Thanks Hairy. It probably won't be on SOU though.
Even I'm not foolhardy enough to dabble in crypto ;-)
PS. Perhaps you should try crypto trading like me. Only 40% down so far, which is a result considering my investment here ;-)
Not to worry StMary. I have a stack more to lose on PVR which is pretty ropy as well ;-)
Not quite as ropy as SOU though. I do genuinely hope SOU pulls through for the people who are still hanging on (me among them). But as they've told us themselves, it's depending on Phase 2 before it's worth more than a brass farthing.
That certainly is a hell of a loss and I think others here have lost even more, with a few members passing away along the journey. I`ve been with this for 10 years now but I think GL will do his best to get this back for us all at some level, not pounds but pence. GLA and let`s hope the new team can turn this around, before more Share holders pass away.
If I’d lost that much I wouldn’t be soberly doing anything. I’d be divorced and drunkenly doing everything. You have my sympathy
That puts things in a perspective, PS. I am sorry to hear about the extend of your losses and have more understanding of your ceaseless posting. I too got carried away to an exposure way beyind the comfort zone based on a logic that sensible things would happen. A prize is there but it will take time, others who want to grab it and the tax issue that may spoil it all.
PS - thats some serious money wow. I cannot imagine that myself
(And yeah, I realise how stupid that is, before anyone feels compelled to point it out. Hence, my newfound interest in soberly evaluating SOU's *actual* prospects and not some ramper's wild imaginings).
StMary, no I have an actual *realised* loss of well over 600k (which will eventually be closer to 700k if SOU goes completely belly up).
I haven't invested anything like that sort of number. I do, however, remeber people selling property porfolios or cashing their entire pension pots, to invest in here. Crazy stuff.
I did...........
PS. Have you really ‘lost’ about £300k? I’m surprised anyone would put this much money into a share (even a blue chip dividend payer) or do you mean that the value of your SOU investment was once £300k, so you are referring to a paper loss?
Yeah Indeep, that's my sense too -- it will drag on for a very long time. I'm still invested here also, so will be keeping an eye. No chance of it making much of a material impact in my case (I've lost about three times as much as you by my rough calculation) but could still benefit a sibling if it comes good.
Cheers PS. I did see that, made me laugh. Like I said I still have part of my pension in here so I’ll be keeping an eye on things but I’ve convinced myself that this will drag on and on….. GLA, hope things turn out for the best
STD123: "Good luck indeep just don't to a PS and throw your money into something that will half in the next few weeks."
Still making up those fairy tales. Of course, STD123 is the one whose investment halved in a matter of weeks. He had a chance to get out at breakeven and decided to wait for it to double. What a joker.
Best of luck Indeep -- sorry for what sounds like very substantial losses; as you can imagine, I completely empathise. (I see one fine poster has already turned on you as a "moaning investor". That's par for the course here unfortunately. The moment you take off the rose-tinted spectacles there's a howling mob with pitchforks who can't bear to hear any word of dissent).
Haha…. Welll here’s hoping :)
Good luck indeep just don't to a PS and throw your money into something that will half in the next few weeks.
Cheers tincan and ericnat. Good luck!!
one less moaning investor to read on this board. cheerio
Good luck indeep. Only time will tell if you are right.
I think SLB got a good deal out of sound. Nothing more to pay towards any of the development but are guaranteed 11% of the profits. Not bad if you can get a deal like that. And they get their cut if we sell the assets.
Good luck Indeep71, I concur the ride has been awful so far , but I think the new team are more honest & reliable , so I’m staying & praying for pence not a pound as that’s long gone in someone’s greasy pocket !!! Gla
Sold up today, 3.5M shares and moved to something less volatile, crypto currency, yes crypto!!! XRP to be precise using the mobile app Revolut, good chance that'll sink too but this lemon is going nowhere fast and will take years and years to get to my bail out of 9p.... that's if it ever would get there, every chance this will be taken from us. I still have part of my pension in here but that's worthless now, how to turn 100k into 3..... :/ Anyways, having been here since 2017 I'm over it. Good luck all. Its been ****e!!
