Not many on this board want to sell…but there’s not many that want to buy more. Unless you have a serious investor that is happy to keep accumulating at a price they’re happy with, the sellers are always going to dominate. PPA in place. Finance in place. TG give the market your plan. Please.
Don’t get the SP reaction. HZM was the same when they got funding….price went backwards!
Maybe it’s because we haven’t yet got the other 5million!
Hopefully the bod give shareholders a detailed plan of what happens next in the next week or so!
Hell we might even find out what the flow rates are!!!!
Totally bizarre SP reaction to what has to be really good news and certainly not what I expected. We have a perfect partner with low interest rate, the fact that the pension fund are already heavily invested would suggest to me that they are unlikely to convert any of the loan at a low price, they'll be undermining their own investment if they do. I think this is one of those situations where the SP immediately declines after good expected news and then steadily grows as more long term investors get on board.
BS
Seems to be a lot of dodgy stuff going on in the whole stock market.
I’m following (not invested though) companies where the SP is clearly being manipulated. SP’s consistently dropping on sales of single figure shares. Buys showing as sells. I think it was Whizzer that asked where has all the trade gone.
I think part of the drop in trades is because our stock market is so corrupt investors have stopped or reduced trading. Just think how much an investor could have lost if they had invested in any of the following. Easyjet, Go Ahead Group, Flutter Entertainment, Kanabo Group, Vela, SYME, Xeros Technology, Cornerstone FS and the list goes on.
The market is designed to transfer money from the PI to the institutions by way of keeping Sp’s low over a considerable period of time knowing PI’s will sell and they get the shares on the cheap. It is corrupt in so many ways, to many to list.
I know if Tlou gets to 20p that’s me done with stocks. The odds are well and truly loaded against the PI’s.
Both my top ups yesterday went through as SELLS in the trades section, Was that responsible for the lack of feverish buying? Most of yesterday's trade were actually buys, but ADVFN reported them as sells as well.
What they know, Jackal , imho , is that today's and tomorrows sp is immaterial.
I have said this for so long - nearly as long as Moagi has been saying the opposite.
Nobody has expected TG to fail - it is just a matter of time , and that applies to the share price too!!!!
Must admit to being extremely surprised by the price yesterday and today , I'm back below the custodial charge threshold level. So it looks as if I have to add three December trades to keep frquent trader with new money rather than jiggery pokery on my options!
Totally agree with both of you. 100% the pension fund would not have invested based on speculation and yet they did but…..they wouldn’t have invested in what the market has been told….as is evidenced by the share price.
Do they know something we don’t?
The name Lesedi was firmly linked to yesterday's funding.
I asked, with no response , whether Synergen might be able to set up at Selemo?
The subject of Hydrogen has gone deafeningly quiet , but it is still (hopefully) part of the plan.
Extending Selemo , and maybe paying royalties on new gas , or diverting the gas being used for on-site electricity to Synergen, and going back to diesel for on-site power for the duration of Synergen's trial (if we get that far) looks better than opening up Mamba or Boomslang!
Of course the pension fund might support Hydrogen and I that was the catalyst for the timing of their funding. In which case, Mudda Fadda kindly disregard this letter!
Jackal, I don't think the pension fund's investment in TLOU is based on speculation.
I think pension funds usually do the opposite, and go for Blue Chips which are obviously established and paying dividends , plus offering opportunities to profit from loaning shares to the shorts-market.
Botswana have been incredibly brave in TLOU's case but have never waivered in their belief in the TLOU team. And why would they? TG has never failed in the CBM industry , has had to endure years of unexpected hindrances in Botswana that would have put many companies under but TLOU has remained solvent despite having no income, ever!!!
Can anyone remember a post on here saying the poster was worried about TLOU folding?
I cannot, and there have been some real plonkers on here!
The worry has always been how long it was taking not the final outcome!
I'm still waiting to hear about progress from Danny Horne. I am wondering if he has been instrumental in getting a tune out of the pension fund! If so his presence in Botswana has hopefully been invaluable in more than one way.
I am hoping he had good news for them on gas flows, and we'll hear that one day.
All imho of course
100% agree Jackal let’s see the plan. All about improving those gas flows ASAP for me. They must have idea that they are commercial otherwise the Pension Fund would not have provided the cash.only then will we see the re-rate here in my opinion. However happy with recent progress and genuinely think that within next 2 to 3 years this will be a $250 million company. Fingers crossed ??
I find myself agreeing more and more with Moagi here. Hyping share price up on speculation is absurd. Now we got the money, tell us the plan!! How’s it going to be converted into shareholder value, in what timeframe, what are the expected results, etc, etc. The pension fund must have been given some guidance otherwise they wouldn’t have committed. If it’s good enough for them then why not the rest of us. We have stuck by a long time. To get long term holders to invest you need to put out more than hype. What’s the plan??
"Bradley, check back to what I was saying long time back….. Tlou needed a PPA and then the funding in order to deliver the PPA. " from Moagi
I'm fully aware of what you and quite a few others thought! Now it is my turn to point at the sp and ask if you are all right?
TG has never been as anxious to get any old funding - he stuck out for what he wanted and I reckon he now has it. Further talks about post 1st July confirms the sort of partner he wanted.
TG might not be a God, but Pontius Pilate would not have found a fault with him!
ASX has moved into the 6c ( range 6c-7c) last trade @ 6.6c after half an hour of ever increasing small rises. 8c is still possible by morning! Good day today .
Share prices are funny things. The laws of supply and demand rule. Until you clean out the supply side of the punters and get larger investors in there for the bigger picture, the price is always going to wane. Needs the support of solid investors happy to prop up the price which we haven’t seen yet.
