Time to strap in and ride this out.
There are much bigger issue in the world ATM.. I hope that soon this improves for the sake of people and not money.
Retirement may be delayed but there’s much bigger things in play right now. Peace.
Cheers MO.
I do drop in and read the posts on CUSN but I’ve nothing to add of any use so just read. I’m also not invested in CUSN ATM.
As for SLI & E3 … ouch is all I can say. On the last few days.. I’m thinking someone’s said it doesn’t work or something equally bad!!! SLI has been crucified recently.. I could see the games with E3 but thought SLI were further down the path.
The world of stocks is not foot ATM .. by BTC plays are struggling to say the least!!!!! Might just have to wait a few years for that to all come back.
Keep in touch and I’ll keep reading NEL, CUSN as my next investments may be in there .. we’ll just MORE in NEL ;-)
VIS - this applies to you too. Drop a line here on anything other than CUSN. See you over there.
All things SLI & E3. E3 news soon. SLI going forward to commercial production. Whats not to like.
SLI have confirmed E3 brine will work technically.
Nothing more to add really, all good.

I would nudge people to look at recycling company Li-Cycle with this in mind and a good price too after this weeks drop.
Main client LGES LG Energy who will supply Li-Cycle with old lithium batteries inc all the nickel and cobalt etc... Just have a look.

Cheer up tyson. Inflation inflation inflation , oh and Russia.
You have bought well. I am happy with my buy prices in the main 75% were good buys so thats probably better than the average punter.
I know you have bought and well so dont beat yourself up. Its never plain sailing.
You know how fast our shares can move both down and up. We are just in a down phase.
ALL hydrogen and lithiums are up and down then back up and down. Its just the world markets working through covid, now inflation and throw in a ****y Russia and probable Chinese / Taiwan conflict and yeah you have to weigh up risk v rewards.
I am here until 2025 and my 55th. Plenty of time to x3 my investment and retire. Virtually all my holdings are predicted to hit their stride 2024 - 25.
Fingers crossed things are settled by then. If not it goes on year to year as when I can retire. No worries here.
Here, E3,in fact everything. Wow.
Retiring at 55 is looking shaky for me.. more like 60 at this rate ;-(

A note to those who are not fully all over sli.
Today volume broke 2 million. That is not a common event. Even with these recent drops 2/3rds of the times 2m has been broken in the last 6 months have been followed up to 5-7 days by a quite positive upward move in sp.
Complete guess US$2.00 move upwards could be on the cards. This is NOT financial advice but just a simple mans observation. Please do your own research.

“Our relationship with Volkswagen significantly expands the 24M ecosystem,” expressed Naoki Ota, president and CEO of 24M. “Their investment, collaborative development and ability to scale globally will accelerate our manufacturing platform, thereby replacing the conventional manufacturing process and fast tracking electric vehicle adoption.”
The third new agreement is with Vulcan Energy Resources: Volkswagen has now signed a binding contract with the German-Australian lithium company to supply CO2-neutral lithium from the Upper Rhine area in Germany. The contract provides for the supply of lithium hydroxide over a period of five years starting in 2026. Similar deals have just been signed by Stellantis and Renault with Vulcan Energy. LG Energy Solution is also among the customers.
In contrast to the other two carmakers, Volkswagen does not provide any details on the quantity purchased (Stellantis: 16,200 and 19,800 tonnes per year from 2026, ).
FERYR sees it price rise today 10% whilst Standard Lithium is up 8%. I wonder if the long link I posted about Standard , Lanxess, Koch, 24m , Freyr and all round car manufacturer Stellantis who did a European deal with VW & VULCAN are now in a position after todays Standard Lithium news of moving to commercial is the key.
Next up a deal from Stellantis imho.
Standard Lithium and Koch Industrials have a possible supply link to 24M only signed in the last 2 months. 24M will need a lot if lithium ....

