Let's land back on terra firma..
Clearly not 201......but would be nice to see a 401 deal
What with endometriosis being highlighted a little more in the media of late it seems that 201 could offer more potential for a deal due to the positivity of the recent trials.
Yet I won’t believe a deal is done until it is official - VAL’s hope can giveth and then taketh away with in an instant.
Freddy, he says in his next post and I quote “there’s probably no truth in it”
I think we would all agree.
Fredd1eboy,
Early morning trading may be interesting - if I believed a deal was about to be announced I would keep quiet and buy as much as I could reasonably allocate until I felt that the share price got closer to reflecting the intrinsic value that the deal would represent. I would not be advertising the alleged knowledge on a bulletin board unless I had ulterior motives.
Maybe you will get another trading opportunity as we all know money in the kitty is better than money blowing in the wind.
Anyone been looking on ADVFN....rapidly progressing hinting at rumours of a 201 deal... Please don't shoot the messenger.....have a look on the site...dyor
In my normal grump way, I had a bit of a rant at the board earlier. In fairness they replied in a timely fashion, which is always a credit to any business. Nothing more to add in terms of what we know, however I thought it best to share - It does end in a positive tone. Let me know your thoughts:
Vals Response:
Your email and obvious concern as a shareholder about the way ValiRx is able to secure funds, with particular reference to the recent placing, regrettable discount and consequential share price fall, is of considerable regret to the company.
However, ValiRx does need funds to run its trials and business and it is with additional regret that these necessary placings can coincide with vagaries and downturns in general market investment sentiment, all of which are out of ValiRx’s control.
I can assure you that all at the Company continue to strive hard to see ValiRx and all its stakeholders reap the benefit of the successful development of the Company's drug portfolio and we look forward, via RNS, to providing updates on future progress in a timely manner.
Less than 10p a share then ? It’s a start I suppose if it ever happens !
I haven't posted or even checked in here for about 6 months. My shareholding which was originally five figures couldn't even get me a decent night out. I'm past caring and would rather the company put us all out of our misery and folded. Its the hope that kills you...
Whippet, thank you for the positive tone, my spirit was drained today, I just feel a bit done over.
NOG & INDV are starting to turn my frown upside down.
It would be nice if the VAL BoD could stump up some positive news, however they must be a while off yet, unless yesterdays placing was a precaution incase they get bad results. If IMM can also deliver, then that would be dandy. :)
Whippet... I assume you are aware of the SP decimation over the last decade? Even if the drugs are worth billions, VAL shareholders won't see a penny of it. VAL is simply a vehicle for raising funds and keeping this afloat. The directors all receive a salary so don't care about the SP, the bucket shops don't care because they make their crust and move on to the next company desperate for funds. It is all very enticing to think about the big numbers involved in a commercial deal. May I point you in the direction of the Euromillions... The return is higher and your chances are better.
Freddy, my recollections May be wrong, but didn’t George once say previously either “no more placings” (I think it was before news), or “no imminent/immediate plans for a placing”, and within a very short time after saying that had a reasonably large placing ?
If my recollections are correct (with my fading memory with age, it is equally likely to be incorrect) then I am sure you can forgive me for not placing faith in his words in this instance.
I think I will give it a couple of days to mull things over, and see how the market is reacting, before diving in again.
My worst downside is that I currently do not hold as many shares as I did, but I currently still hold about 75-80% of them, so if the sp was to rocket on news prior to me topping back up again I wouldn’t be too perturbed.
Trading range currently 0.12 to 0.14p.....has little reflection on actual trades..hope fully a tick back up a bit closer to opening so....fingers crossed.
Hi whippet....noting you are a new poster and apparently positive , have you been invested long....
Love it when you talk dirty whippet!!!
Hi HH. When several of us met with GM and Satu etc some months ago....I shared my pain with GM direct. He told me there would be another placing.....it was delivered in the context of work to do/ timing...."there will have to be one"....albeit he wasn't too happy having to make that statement.
