and they've always seemed a sound buy. I think I'll stick and ride it out.
Thanks.
I missed that.
Click on ADM share news above
Its down over 5%, thats quite a tumble in an hour.
Anyone know why its dropped today.
Its taken me red on this stock for the first time in ages.
I bought ADM stock a while back, mostly for the dividend.
423 shares at £29.1286. I liked the buisness then and haven't changed my view.
The markets are not happy at the moment, but I bought this to hold for 10 years, and unless the business model changes for the worst, I will hold through any dips. I do love a divi.
Well seems it pulled back a little no surprise as people do believe it looks cheap however will still be dropping below £30
Well it has started now and trend will continue downwards
Seems to be tumbling now
Certainly not to late to get out mind you that being said most won’t monitor this
I agree some will definitely hold until the bitter end oh u prefer to cut my losses soon rather than later mind you I learnt the hard but much easier to do now I've been on the otherside.
Ok...it may well drop below 30 but why will it? Financial reasons? Market reasons? Please tell me. Opinions are great but must be founded on a reason surely? As I said I don't have a crystal ball. If you intend to buy at 30....why? Financial reasons? Market reasons? That's all I'm asking then we'll all learn something. Have fun
Good afternoon ladies and gents,
You are right and everyone is entitled to an opinion based on there own research and beliefs however as they say the proof is in the pudding.
I do agree it is over bought and shall be going below £30.00 but please do of course do your own research not to long from now people will be saying SP manipulation all really just clutching at straws and certainly won't believe that there wrong these are the ones that will hold to a lower price and then decide to sell.
But as one said DYOR.
Regardless of you tell people it’s an opinion that’s all and this is a discussion board nothing more but I’ll agree £30 and below is coming over over bought.
Hmmm well I'll see you at £30 then
Why? Sounds to me its just because you've all sold and now you're just talking it down so you can buy again. Ok, sounds like a decent strategy IF it
happens.... but then you're also accepting that it will rise again because you have confidence in the company after all. Is that so?
Also, nobody has given a reason yet for your theory it will drop to £30 or less. If you intend to buy at that price explain why. There are many shares that have dropped 10-15% in the last month. It's the market. Having said all that, we all keep hearing about the market correction....whenever that is. If only I had the crystal ball ! GLA
That would not be a surprise one does expect this however the price overall will be still going below £30 I would suggest to wait when it get to that point as I do believe it may go lower
Well that says it all really problem is alot of people would of bought near the top but what they don't realise is there only further there's loses its a hard thing to do sometimes but it's also the right thing.
Definitely good time come out if that’s not an indication I don’t know what is I’ll be removing the the rest from the pension.