STANDARD LITHIUM "we now have the only continuous, 24/7 start-to-finish brine-to-carbonate plant in North America."
Standard Lithium commented “the Standard Lithium team has been extremely busy over the last quarter. We’ve continued to integrate processes into our El Dorado Demonstration plant so that we now have the only continuous, 24/7 start-to-finish brine-to-carbonate plant in North America. Owing to the keystone investment into the Company by Koch Strategic Platforms in Q4 last year, we’ve been able to grow our team and commission intensive studies that start us on the real path towards commercialization. We and our partners have significantly increased our knowledge of the scale-up process and have a better understanding of what the first commercial plant will look like. We have a lot of exciting work to complete in 2022 and we look forward to providing updates as we continue to grow our team, bring on new project execution partners and move Standard Lithium on its path of delivering the first new commercial lithium project in the United States for several decades.”
LITHIUM COMMERCIAL SUPPLY of Lithium-Selective Sorbent
The Company’s LiSTR DLE process uses a bespoke, custom-formulated lithium-selective sorbent based on a titanate architecture. The sorbent that has been successfully running in the demonstration plant for the past 20 months was manufactured outside of North America and represents the first generation of the material.
Since Q1 2021, Standard Lithium has been working with one of the world’s largest industrial material suppliers, with a specialization in ceramics and catalyst compounds, to optimize the performance of the sorbent, and to develop a scalable commercial manufacturing process in North America. This work has been successfully completed at various R&D facilities in North America and Europe and substantial improvements in the performance of the sorbent have been achieved. The next generation of the material will be produced using a full-scale commercial production process and is expected to arrive at the El Dorado, Arkansas Demonstration Plant during Q2 2022.
STANDARD LITHIUM COMMERCIAL PLANT PHASE !
First Commercial Plant Design and Planning
Standard Lithium has expanded its internal team and retained additional consulting services to advance all necessary project definition work for the Company’s first commercial lithium plant, intended to be constructed at Lanxess’s South Facility. The Company has completed initial site selection work within the available property envelope to determine a suitable location(s), and initial environmental and permitting screening has been completed with no significant issues noted. The Company has also retained one of North America’s largest and most respected engineering and construction organizations to complete a Preliminary Front End Engineering and Design (Pre-FEED) study. The Pre-FEED was commenced in Q4 2021 and is scheduled to be completed in Q2 2022. The study will be used to develop the initial design for the first commercial plant, as well as to provide all supporting engineering and costing data.
The findings from the Pre-FEED will be reviewed by the expanded Standard Lithium team and will be directly integrated into and form the basis for the next substantial phase of design work, the FEED study, which is intended to commence in Q2 2022. The FEED study will significantly advance the level of engineering design, constructability and associated costing of the first commercial project, and its main findings will be publicly reported as a NI 43-101 Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS). It is also expected that the FEED study will be converted into a lump-sum turnkey (LSTK) estimate that can be used for any future project financing activities that may be required. The Company will provide additional updates once the FEED study is awarded.

STANDARD LITHIUM PROVIDES PROJECT UPDATE
The Standard Lithium Demonstration Plant produces first-of-its-kind start-to-finish DLE to battery quality lithium carbonate in a single integrated process;
Standard Lithium expands team and retains one of North America’s largest engineering and construction companies to complete all necessary Pre-FEED studies for the first commercial plant; and,
Improves performance of proprietary sorbent and works with global manufacturer to secure domestic commercial supply
El Dorado, Arkansas – 20th January 2022 – Standard Lithium Ltd. (“Standard Lithium” or the “Company”) (TSXV: SLI) (NYSE American: SLI) (FRA: S5L), an innovative technology and lithium project development company, today offered an update on several project and other related developments.
SiFT Lithium Carbonate Plant
The ‘SiFT’ lithium carbonate plant was installed at the site in Q3 2021 (see September 1st news release) and has been successfully commissioned and used to produce battery-quality lithium carbonate at the plant. The lithium carbonate was produced at the SiFT Plant in a single crystallization stage (contrasting with multiple stages in a typical process). The crystals were washed twice using hot deionized water to attain battery-quality (>99.83% purity) lithium carbonate. This is the first of its kind demonstration of a continuous Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) plant being operated at scale, producing a concentrated lithium chloride intermediate product and directly converting to battery quality lithium carbonate in a single crystallization step. Completion of this phase of work is another important milestone for the Company and its technology-driven approach to development.
The current iteration of the Company’s proprietary LiSTR DLE demonstration plant in El Dorado, Arkansas also uses a novel osmotically assisted High-Pressure Reverse Osmosis (HPRO) unit to concentrate the LiCl solution prior to carbonation. This HPRO unit was successfully integrated into the plant and has been operating according to design criteria since September 2021 and consistently producing LiCl solutions containing approximately 7,000 mg/L lithium."

