Covid sales must have added considerably given they are posting a “post tax” profit with lungi out of action for most of H1.
Or is the revenue mainly from Tema.. not sure why all the gloom.
I heard the webinar thing was poor... but didnt listen
"Everyone ready for the double digit announcement this week from the Pasty Fooler."
EVEN MONEY on the only double digit increase will have been his weight or waistline during lockdown
Thanks got my shares back from svs last week now in ITI.. not really been following here as been buying other shared. Surprised this is so cheap with good results due??? Im well under water atm.
Welcome back, Ian. it is a bit strange that we price has been allowed to get down here based on that note re profit (pre and post) but good for new investors.
“Notwithstanding the impact of COVID-19, trading for 2020 started on a positive note and this has continued throughout the first six months of the year. Accordingly, the Board expects to announce an increase of around 24% in H1 2020 revenues to c£7.0m (H1 2019: £5.6m) delivering a much-improved financial performance with a pre and post-tax profit. Cash at 30 June 2020 stood at c£1.6m”
Post tax profit, thats a first for WSG isnt it?
Ha, quite right with the little Britain reference. Ref profit is like us to be in Operating profit not this EBITDA nonsense.
Results on a Friday usually dont bode well but on this occassion i am more expectant of confirmation of further growth. Hopefully this will also include important information regarding profit/margins etc
A good result would be profit.
A good result would be to avoid resorting continually to bucket shops and bottom feeders for funding.
A good result would be to stop the constant share dilution.
A good result would be to actually sign off a profitable MSC
A good result would be no more Little Britain style photo ops by vending machines.
CBB - what results do you see as being a good result? They have already announced 24% growth in the webinar. This is just the paper trail? Unaudited of course...:
it's ok, fooler will be writing them on the back of a napkin the night before after scoffing down a 3 course meal, probably paid for on company expenses !!
and yes, unfortunately, i think his hat is fresh out of rabbits, and we can expect a drop in the region of perhaps 8% maybe as much as 10% given that ,if the figures accurately reported and as half as poor as expected, they will reveal that for a company that should be rolling in orders given the current pandemic and our ability to supply "specialist" equipment, in actual fact only small sales have been made, plus poor income, which i'll go as far as to say will be pretty much ZERO, from the vending machine elephant in the corner of the room.
I genuinely find myself wondering lately, if our failure to convert sales of scanners etc is a problem with us not being able to supply them when needed, I wonder what the lead time is on some of this equipment ?
I would of course love ot be proven wrong, but i see this on a spiral again, heading for the likes of darwin for funding.
Last time they were delayed because auditors needed more time. This time they are unaudited so no reason.
Like you say, any delay and this will drop. Likely to drop on the day anyway given current sentiment unless Fooler has any cards left to play. The Webinar told us most of what to expect and look how well that was received.
unaudited = vague and lacking any substance, will deliver more questions than answers, and tell us very little
As they are unaudited I can’t see any reason for them not to be.
As with the Webinar and last update, I have no expectations of anything significant that will change the mood here.
Westminster Group Plc (AIM: WSG), a leading supplier of managed services and technology-based security solutions worldwide, is issuing a trading update for the 6-month period to 30 June 2020 ahead of its 2020 unaudited interim results announcement which is expected to be released on 14 August 2020 .
