Besides, corona and flu viruses are unlikely to spread in regions close to equator, like Ghana and Sierra Leone. Over there, August is the coldest month of the year, at 24ºC.
By the time he signed a contract to sell them, the whole episode will be over and a vaccine will have been produced.
"there will be fresh demand for WSGs products and services."
PF wouldn't be doing his job properly if he wasn't trying to capitalise on it at the moment.
I think there's a good chance it could happen here. I've seen several companies put out RNSs recently that show they have products that will be in demand due to the spread of Coronavirus and the share prices have seen a big re-rate. There can't be many companies out there that have first hand experience of dealing with an epidemic so I think there will be fresh demand forWSGs products and services may be in demand.
Hope so panda as at the moment wsg is seen as a victim of the impact rather than a hero. B
WSG should be very well positioned to make money out of the panic, especially considering it has very recent experience of dealing with an epidemic. If we get an RNS to say it has won a large order for detection equipment or something like that we would see a huge rise as everyone would pile in.
Is there any benefit to our new holders offloading now. Seems to be unusual timing and they are not deterred by sub nominal returns. Nothing has changed unless some punter is moving in to easier returns like novacyt..... could at least wait till Friday. B
Certainly a lot of volume in terms of trades, nearly a 100, so all good especially if our new shareholders are playing. B
Whatever this virus done to the world markets it give me or anyone else interested a chance to add few here well below nominal value....see what happens next, soon enough....GLA.
So did i Slip, and now i'm convinced he didn't. if he "knew" it was going to be 28th Feb then it was still a high risk play to say feb rather than Q1 or next couple of months.
not that i'm bothered, feb, march, April....makes no difference so long as they don't have to raise again (which i don't think they do) and so long as the deal comes with reasonable terms (10 years plus)
off out to pick up the child from school
I honestly thought he knew the exact date when mentioning February. Only 2 days left....
Did PF never ever specify a month for a contract signing?
Sham - He has given descriptive / subjective indications of timescales but never a specific month. I doubt he unilaterally came up with it.
Back to tick tock now the dump printed.
Could affect to upside as security infrastructure is increased and cost may increase due to demand. I guess it’s an unknown then and that’s probably the issue.
Trek
PF has given plenty of deadlines in the past which were not adhered to, however CLNS and likes of riverfort and YA are causes of concern here. We shall see but Corona virus could affect port and airport and that would affect the revenue.
Quite agree Max
The world will continue to go round, and sooner,(or a little later ....) normal business will be resumed, and sentiment will improve....be brave when others fears comes to mind....will just have to ride the current storm I suppose, and as such added few here today on the back of this weakness.....GLA.
Virus hysteria is at play here, if does get worst then it can affect airline passenger and that would put a strain on group's already fragile resources.