…could do with it being good.. getting wiped today!!!
Earlier research led by the US Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory, published in The Journal of Physical Chemistry C, showed that as much as 15,000 metric tons per year of lithium carbonate could be recovered from a single geothermal power plant in California’s Salton Sea area, the most mineral-rich brine source in the United States. There are currently 13 geothermal plants in the region and more are planned.
Can't wait for an update on Standard Lithiums progress. Should be very welcome news ;-)))

Cheers MO.
We are in similar boats.. Retire in 2-3 years @ 55 :-)
Though I have spread my ££ over many places: some good and some less so! Having made my “bets” I’m hoping enough of them come in.. a few are taking a little longer than I would like!!
Fingers crossed that E3 and SLI come good from here.. and a rise in BTC!!
I also have a small consideration in ADV.. expecting well results in next 10 days from Buffalo 10. They know there is oil there.. should be a lot. Confirmation will make the company, and ignite the sp.
Very early doors there tyson with ameriwest to the point of a stake being questioned so land is nearly clear. Dont want any unforseen surprises.
From the basics they have looked at oil well seismic data ( basically what I do ) and use the results from the to much reduce the drilling costs to depth.
With brines I would naturally prefer deep brine as it has more runthrough the lithium stratas and more time to mature / concentrate. One stake suggests brine at only 400-1000m. Hmmm not sure about that but it is one of two areas of interest with the other being 2000-4000ft down - tick.
I am happy with big bets on E3 , Standard Lithium and CUSN - will be buying CL 100% and will make CL balance up my future proflio. I want to retire in 3 years @ 55 , so perfect timing for all 3 to be multiples up on sp. 400% is 400% on any share so I've gone big on my most researched. Its a bet , a very big bet, but there are plenty of head turners coming in to play.
All I want is value initially and let the rest take care of itself as an investment not a trade of in and out.
Looks ok though Ameriwest
Sorry to hijack SLIs bb…

Tyson, I think its worth holding cusn. I guess you are around 12-15p ave. I think 21-23p is about right BUT the first company to process mica could be a real winner. This could really open up the amount of lithium they can produce. I would not say its a screaming buy but neither would I sell with room to take a short term drop with headroom to still be up.
Buying above 18-20p at the moment is one to do serious research on and a persons risk reward attitude.
Hold and wait until Cornish Lithium spin off.
…and is you doing the buying? ;-)
Fortunately “lithium” is doing ok. The rest of the the world is taking a right dive.. shouldve cashed 2 month’s ago! Time to hold on and wait..
Keeping thinking about CUSN, but seems risky. I concur with your SXX comment. Been their.. lost too much!
Tyson, my guess is the double flow tests which will establish the actual single best way to process bulk brines from LeDuc aquifier , all 13 kilometres x 8 kilometres. These tests are not to solve a problem ( in my view ) they are to decide the best and cheapest way to production in the quickest way. Someone knows and is gently buying.
What a week so far.. heading back to 3?? Hopefully as dropped significantly( no ££ to buy more at 2ish $!)
Didn’t see any news for the decline or the move up- except an new appointment - is Mr P that much of a “catch”

Standard Lithium - link via Koch SPF Industries ?
Note the question over T. Next state along for lithium supply.
"Battery backup storage is a relatively new application for lithium-ion batteries, Barron’s says, but some companies are already making inroads. It points out that Tesla‘s battery storage business generated $806 million in third quarter sales out of total sales of $13.8 billion. That’s a small percentage today, but Elon Musk has said he expects energy storage to be as important to the long term profitability of the company as building electric vehicles.
Clearly integrating renewable energy into the electrical grid will depend on energy storage techniques, whether mechanical, pumped hydro, or batteries. It will be interesting to see who Freyr’s customer for that 31 GWh of batteries turns out to be.
Thumbs. Up !!
Lets hope it all goes.. coming from way back ATM!

