Causing mayhem....
The mine will be built eventually so the workers have little to worry about imho.
I’m voting no. Not because I expect to get rich. I have relegated my remaining SXX shares to the bin so they are worthless. Or I could take the £8.5k but that isn’t enough to change my life.
Popped a few quid in AAL. (Edging my bets).
OR
You had a bayonet, but that hair.
Bucky was that you in P Coy?
calamari
Are you suggesting that 85, 000 Pis only need to hold onto 1 vote each to turn this over ??
That is very naughty ?? Please can you please tell all here what you real reason for being here is ????
ffc
John
I'm not in charge of the rules but I think you may well have 2,000 votes there But happy to be corrected nearer the time !
Once the voting date and details are published I'll seek advice from that point ..
ffc
I have 1000 in an ISA and 1000 in a stocks and shares account both with HL which I believe entitles me to 2 votes.
I will be asking HL to register a no vote on my behalf for both accounts.
Guys we haven't even got a date for a vote yet so no need to worry about what vote counts for what tbh just hold tight to your shares then at least the power is in your hands ,,,.
I'm encouraged if it's true that PIs hold 50% !!!
Hopefully we will have a better idea as to the implications to a yes or no vote <<<
Keep digging please sharesoc !
Chesh ,welcome aboard
ffc
If you sell, keep one share to still get a vote.
OR
If CF has a court case that vote would be a YES send him down
That was also the issue, they couldn't understand why there would be TWO
so is someone pulling a fast one, or not delivered the RNS correctly
depends whose counting the votes up trump and johnson so it will be rigged :)
Barclays seem to think that the vote it per share and it the customers name in all circumstances, no need to transfer share names
They will not be adding a voting button to the site, so you would have to call/chat them to cast the vote
FFC it’s not over till ‘a deal’ is done. Till that point we can only speculate and openly debate :-)
Im emotionally ok , thank you .if i end up with £0 ill survive thanks for your concern
Given the debate going on around the voting it may be worth getting sharesoc to confirm? I assume they have some expertise to provide a definitive answer and clarification.
fcc....... got me sharesoc memberships this morning..............!
I'm sat in the poor seats ATM, but £45 isn't out of reach............. :)
I'd've paid a dog watcher that as I had a pint for instance .............. :()
All the best (see you soon, GLA :)
Tex
Tbh I’m glad of the delay as it’s certainly not straightforward is it ?
I’m so pleased that sharesoc are involved because we may well be better off with any information they can get out of Sirius???
Your first thoughts may well be pertinent but I think it’s not over yet ?

“ You could even transfer some into your name, one into your partner's name, neighbours, friends, etc.”
This has been done before and the court rejected this.

Calamari - bear in mind with a scheme of arrangement a nominee account is classed as a single shareholder. So Barclays nominees for example has 1 vote at the court meeting, not that each shareholder in Barclays nominees have 1 vote.
Also with Barclays - 1 vote per share, shares held under hold your shares under a Barclays Nominee account name, but if I vote NO that will be NO
Probably just me FFC I wasn’t clear on the two votes and definitely wasn’t clear on the voting nuisances which could lead to some interesting scenarios.
Definitely changes my perspective on the likelihood of a no vote..... question still remains what will happen if this is the outcome.
“ Barclays say votes will be offered to shareholders . I.e 1 vote per account. ISA equals 1 vote . Smart investor equals 1 vote.so I have 2 votes”
No, one vote per share
Ii do not vote emotionally , no need to when its not your money
the bid/ask price is telling you the situation .it's 98% done
Barclays say votes will be offered to shareholders . I.e 1 vote per account. ISA equals 1 vote . Smart investor equals 1 vote.so I have 2 votes
