Just had an electronic notice for proxy voting into my ii account, for AGM of ANGLO CONGOLESE ENTERPRISES LIMITED (presumably AAOG).
1 TO RECEIVE THE COMPANY'S ANNUAL ACCOUNTS AND STRATEGIC, DIRECTORS' AND AUDITOR'S REPORTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 3 1 DECEMBER 2020
2 TO RE-APPOINT CROWE LLP AS AUDITORS TO THE COMPANY
3 TO RE-APPOINT DEXTER FERREIRA AS A DIRECTOR OF THE COMPANY (
4 TO GRANT THE DIRECTORS AUTHORITY TO ALLOT SHARES
5 TO DISAPPLY PRE-EMPTION RIGHTS
6 TO AUTHORISE THE COMPANY TO MAKE MARKET PURCHASES OF ORDINARY SHARES
Any thoughts?
Sounds like a different company to me, we are Anglo African oil and Gas PLC.
I never owned any ANGLO CONGOLESE ENTERPRISES shares, but looking at companies house, there is a (now dissolved) company by that name that WAS called ANGLO AFRICAN OIL & GAS LIMITED back in 2016.
So wondering what this is about.
I have received Instruction Form (voting form) for AAOG AGM.
As the beneficial holder of 2m shares (£2k notional value) with the prospect of being diluted from near zero to near absolute zero value I shall be voting against special resolutions 5 & 6, for all the good it will do me!
A corrected voting form was issued this morning... definitely AAOG.
I have looked in my fidelity account and I haven’t received any notification about voting or the AGM, is it just me but I never seem to get any notifications about GM or voting rights, all I get is when the company’s are doing placing and get asked to I want to buy more shares
Can someone share a link to what has been said thanks
Shouldn't we get an official PR ?
Usually I would email the company and enquire about the AGM but after more than 20 emails and not one reply I decided to phone them. The phone has been disconnected.
What a way to run a business, no wonder we are in this mess.
As some of you was saying there is an AGM today can someone please share a link because I still haven’t be notified about it or can I find anything on the internet, also I haven’t had a share certificate and they are still in my account untradeable
I don’t think there was a AGM it would of been announced on the AAOG web site.
What’s happening here? Anything? Mr. Forrest’s plan for AAOG to buy half of his stake in Poundland seems not to have gone through and can’t now, can it? They’d have to be co-guarantors with SEL of the Poundland loan, and they’re not. Is AAOG a write-off?
I believe it is now a Shell Company ...
These can become quite lucrative (multiples) if they can find a good assett to drop into it
Just my opnion

DutchStanton: Thanks for this. I’m no expert on the AIM rules, but don’t you have to be listed on AIM to be a cash shell? AAOG’s share trading was cancelled in May, so they're no longer listed, are they? They’d have to seek re-admission to trading. I don’t know how complicated this process is but it must diminish the attractions of AAOG to its intended suitor, surely? Still, negotiations were still going at the time of the cancellation, so I suppose you never know.
I should of said
"Potential Shell Company"