Where are you at with hydrogen ? Still in Linde and ITM ? Where would you suggest I have a look ?
I think there are too many single companies , could name 10 now. Holding all would water down my growth potential but I guess you could argue that spreading risk makes more sense ? Most seem to have dipped heavily , recovered a bit and sliding again, so I have uk cover of ITM but my main large holding is NEL who are all over the place, have a world class factory now operating and some huge clients. Gone big with them. Intetested to her your current thoughts ?

Standard Lithium mentioned. Tick.
"Dr Wedin said Rio Tinto’s announcement that it’s acquiring a direct lithium extraction project in Argentina for more than $825 million was a ‘vote of confidence’, as was a $140 million investment by a subsidiary of Koch Investments Group into Standard Lithium, which is planning to extract lithium from tail brine in Arkansas.
Vulcan has offtake agreements with four tier one car manufacturers, including Volkswagen and Renault groups. Dr Wedin said securing these agreements has involved visits to the geothermal site and numerous presentations.
“I’d say the smart money is investing into this space,” he said.
“There’s a lot of debate in technical circles about whether direct lithium extraction works, it has been operating commercially on brines to extract lithium since the 1990s.
“For each project, the brine is slightly different geochemically. You need to tweak the brine and absorbents to suit what you are doing and you need to tweak the parameters to optimise it, but it’s not a binary – will this work, wont it work, it works, it’s happening, it accounts for a significant amount of global production already, so it’s just a matter of tailoring it to your particular project.
“There’s always execution risk with any chemicals project and there are a lot of moving parts, there’s lots of things we have to control, there’s a lot of risks we have to control. We are building a geothermal project, a lithium extraction project, a lithium processing project.
“What would, in the normal course of events, be at least three separate businesses, we’re rolling into one fully-integrated renewable energy and zero-carbon lithium business, I mean there’s heaps of execution risk, so we shouldn’t shy away from that, but individually, all of those different technologies, we’re very confident all of those work.”

Looking good and fine tweaks. See the battery links Koch have in the All sold out production thread with links included. Strong buy at these levels.

Replying during a quick work break, will post a better reply later but to say modular , multi sites and selling the tech for royalties to other arkansas ops who have the same brine formation looks good. How to put a value on that ? Not sure
MO
Good post. Anyone who invests US$100m for a 9% stake in a company is certainly expressing a vote of great confidence and has done considerable due diligence.
$100m will presumably enable SLI to get cracking on its installation and perhaps raise some project finance. Whilst there is a little dilution I think that is probably going to be acceptable if Koch brings some expertise to the party.
Questions to ask......
Will SLI be tied to Koch for any services or equipment? Will the prices of S+E be arms length? Will Koch have board representation? How are the other 91% of the shares owned? Lots of small shareholders or few bit /powerful holders. What expertise does Koch have? Are there any synergies derived from Koch's presence? How soon will the project be up and running? Does this investment bring forward the date for start of operations?
On a different line of thinking, I wonder if the publication of the Blue Orca report was intended to scupper the Koch investment? It would be surprising if Koch had not gone through the BO report very thoroughly before this announcement.
And MO, what cash flow are you expecting when SLI's first project is up and running? How does this compare with the market cap?
Standard Lithium get US$100M in investment.

STANDARD LITHIUM , I was wondering when VW did the 5 year deal with EU Vulcan , who would they look to for the US supply ?
Well the 24M deal for batteries is possibly a clue as KOCH SPECIALIST PLATFORM buying $100 million directly in to Standard Lithium AND buying in to 24M looks more than coincidence ? That opens up a VW lithium supply demand side ? Also STELLANTIS - DODGE, RAM, CHRYSLER MOTORS - MoU with Standard Lithium.....they have LG ENERGY DEAL Signed !
STANDARD LITHIUM BRINES - VW Sign off take with vulcan brine operations.
MASSIVE News that VW powerhouse are happy with vulcan DLE PROCESSING :-)))
