Scott
if ya fancy an high risk punt, try bce....its drilling for oil n gas, beginning in about 8 days time.
0.05 is the year low,it should rise a good bit, before news,so you cant lose at the current price.
the chance of success,on news,is 50%.....so if you want to be safe, sell before drill data news, that should be due half way thro may
nitezzzzzzz
T, I'll have look , I'm stinging a bit fron the tech sell off, ,only holding a few (100) Nv, but showing a 6k loss atm ,I'm holding till 2030, yes really. :)).
Keep buying the dip guys I'm making good money adding to my holdings every time the sp dips 2% plus .
Two steps forward one step back, creatin.g an upward trend
Good luck everyone.
Scott1, obviously some precious soul not liking the odd Nvid post over on Glen and keeps hitting the 'report' button. No prizes for guessing who lol.
Anyway, assume you nip in here sometimes, so just a quick post to say WHAT A DAY today.
Nice to hear one of the Glen regulars making a few quid, even if the 'sad soul' doesnt like it.
Nice one
Daytrader/scott
both,filtered and reported
lol.lol.
Lol Troajan, a pretty sad state of affairs that the odd post isnt permitted, friendly board is old Glen until my gew pet stalkers turned up.
Just seen NVD3 on here - would have been a belter to have had a few of those leveraged darlings today :)
Daytrader
yep,ive noticed you have a stalker ,here n there.
not in owt overseas, other than the pension fund stuff, which is an assortment,to put it mildly
everyone i know, seems to be into the big yank 7 guns.
the yanks know how to pump, their own comps.
Me either Troajan, but this last year or two i have adopted a change in strategy andbspread the pot around more, used to go heavy on few stocks, but not so much these days. Getting sensible in my old age. Trouble is more stuff to watch over.
Have to say i fancy a few NVd shares, seem to alway be heading upwards, just couldnt pay $1k for a single share though, dunno why but doesnt sound reasonable, but after the split who knows.
Daytrader
the trouble with going all in ,on one,or two....if they run into to trouble, like polx yesterday, your well and truly stuffed.....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhVMmNN1wx0
but on the flip,if you strike it lucky,it can be rewarding
so yeah, spreading it about,is a lot safer on the sleep patterns.lol.
yank stocks?....i know plenty of uk stocks, that have done similarly aswell.
take some of these copper producers, theyre all up 200/300% in the last 12 or so months
he1 tanked to 0.19,then did a drill and rose 1500% in a few days,earlier on,in the year
but uk stocks, just arnt fashionable, hence why everyone buying them out, because theyre so undervalued.
Definately a worry Troajan and does lead for some sleepless nights on occasion, im a long termer myself, been doing this since i was 19, and generally if you buy big decent companies (ftse stuff etc) father time comes to the rescue a lot of the time if you drop a goolie and buy at the wrong price or something goes pear shaped.
Of course doesnt always work out, Lloy/BT/VOD being obvious examples of never rising again sp's but ive done pretty good with that strategy over the years, letting things compound up is the way to go, but am getting older so id sooner play a bit safer nowadays.
Thats why i tend to keep away from Aim (although i have a few eg Soli@£9.45 & crappy BOO@40.995p), bit too much of a gamblers casino for me and im too tight to take that sort of 'risk' with my pot, never been in a bookies. I still hold big positions in Glen/BP/SHELL/RYA, and have added heavily in LGEN/PHNX recently to. Relative tidlers in SOLI/BARC/LLOY/SMIF/AAL/WIZZ/CEY/CCL/PSN and a few more.
Deffo agree UK is under the cosh still, needs to pull its socks up a little
Blimey,i had to click onto your history,to get back on here,its got a ticker,that my memory,cant remember.lol.
quite an assortment daytrader,a lot more than me,in the aim trading pot,
its 100% about timeing aswell.
the worst stock in a bull sector, can do better than a fantastic money tree stock in a bear trend,
like vod and bt,a few years back, probably 10,they were the hot stocks of the day,so if you went long, this bear trend as smashed the telecon sector,to bits......but that the time to buy,on the downtrend lows and both have started to recover from those lows.
its all about timing.
atm...nasdaq stocks are the super bull trend, but all bull trends....burst at some point
nitezzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Certainly BT has picked up recently after its smashing, VOD still on its rear saddled with debt, but yeah timing is king - also the tricky part
DT; Yes what a day Yesterday Up £21k at one stage , i felt hard done to when it finished up at £17,500 :}
This stock split can only be good for us , so much more attractive to private investors at $100+ a share than $1000+ a share, happy days DT.
U2
just remember our deal....33/33/33.....the other 1% is fee's
lol.
, I'm still looking for a BIG Envelope Mr T, :}
NV Just treading water atm . Holiday Weekend across the pond i believe .?
Excellent day for you Scott, chuffed on your behalf.
Forget the envelope though, im anticipating a nice big box with an armed guard :)
Scott
