I has bought some Shlumbergger shares in the USA.
All off us neads a bed, am I right?
Then why did you buy in the first place Garonne. Just sell out. Really simple.

Margherita's in Greece planning on spending another £billion. Avocet, the problem is, that this has been going down for years. Thankfully my average is "only" 84p. I feel for the poor sods who are marooned in triple digits!
For someone who doesnt care about the VOD sp you post an awful lot of tripe here gutter.
If faling hard know on a big up daye.
This ain't goode.
Please sell out Garonne. That would save us all from your daily moaning about the share price.
Investing is for years, not hours and days.
I know Steve. That's exactly what would happen. I've been caught out so often like here as I sold out of RR too early and bought into this absolute dog! Hindsight is a wonderful thing. I've got a masters!
Or even the same because loan interest is tax free while divi is paid after tax
The main thiing is if you sell will thiis suddenly start to rise and if you put the money somewhere else will that drop and make your loses bigger?
I agree shorting should be banned, it’s a disingenuous play. Also, I think Vodafone should borrow money to buy back some shares as long as they can get interest on the loan lower than the divi return %
Is obviously a load of s***! Sadly, it's looking like a long road back here, if at all. To dump or not to dump, that is the question!
Back down it goes! The Yanks seem to always spoil any early gains. Maybe Vod should drop the US listing?
Guttersnipe is just a character the poster has created .. I suspect .... and probably had a CFD Short or Put Option
I wouldnt take it that he/she is quite as illiterate or daft has this chosen character suggests
Guttersnipe is an excellent name you have chosen, surprising considering how illiterate and uneducated you come across in your continuous NVA postings.
Avocets 321, I is afrade that you is feading the troll...
It's actually looking pretty good so far.
Down only -0.3% since two days of gains
We expecting deals, stake building rns etc merger activity in the sector and with voda - so it's looking good for once -
gutter i thought you don't care because you have nothing to do with vod shares.
but you care deeply i am afraid, and you will get hurt.
you repetitive posts are boring as ****.
you had a rough week didn't you. it will get worse for you.
MILAN, Feb 15 (Reuters) - Telecom Italia's (TIM) competitors have written to the Italian government to voice concerns about the risk that a planned spin-off of the former phone monopoly's network assets reinforces its dominant position in the fixed broadband market, a document showed.
It not lookin goode agane sadley.
Exspeptim a heavy drope tooday.
Posible a 2.5% moove. .
Has anyone anything to discuss about Vodefone it would be helpful and far more interesting .
I Very much doubt they gain more than they lose.
In South Korea a ban resulted in an instant 10% rise of the market. In the case of FTSE, this could be over 20%,
.
Pension fund deficits would be erased instantly by better valuations
All those individuals who don't want shorting don't seem to realise that their pensions and funds use shorting ...so one assumes they are happy about that if their pensions and funds gain from it ?
Banning shorting shares is NOT a good idea....shorting gives the market transparency and there would be less trust in the market without shorting.
As I repeatedly said...
How can anyone borrow money they dont have to buy shares and send prices UP ?.... yet they do and everyone cheers the fact, even if they send prices beyond their true value ... causing GREED
If you can allow that....then you will always be allowed to borrow shares you dont have to send prices DOWN ... when you think the earnings of a company will decline in the near future ..it largely causes FEAR amongst those who do not have enough knowledge about markets ... that is NOT the markets problem but individuals
The market is a TRADING venue based on data that predicts future prospects .... if people can borrow to fuel Bitcoin GREED and speculation then the same has to happen at the other end
Ending shorting is a BAD idea
GutterSnipe. "our time will come" Hopefully your time will come very soon, back to the gutter you moron!! & you think you are so clever? You are a pathetic idiot. Just get a life. Sad or what? But appart from that, another good day today, so lets hope it continues.
Not surprised with the potential takeover price!
Going by Iliad's offer, which was rejected, the sum of parts of Vodafone is at least double the equity value today, after stripping out net debt.
Petty cash to the Magnificent 5.
Microsoft will be interesting.......they already are investing in the IOT business which will be a standalone from 1 April - surprised we have not heard more on that.
