Sharegerbil...
There are a few billion shares for the 40% discount placees to sell into the market. Looks like your pal HandSpringGuy made the same mistake as you. He also thought the after hours prints were 'buys'. Dear oh dear... Do folk never learn?
Why did the directors not participate in this placing?
When is the next placing?
When will the shares consolidate?
These should be the questions on your mind.
Not in the 2's as predicted?
Naivety abounds.
GL.
All of those huge trades yesterday showing at close one for over 127 million shares- last bits of the placing stock and people still think it wasn’t foward sold! Where did they get all that amount of stock from then considering they aren’t supposed to hit the market until next week! Naivety here is breathtaking! Fully funded, placing done, stock forward sold, shorted to lower placing price and now off we go - expect lots of positive news released one after the other inc the rumoured 100% buy out and interview! However that Oz naked short will still need to cover ouch they will soon get frozen out! IMHO DYOR

How much credibility does a company still have after the flow test RNS debacle
Fair point everyone should weigh the credibility of all the posters here, as I have always said, judge by the content, not the posters anonymous handle
Onwards and upwards from here, placing out the way and plenty of newsflow to look forward to with the promise of being fully funded for the next 12 months minimum :))

Information and informed opinion is not your enemy, or malicious intent
Consider what happens when investors trade on misinformation, such as the mega hype cycle of 2021
All the average investors get robbed, by a few sharks.
Think on what you and others might have done if FOMO created by misinformation had taken over, would you have averaged up like the agenda driven rampers were pushing
It may be better to sit here with less shares at a lower price, and weigh the options coldly
Poor and incomplete flow results, a company the polishes the turd to the extreme, with ~29b shares and a stated intent to consider a consolidation
IMO they will push hard for it, as it is illiquid on the ASX, where trade moves, at a SP of .003c for the average investor are
up 25% or down 33% to meet the market.
Olderwiser, you are an anonymous person on chat board. Investors should really listen to the official line from the company. At least they know who that person is and what their agenda is. Its up to them to decide if want to invest off that info. No one knows who you or Scot are or what your agenda is so why would anyone listen to you.

I agree 88e are talking positive, as they always have, but on credibility
Who should you believe, the people that have been proven correct, and continued to stay on the facts, despite the abuse
Or
The people that printed fully funded, then raised capital at a 40% discount the next day, if memory serves correctly
Munnie
Why are you on here, how many shares have you? Just asking for a friend
Although I have blocked em I will ask again
Scott and your Chum OW why are you on here? Investing in any share is our own choice…
Please please block these two and they will go away

Yes Scot. That guy…because how he decides to spend his own money is frankly entirely up to him but the rules of ASX dictate that all developments have to be accounted for and fairly reported. So he can’t say things like “very good results “ when results are poor…despite what you and your buddies would love people to believe.
And forgive me for calling 88e a mining company but they do mine the Permian basin I believe. Arguing semantics to try and sound cleverer than you are highlights just how petty you are.
Older, I think we can all agree now that 88E will not be drilling again in Alaska without the support of a partner, and likely nowhere else, what we can't agree on is whether any of the news was a success or not. You and the market say no, LTHs say yes for obvious reasons, so why are you still beating a dead horse? I think you and others have succeeded in informing us all that 88E is not a commercial oil developer so please leave us with a little hope.
Derampers, you must be very proud of your achievement, we LTHs have lost out yet again.
Onwards and upwards with my other companies, I hope.
Scot, HSG was referring to the lawful side of AG regards his interpretation or promoting of success, nothing to do with whether he was a shareholder as why indeed would he listen to someone who wasn't?
It's getting old this argument, and almost as boring as the price of a barrel on one side of the fence or the other.

HandspringGuy - are you referring to Ashley Gilbert, MD of ASX-listed E&P company 88 Energy (not mining company)? The guy who is so confident in the quality of his company's assets that he hasn't invested a single Aussie dollar in the company shares? That guy?
The guy who *elected* to take his first 88E bonus in cash rather than shares? The guy who has sold *all* the performance rights granted to him as soon as practically possible (Jan '23 and Jan '24). You must mean that guy, correct?
The guy who didn't find 0.16p a sufficiently attractive prospect to support yesterday's fundraise with a single dollar of his own cash?
You surely cannot mean that guy, can you HandspringGuy?
To the person or persons thinking Dave Wall may be lining up a triumphant return to executive duties at 88E, why on earth would he do that? At Inyati Capital he's clipping a mighty 6% of funds raised in every fundraise since he departed the company in April '21. If I was a betting man I'd bet Dave Wall departed 88E with a huge database of contact details of investors/traders/punters who had a connection with 88E during his time in charge. I would be mighty surprised if good ol' Dave Wall's Inyati Capital hadn't collected a 6% commission on the *majority* of the AU$100m capital raised by 88E since he departed. Do the maths, folks.
88E shareholders have treated Dave like a king, or perhaps cult leader is more accurate? 88E bought XCD (in which Dave was the largest or second largest shareholder, remember) at a premium, and then bumped the bid further! They also paid him a decent salary along the way, naturally. Then he and Erik budgeted for and overspent on the stranded folly which was Peregrine, soaking up the benefits of an organised social media campaign as they went on their merry way.
Yep, you must mean that Dave Wall? He's some guy.
By the way, Brom, you never did get back to the forum with an answer to the question posed about Erik Opstad. Is he still retained by 88E? If not, why not? You stated you had excellent communication links with the company....what's going on?
Neither older nor wiser ......
OW, you keep talking about the poor results…but the company says the results were very positive.
Now, who should I believe: the CEO of an international mining company, mandated by law to be upfront and honest? …or a keyboard warrior with an axe to grind?
I think I’ll go with option number 1, thanks
Read very carefully
Commencing a formal farm-out process to attract a high-quality new partner to fund the next
stage of appraisal and development;
What does that mean, It means the next well is going to require a new partner, no new partner, no new well
88e are walking away from any more big spending on Phoenix, makes sense given the poor results, kick the can down the road, keep looking for a partner for a few years, keep hope alive
Aaaaand any large sells that have taken place would be history now, like the ones under 0.16 earlier today. Onwards and upwards as they say.
16.5
16.9
17.0
…I’d say they were probably large buys
Johnwick
You mean the multiple large sells that have been reported after hours? Those 'buys'?
Mmmm hmmm.
Munnie, the biggest deramper of all. So all the buyers now are mugs then, especially the 25m buyers. You will eventually have egg on your face, Matter of time.
Looks like gerbils here still saying it will go up.
Chief gerbil, Sharebel (sharegerbil?), keeps buying (or pretending to).
All time lows SP after a 5m capital raise and more to come.
Theres the Markets answer to this 'oil discovery'... dilution and more dilution.
See you at 0.1p soon enough.
Very good sharebell , but just to know the shares will hit the market soon and is a lot to digest before is gonna go higher
Or sharebel topping up again, rude not to as he would say.
