It is going to be an interesting day for sure. Volume is there. The results should follow the trading update, which suggests good results. The SP is only really recovering from an oversold floor.
I saw all the heated discussions on Tema price per teu etc.. doesn't matter What ten price per unit is but that the margins are similar to Lungi 60% which I’m told they are.. Income form Tema will show a Circa 50% increase this year and is growing but agree it has been initially underwhelming on expectations so far.
I disagree on a third msc - if they do finally nail the expected 2nd airport which is far greater pax than lungi, we will see way over 30p but thats all jam tomorrow until done.
Lots of bitterness on here from LTH which i am unfortunately one of, (8 years and counting ) but i think at least they deserve some credit for making a profit during Covid Lockdown and without any income from Freetown airport. Are we acknowledging that?
Tbh i concentrate on other stocks now but will Still look back in tomorrow. GL
I don’t know, they are looking to be in profit now a 3rd MSC would cement that and provide even more geographical diversity of income. Decent sized Saudi port or airport could send this flying
Ian - no disrespect but I think a third managed service contract won’t get this over 20p never mind 30-50p. It would have to be something massively out of our league to hit those stratospheric heights. TEMA was touted as a biggie and look at the reality on that and how the SP has reacted to the realisation of the true size there.
Interims aren't audited
off out to hope that the expectations are so low that they can't be missed
My guess for what surprise he has for us is that the auditor dropped their pen down the back of there desk and therefore results are delayed.
However hoping for real operating profit...
I’m just happy they are Now generating Net cash and will show a post tax profit for the first time ever..
WSG Really needs that 3rd Managed service contract to get this back up over 30p-50p. It will come one day, when is another matter, covid will have set back discussions for sure.
I’d like to think the Saudi JV will reap some reward. I also think their covid work will have helped put them on the map.
Few buyers ahead of tomorrow base on what we know already,(which is not as bad as the latest SP suggested....any surprises (good or bad....) will dictate the near term direction....
GLA.
What are the expectation for tomorrow ? We already know quite a bit from the Webinar and previous updates so headline figures aren’t going to surprise.
Will Fooler have any surprises or positive updates ? Will they be more of the same Jam tomorrow statements from all the previous updates ?
How will the SP react to a ‘steady’ update ?
I have no real expectations for anything significant in the update and therefore think the best we can hope for is that the SP doesn’t drop back on traders being disappointed.
looks like results are tomorrow after all ? see this on corporate website:
14th August 2020 Interim Results Announcement
pump, pump and more pump
Yes Ian, buys in the 8.7s being printed as sells, mms at it again!
Not to worry, tmrw should be a good day not to mention Friday, everything indicates positive results!
Strange how the mms didnt move the sp up or down today. Lost of buys sub mid price so showing in red, looks like all trades 8.7 buys and 8.5 sells? Tight spread if that correct...
Couple larger buys at close.
Calm before the norm.
No just pleased to see the return of the pump and dump brigade. It saves us a lot of work.
Surprisingly quiet on here given results with a confirmed post tax profit out in 2 days.. beats reading the usual moaning and bickering. Everyone must be happy .... or its the heat.
Already a fair bit for WSG's standards this morning. Today and tomorrow is going to have a fair amount of positioning ahead of results. Would not be surprised to see this back over 10p before Friday.
