Des,
Yes but any investment nowadays might drive one to drink, don't you think!!
I'm mostly out of aim at the minute as that sector will be the last to recover apart from the odd one or two stocks, mostly on any good news up the sp goes, then after the initial flurry, back down it goes. A traders market if you will at the moment, although plenty of larger more stable stocks are much easier to trade at the moment, and safer in the long term.
Good luck with your choices.
Mr T
Maybe you should stop drinking.
My last post aimed at Destitute, typo error, too much ale!!
Night
Mr T
Despite
You are funny!
Do yourself a favour, re read your post 15 May this year, yes barely a month ago. Go on read it. Then read all of the garbage you have posted on this board following that post!!
Takes some believing son I have to say. How do you come up with all that bull**** day in day out??
Also silver up 60% from February lows and yet son, your post in May talked about the demise of UFO. You cant get your breath reading this absolute and utter drivel in fact I think you must be on something man! to come up with this nonsense. Are you a member of the Government? They talk Betty's all day every day as well.
Mr T
5m buy at full ask earlier, maybe this will be enough to get the price moving up?
No doubt he will talk about the giant silver nugget yet again "yawn".. I think Higher metal prices will help Alien.. but not much until we get a proper resource estimate. just a waiting game.. not sure how long.. probably 6 months maybe more ?
Stretch,
Thats all well and good, but Alien does not have any revenue, so I can't quite work out why their profits would be up!! Question, do you think a company has to have Sales before it can generate a profit?
rising metal prices would be relevant to a Trading company yes, but to a prospecting company not really, certainly not in the long term.
Alien is way overdue a re-rate? on what evidence ? why would there be a re-rate when nothing much over the past few months has changed? I can understand many stocks currently that will and should be re-rated and are currently in that process, but Alien is not due a re-rate, and there will not be one in the near term unless you have some insider information!!!
I see Bill's presenting some investor webinar, that should take all of 2 minutes, but he will of course revisit old ground as nothing new has happened recently.
Mr T
Mr T , profit =revenue-costs. Ag price up , revenue up, more profit $$ assuming cost to mine fairly static.
Rising metal price is very relevant to junior miners particularly open pit.
Iron ore up, silver up, UFO is way overdue a re rate.
Stretch
Why is silver flying of any concern to UFO which isn't?
UFO doesn't have any silver to sell currently therefore I cant understand why it flying would be any consequence to UFO. Could you enlighten me please.
As I said previously nothing will happen here for a few months until Bill can get back in the air. Then and only then will news appear, followed by a placing I suspect. I would put you hard earned in some decent stocks hammered down in March and now recovering significantly. You can always return to UFO at a later stage, I'm sure you won't miss anything.
Mr T
Just some patience required. Silver flying.
The spread seems to have opened up significantly. MMs clearly not making enough money given the lack of volume over the last few days so have widened it, won't do anything to help the volume here until we see news.
The 2 grand sale dragged it down presumably a nt sell. I smell news given strange price action
Last two trades very bizarre. Well outside the normal trading range at each end, got to be some MM shenanigans going on here.
Silver flying. Surely its about time this had the re rate it deserves.
Prospector
Nothing at all apart from deducting the associated costs with all of those placing which will have been significant. Also some cash was exchanged for one acquisition in December. It also makes the point of how quickly Alien have munched through nearly £2 million quid in 12 months!!
Yes they have more assets now but none producing and no JV partners to speak of?
Bu the way your assumption of "nothing spent" against the latter raises is not true. Monthly outgoings will be quite high with aim listed companies even in lockdown, tears why the panic rise was done at the ridiculously low price of .08p.
Still worth a pint though having said all of that but very risky
Mr T
Mr Triumph,
OK, let's go back and start at May 2019 then:
14/05/2019 - raised 300,000 - spent on exploration
28/06/2019 - raised 350,000 - spent on exploration
30/09/2019 - balance 400,000 - Interim results
25/02/2020 - raised 700,000 - Very little spent
11/05/2010 - raised 275,000 - Very little spent
have I missed any anything?
Prospector,
Why would you build a "war" chest at such discounted prices!! I'm afraid that does not make sense.
Yes I know they raised £700K in February, don't forget all these raises come with costs, therefore that £700K would be £625K and the £275K around £250K, and doesn't it make you wonder where the £625K disappeared to in the space of a couple months!!!!
That is why more cash will be required shortly, watch for a spike in volume and price to around .12-14p and the a placing around .10p ish, that will lead to yet more warrants and dilution for current holders!!!
Keep watching!!
