"Tellurian are praying that they can pull off the infra project at Driftwood terminal"
Yeah - and that's a USD 28,000,000,000 project that many industry observers believe will fly (see Gaffney Cline etc) and which Total and others have backed over the last few years.
I'm sure the BoD of Tellurian wake up every morning to log onto LSE and see how their shares in UKOG are doing and issue directives to go and sell another 100,000 to raise 1200 dollars..........
I cant remember which of the boards I found Paul Knott's Ouch on but I found it a phenomenal read.
Seadoc
Thanks I have added it to my reading list.
I have managed to average down to 1.37 (which is about the same as YA's maximum conversion rate) I think long term the SP will far in excess of what it is now. There will be spikes which I am not clever enough to sell at and then buy back lower so I will hold for long term growth.
Strangely when I go to the races part of the fun I get is getting the odds at the right price and getting better odds than the SP (Starting Price). Even when the horse/dog doesnt win I feel as though I have beaten the bookies.
Tellurian forward sold before the deal, hence no TR1 on their 275m shares. What they have done since is anyones guess. I presume that they are selling as and when they need to.
I am not sure if YA's limit of £3m per quarter rolls forward or not. If it doesnt roll forward any sells are probably them clearing the shares before the next quarter starts on the 16th of this month.
Hopefully Tellurian are out or nearly out and YA are restricted to £3m as £3m sells isnt going to dampen the SP much if the CPR is good.
That said I am not looking to sell on a good CPR, my investment is here for at least the next two years with all the various ups and downs that will bring.
I agree penguins. If some one is forced to sell "big time" the it is a great time to buy with "most likely " good news on the horizon.
As far as ev vehicles are concerned, that is a very interesting point about vehicles identifying them selves to the network in order to tax. On a broader point there are economies who will constantly deny climate change in order to gain massive economic and industrial advantage whilst the "enlightened" countries add large percentages to their production an transport costs. I honestly understand Trumps position in this regard.
PCS,
I agree Tellurian will be getting shot of the shares ASAP - someone else other than YA is selling big time. If they were well funded and wanted to stay in they wouldn't have swapped their equity for UKOG shares to keep.
As for EV - will be difficult but technology (eg each car could identify itself to the network and how much power was taken so car charging could be taxed differently) will have some answers to the problems you cite - but you're right about taxes, ultimately control will be through price - so it won't be cheaper to drive petrol or diesel - and it won't be cheap to drive electric.
Agreed, Mirasol.
Tellurian have a prominent management team and are undertaking a big, long-term project for which they are being backed.
Agree 100%. Leads me to believe that Tellurian have also been selling heavily. By end of the year we will be well over half the debt cleared and with good flow results this will turn quickly IMO
fjones,
previous loan conversions and then sale of shares (ie not this £5.5mm) have followed a pattern of a final trade that ended with the odd shares. This was often just before the conversion was announced.
The recent conversions seem to have followed the same pattern:
7 November conversion 15,247,001
6 November 16:41 Trade 247,001
Then 3 trades 7 November just before 9am 3,147,001
9 October conversion 16,346,992
8 October 3 trades just before 15:30pm Trade 1,946,992
27 September conversion 37,362,227
27 September 15:08 Trade 2,662,227
16 September conversion 60,926,076
11 September 15:12 Trade 35,926,076
coincidence?
My view is that any conversion has already been at least mostly, if not completely sold by the time it's announced - how that fits with the no short position I have no idea.
Tellurian are backed by Total - they put something like USD 500 million in earlier this year - they ain't going bust and they don't need the UKOG money...................
They're a long term strategic bet on the US LNG export business
Not sure how it works with this YA but someone mentioned that they tend to be responsible for putting threw a transaction at close of play and from 11th there has been £182k of selling, does that mean they are now completed on that part of it or is there others selling as well, has anyone emailed anyone to see if Tellurian Investments been drawing funds down still ???
Seems to be a change in patterns and could be a positive signs going forward, lets hope anyway GLA !!!!