Warren Buffett always hated the financial sector. Thought it was overpriced. Then the GFC hit and all of a sudden prices were attractive and he bought a big chunk of Goldman Sachs which he has done exceptionally well with. To this day he still owns the shares he wasn’t forced to sell back to the company.
COVID or GFC there is always one crisis or another. What we need is a Warren Buffett.
Sure Jackal, it is easier to find the £ key and it does not need qualifiers like the $ does.
Point taken though.
The equity agreement after 1st July , and TG saying today is all about CBM electricity , looks to me as if the July or later date might be geared to the Hydrogen project.
We will find out soon enough if today's funds are available for Hydrogen I hope.
Any prediction on whether ASX passes 8c option price tonight?
I reckon so, and then I'll wonder if we'll reach the 4.4p on LSE tomorrow?
I reckon not. I bought in November, today, so no frequent trader points!!!
I planned to sell a few tomorrow and buy some options when the price exceeds 4.4p by enough!
What a privilege to have a fixed price? I liked the idea from the start. Mice and men will screw my plans.
Brad it is USD5m not GBP5m. Irrespective it’s great news.
Be good to get some clarity over when they expect to commence work, how long it is expected to take to start producing the 10mw and when we do, what the expected profit is likely to look like.
Bradley, check back to what I was saying long time back….. Tlou needed a PPA and then the funding in order to deliver the PPA.
And today … here we are …. finally the news needed to start the party.
Everything up to now has just been a little bit fun and games….. We still got 3 months probably before contracts awarded, teams mobilised, any final Environmentals in place, land rights secured, ….lots of little tedious details you take for granted but those tasked with delivery of process are going to have to spend a chunk of time on.
Yes, we will get spoon fed lots of promising sounding progress reports, interviews, presentation decks and the like. Morris and mates will tell us amazing things ahead….
Reality - the project might well be shovel ready and no problem they can get some boots on the ground quite soon. This is, always has been a POC for power generation into the grid - by when ??
Well I'm hoping that there is a polished, fully cost loaded and aggressive TL Scope project plan that has been produced.
I'm also hoping it's been put through a risk model and has some incentivised milestones attached. I also hope there is a risk register, all the long lead items identified with quotes recieved.
As mrmoagi has rightly said the clock is ticking and we have finally taken control, now it's time to deliver.
The answer is Yes or No!
Whichever it is , I will have known which it was, after the event!
That is how you work isn't it?
https://www.acronymfinder.com/FID.html
How many of the 58 did you know , transworld airlines?
And tell me what is a 360 account without looking it up!
I'm not saying it is a financial term, but it might be, I know!
I doubt you are right , as usual!
If Synergen are successful in Brisbane, and Botswana is able to take their prototype - will TLOU press on with Hydrogen? I think the answer is obvious , talking in riddles as you do!
But as I said earlier, the money is in the bank (literally or not) , but so what???
I'm expecting a deposit for the poles and wires to be paid - without touching today's funding!
From there, Covid will determine whether they are erected , in common with the prototype a bit later.
The substation and generator(s) might need a deposit (or payment in full) too but are they short term objectives if Hydrogen looms??????
Smith - for someone that doesn’t know what FID means in terms of project finance, do you really expect anyone here with an appreciation of capital markets, PE /VC, project finance lending and associated terms actually is going to be inspired by anything you have to add on this ?!
It is a 5 year Note. There is a high probability Tlou want he share price to perform so that it is converted to equity. At a nice big price well above where we are today. What needs to happen from here to then for that to happen?
Bear in mind, Tlou plan to spend this money to ‘connect to the grid’. That is essential. After that - are they going to be immediately injecting 2MW or 5 or 10 or what?
You figure it out for yourself man!
The great news about today is - No More Excuses are going to be acceptable, which is fine. But the management team have 3-6 months from here to demonstrate all the noise for past 10 years is a darned sight more than noise !!
You always thought I was reactionary and using the benefit of hindsight ……. Well doesn’t that just confirm How Stupid You Have Been All Along xxxx
I don't get it!
We had £2.6M and now we have £7.6M ..... so what??????
Unless we spend it and get good value in return?
The important thing is the interest rate and holiday period!
i.e. Are we going to have difficulty paying it off?
Having a credit card with a credit limit of £100,000 is no problem until you use that credit!
Not quite the same as our funding, but it explains how I am thinking of this funding.
The main difference is the credit limit here is deemed to be owed from the official start day.
I see Convertibles Notes are not usually repaid at maturity for start-ups - it could cripple many companies which would make the shares unexciting for the funder!
"For the company, there are a couple of reasons why it is not ideal to convert convertible notes at the maturity date:
As convertible notes are often used as a form of seed financing, it is highly unlikely that the company will be in a position to issue stock in such a short time frame. If they rush the issuance of shares, the stock will likely be worth little and could hamper the development of the company.
If all convertible notes had to be repaid upon maturity, it could very well bankrupt the company. The reason it issued debt in the first place was to increase cash on hand for business development, so having to turn right around and pay it back, plus interest, would largely defeat the purpose of issuing notes in the first place.
From the investor’s perspective, it is also less-than-ideal to get paid back upon the maturity of the convertible note. As mentioned, the low coupon rate is not overly enticing for investors who see the opportunity to be an early investor in a company that could potentially increase their initial investment ten times over, at a minimum."
Whizz, if this ‘dog’ doesn’t actually rerate from here we are ALL going to look like a proper bunch of Charlie’s.
If it requires a concerted PR campaign on Proactive and Twitter etc, and there is no real strength behind any rerate - what then ??!!
Let’s hope the company come out with a detailed work plan now and hopefully work kicks off in the not so distant future!
