I foolishly sold out on the 10% results spike, not trusting my luck to hold. Thought about buying back in, wish I had? Is this the share buyback starting? Is it over now or sustainable, in people's opinion? Should we wait to buy low again?

I've just been watching the local news and see that Vestas could be the favourites to sign a deal for Navitas Bay off the coast of Bournemouth. The company trying to build the wind farm are looking at reducing the number of wind turbines but increasing the size of each to about 200Meters high. Not sure the locals will like that either.

oriental friends are moving in http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-25623400# are vesta's over there?
Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems has announced that it will cut more jobs after it reported third-quarter earnings that missed analysts' estimates. Earnings before income tax (EBIT) excluding extraordinary items fell to €13m, compared to the market consensus forecast of €53.2m. The after-tax loss rose to €175m from €60m in the year-ago period. Revenue, on the other hand, rose 49% to €1.99bn. Although the company reiterated its 2012 full-year guidance of a pro-forma EBIT margin of 0-4% and revenue of €6.5-8bn, it lowered its free cash flow forecast to between -€500m and €0, compared with a previous forecast of positive free cash flow. Vestas plans to reduce its staff from 22,721 workers in 2011 to 18,000 by the end of this year and to cut another 2,000 jobs in 2013. "Vestas is evaluating its manufacturing footprint including identification of outsourcing and divestment opportunities," the company said. "The additional cost savings are expected to amount to more than €150m on an annual basis, reducing the costs by more than €400m from year-end 2011 to year-end 2013."
Danish wind-turbine maker Vestas has confirmed that it is holding conversations with Japanese firm Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in order to seal a 'strategic alliance', Bloomberg reports. The talks follow speculation of a possible takeover of Vestas as renewable energy companies in Japan are enjoying a booming market following the Fukushima disaster. Vestas said that it will issue an announcement if the talks culminate into an agreement. Shares of Vestas climbed more than 17% in Copenhagen on Tuesday morning. Spanish rival Gamesa was also appearing to benefit from the news, gaining 4% early on.