Well, we've had it, but now against the background of a much lower sp....so that in itself is a worry...
Other posters, please correct me if I'm wrong but everything else stated at the time implied having to wait for news until this last quarter.
I'm guessing they now have funding to take them through until Christmas...so fingers crossed the next RNS may well be better recieved. I live in hope as no other option palatable.
Many thanks nomlungo....I do hope so too!
All the best to you too.
Fredd1eboy,
AIM is not some sort of club even though it seems like it is at times - everybody should be prepared to take ownership of their decisions.
'We only have ourselves' becomes 'It is my own repercussions'. I smiled when I read that you had traded the spike and hope you find more opportunities to profit from.
Are you in the same quandary as myself this time around Freddy ?
After numerous similar previous incidents we correctly read this one correctly in this instance, and we locked in some profit from this particular rise through cashing in some of our chips.
The quandary now is, given we could buy back in now for significantly more shares than we recently divested ourselves of, do we buy back in now, or do we hold off for fear of another placing prior to sp accretive news (such as 401 partnering news, or positive 201 results).
The news that we were previously anticipating has not changed, so therefore FOMO would indicate that I buy back now whilst the sp is still below the recent placing price, whereas the complete loss in faith regarding the BoD’s business/commercial acumen (not a reflection on any positivity we may have in the products) has me currently swithering about doing so now for credible concerns (based on previous history) of them attempting yet another placing prior to news and before the sp drops below it’s currently nominal value.
I guess a couple of quite days reasoned contemplation is required prior to me arriving at a conclusion.
Of course it wasn't a normal one special and I hope Jason pays for misleading people.....but we were warned...he has b'all followers...but several were making him sound like a genuine tipster. All smoke and mirrors....but we all knew a placing was on the cards at some time soon...Inthe past, bwhen the sp rose, I held....not this time....had been burnt too many times before..
Which is why we shouldn't be so quick to blame ourselves. That was not a normal P&D. Something wasn't right, lets see what happens.
I've alwatsvtried to provide factual information and give an opinion based on facts, isn't that what these sites are for.
By the way you have no idea how much I'm down, Im too embarrassed to even share.
Yesterdays events gave me the opportunity to salvage a small % of my losses...I'll leave it there.
In the meantime....l'm still hoping for some decent news coming forth in the not too distant future as I await trials/partnering updates....If nothing comes out of it....I'm shafted....if it does come good I've averaged down enough to hopefully see my money back....but I won't hold my breath as it's damage limitation for me.
Well said year1970 with regards to Fred. Not so long ago he was pure pro the team the co etc and now its all about trading and giving us all advice and we have no one to blame but ourselves. Most of us are locked in years ago and unfortunately already used our funds to average down on the best ever time to get in...….I find Special666 a breath of fresh air. Was buzzing about the co but as soon as they placed holds his hands up and says lets see how it goes. No waffle, no telling everyone he made a mythical fortune etc etc
Fredd1eboy, you are changing your opinion like changing a t-shirt and now great you made some profit, if I were you then I would keep quiet. Pump the hell out of this share and now you think it is great and don't sell.
I told many times on here and even last week, don't take any comment from people on twitter, they know no more than people on here know. Still, people keep falling for the same trap...
We'll see who is to blame soon.
...to blame....
I warned you all about Jason Pugh.... something like 16 followers on Twitter and some prat even commented that Jason had his reputation at stake....it was sheer madness to buy on this word....we have to blame ourselves
I sold between 0.22 and 0.26 and reinvested yesterday at around me 0.143p.....thought I timed right but proven wrong today...whose to blame.....me!
Why not accept where each of us currently stands and look to the future. ...don't play into the hands of derampers as, provoking fear, they want to drive the sp down further. I'm guessing we have news due....I'm guessing another month to go but who knows....in the meantime watch for opportunities to capitalise.....well thats my strategy. But DYOR. Best wishes. Fred