Mr T
But all they have been doing since the lockdown is sitting at home and compiling data, with barely any travel expenses. They raised 700k in Feb + another 275k last month. I think the CEO has been building a little war chest in readiness for the big push on exploration. I might be wrong, but that's the way I see the situation currently.
Usual trading for sure. Signally a significant rise to come. Top up guys.
Prospector,
I think the JVA you refer to at Hammersley is fairly limited and as Alien has more or less taken on the management of the project I think you will almost certainly find that Alien will need to find the cash to move the project forward. The purchase of the project was mainly share based and therefore there is not a lot of cash sloshing about to move the project forward.
You are correct Alien is no longer a one trick pony, however, they have many projects acquired via share deals but no current way of moving any of them forward without a substantial cash injection or JV agreement with a major player.
I also doubt whether the cash will be enough, as I said the last placing was panic stations to keep the lights on during the lockdown. Trouble is that will have gone by the time Bill gets his boots back on the ground, therefore another cash raise will be required. I would have been happier if they had done one major raise months ago to raise £2M plus instead of small placings every two months at lower and lower prices!!!
I'm still watching and may dip my toe back in at some stage but need some updates and volumes to appear.
Mr T
MrTriumph, you are right that more needs to be done to demonstrate the value of doing a JV on the silver projects or the Donovan2 copper / gold project. However, UFO are not a one trick pony now. We already have a JV on the Hamersley projects and look what's happening to the iron ore price - here, we need to find a decent ore body extension from adjoining licenses, and if we do it's a game changer. The cash held currently is enough to put in a few holes here and there, but this is very early in the development of the company - just like GGP many years ago, which also had no volume in the market. As I often say, to make big money you have to be contrarian and buy when nobody else is buying, then wait. All you can do at this stage is do research and invest in people and projects you believe in. There's absolutely no point fretting over liquidity, spreads, or short term movements at this stage.
£750K plus I meant to say!!
Stretchum,
I see very little sp action to indicate any rise at the minute. The sp has drifted to an all time low of .075, picked up a little to where it is now, still well below the level which it should be at imo. However volumes are almost non existent here at the moment, a piddly few shares are traded on a daily basis, to see any momentum upwards I would be looking for volumes in excess of 50M per day, that won't happen without any substantial news or updates, which I can't see coming for several weeks if not months!
Therefore I think the current postings regarding overhangs, big sells, big buys, price action etc are all absolute rubbish. Nothing is happening here, 8 trades today so far tell the story, and that has been much the same since the last cash raise.
My fear is that another raise will be coming in the next month or so, if that is substantial i.e. £7560K plus at a decent level then there could be some interest until then I fear this will just tread water.
Keep watching though and buy at these levels if you must, don't expect any significant rises though shortly, it will be a long wait to see significant gains here.
Just my thoughts.
Mr T
Nice summary Mr T, you gotta admit sp action is looking very good for a decent rise. BUY some
I see this board has turned into a veritable bullish free for all, on what basis I fail to understand. As a former long term holder I know quite a bit about this company and the man running the show BBG. Fact number one is that Bill travels back and forth between the UK, Australia and Mexico and each visit is usually followed by an update. The updates in Mexico have been along the same lines for many months, still looking for a JV partner.
UFO have completed several interesting acquisitions recently in Australia, but and this is crucial point, they have still not earned any revenues from any of them. I did expect the Ore mine to be a producer fairly quickly but that did not happen. The problem here is cash, they have multiple projects all could be very interesting and could attract a JV, but crucially UFO is a miniscule aim tiddler with little or no cash to be able to move these projects forward. It has always been the case particularly in Mexico that there are large players in the surrounding areas where UFO owns land with potential to mine, however nothing has come to fruition up to now, why would it??? UFO have to fully verify what is has which takes time and money, lots of it, and even then "the so called big player" could still not be interested unless the findings are substantial enough for them to be the slightest bit interested.
UFO have spent the past 12 months raising cash in the market and expanding the shares in issue but have made little or no progress other than to add capital projects to it's portfolio, with absolutely no possibility of being to move many of them forward without a substantial cash raise or a JV!!! Looking at the latest raise a piddly £275K that looked to me as desperate to keep the lights on through the current crisis. The placing price of .08p was also pitiful and was a show of desperation for cash, the previous raises had all been .14p which demonstrated some support in the sp by the market.
I will say however that if the company does not need a further raise once the crisis is passed and Bill can get back on a plane to both Mexico and Australia then one of the projects may hit the jackpot, risk V reward like all small mining or exploration stocks on aim. I am currently watching from the side-lines as I may get back in at some stage, but not at the moment as I see little progress or momentum here for a few months.
Good luck.
Mr T
