Nice to see SOLG slowly going back up, from the 8p range
DBW, true but I've never seen that happen before ever. Normally when a CEO is voted out at an AGM he walks. That said, he could just drop down to being an operational man etc which lets face it... that's all he is or was really.
He's not CEO material that's for sure.
All he needs to do is deliver something to shareholders that justifies their vote for him and the $70m+ he's chucked down the toilet.
Unless he's won over BHP, I think he's toast. But still time to win some shareholders over who have been utterly disappointed with the business and mothballing of exploration for almost 18months now.
We are either an Explorer or a developer... not both.
If he announces a spin off of exploration folio and new shares in that etc etc and then leave ENSA as it is... I'll vote for him. That's proper management in action. Allows entire set of new investors in... allows exploration to flow. Allows this interested in ENSA to have confidence that the wider business is not a drain on resources.
Not hard is it?
All very true Red

Following the AGM, the LSE- and TSX-listed company’s board will be reconstituted and a new chairperson and board committee memberships will the appointed.
SolGold has nominated Adrian (Steve) van Barneveld as nonexecutive director. Van Barneveld currently serves as a general manager at a leading provider of minerals processing and associated infrastructure solutions to the global resources industry.
“Following AGM, we believe it’s the right moment for us to step aside, confident in SolGold’s ability to further advance Cascabel and the ongoing strategic review on parallel paths,” comment Twigger and Clare in a joint statement.
SolGold is in discussions with several groups interested in the Cascabel copper project, in Ecuador. The firm reported last month that it had more than 20 active confidentiality agreements in place.
As we drift along in the 9s and need to get beyond 10.5, there are IMO a few things that could spike the price...
When we look at GGP, it slumbered for 14 months between 6 and 9 but 'broke out' in late October...the only discernible reason I can detect is the positive comments about Newmont's involvement, post the Newcrest takeover.
So why hasn't Scott come out and made similar noises about Newmont's 10% involvement in SOLG/Cascabel?
It may be that they are about to seek a seat on the Board that Newcrest relinquished in a fit of pique, despite Craig Jones wanting to stay on. Newmont have no right to a seat but surely the SOLG Board would not demur...? And what about BHP...?
So what could spike the price?
Obviously a J/V announcement for Cascabel would light a rocket but given Scott's determination to broker a sale and his statement "we are not a mine builder", that seems unlikely.
A new stake by another major, or an increased stake for any one of the 'Big Three' would do it...
Obviously a bid(s) or even "the Board has received an approach which may lead to a bid..." would IMO push us up towards 30p or beyond...
Failing these, any tangible piece of good news, such as PFS3 would help,...
Ot indeed a furtther streaming deal that secured our cash position indefinitely would put shareholders minds at rest and might just flush out a bid...
A major breakout in any or all of Gold, Copper or Junior Miners would surely lead to shorts closing and FOMO buying...
But for the time being, with Berry Street gone and the bulk of the shares firmly held by major shareholders and institutions, surely we need at the very least steady buying that pushes the SP through resistance levels and towards 14p where we started before the Berry Street liquidation...that might create FOMO or get people like the Colonel and Jerry off the fence...
In the meantime, with Scott simply not understanding the importance of regularly engaging with shareholders, as opposed to stripping the company down to the bare bones (which is surely a naked strategy to toiugh things out until the inevitable bid emerges), we remain in the thrall of the Autobots....
So when will we see the 'Rise of the Autobots...'?
Fort if Scott was voted off the board he can stay on as CEO so no need to pack any bags
If it’s all standard stuff we are in for a rough time sp wise until news lands. Here hoping that there is something substantial to get or teeth into. But hope is all it is😟
Due this week... so should see what resolutions are being presented and what if any command a 'special meeting'.
Tick tock Scott... get your bags packed ready.
Banana...oops!
I worked with Bana Tune on the first draft of his autobiography...we went to Clydeside and his first home..overcrowded...
But we then went to a CoC meeting he was speaking at...the women all swarmed round him...yuk!
Been busy on other boards these days as I see the great big green galah is still creating green boxes. Shame I see lots of replies to it. Just filter the sad galah. Life is better. What a sad life.
He'll always be Banana Tune to me now.
At least I went to school heh NAL:)
Sodding phone
Bannatyne
Sean…banana tune used to live very near me, his wife took him for £80m On a divorce. I’d do her for the cash lol
He was a miserably little scotch t.wat. Any relation?
An illiterate nincompoop.
What even is it, other than proving my point about your schoolboy posts.
I've asked my kids and grandkids what it is, the best they can come up with is it's some kind of English public school joke.
And before you get hysterical telling me my kids must be proud of me. I show them the fun I have on this board with you and the other wannabees.
They think your all hilarious. With your stories and self importance
Sean exactly…. No pockets in a shroud
You are hilarious NAL!
An illiterate Nincompoop calling others clowns:)
Now I have seen it all!
Eloro. Once again you appear to have misunderstood my posts.
Your post.
" You have your opinion of us, so please put us straight since you think we are wrong"
I have in fact never said you are wrong. I'm indifferent to your juvenile posts.
What I have said, is your craving to be as clever as the grown ups makes you make up stories to improve your standing.
First you tell us your half Canadian. No coincidence as irwin is your hero
Then when that wears of, you tell us your in almost daily contact with solg.
As for the two directors, clowns like you can post a thousand words.
But all that needs saying is that it once again shows what a bloody mess solg is in.
2 directors resigning just before an agm.
No matter how many times adikt posts to the contrary.
Ray I was never a fan of Duncan Bannantyne but he did make one observation that has stuck with me - there is no point being the wealthiest man in the graveyard.
Live your life. Enjoy your wealth. Before it's too late. And there are plenty of things in this life more important than money.
You're a good trader Ray. Much respect to you. 👍

Could this be the a sign that Lasso's team are finally putting pen to paper in their last week in power?
Prior to recent elections, Lasso's ability (or anyones for that matter) was hindered by Perez (eco warrior) who had loads of seats in the assembly and thus pushed for eco issues or held back pro mining. With Noboa in, the assembly has changed significantly, with Perez having almost zero in the Assembly now.
We know Noboa is pro mining. So this potentially bodes well and mining in Ecuador could be looking at a golden spell after a difficult last 3 years which has combined covid woes with Eco Perez opposition. Both issues have gone (not completely) but path clearer for business and miners now.
NAL, you have ignored my question. Or is it that you didn't understand the question?
You have your opinion of us, so please put us straight since you think we are wrong. What is your opinion of the 2 solg BOD members not standing for re-election? Have you heard anything in Oz that would explain their decision not to stand? What are folks in the mining community where you live are saying? Clearly they would have something to say because they previously gave you such an accurate tip regarding a pending bid. Don't be shy, please elucidate on the politics at solg towers from an Aussie perspective. It would make a change from you only commenting on our posts while contributing nothing of substance yourself. I await your insightful comments.
Adikt, eloro, Copperpot.
3 used car salesmen.
Who all by coincidence, have contact with solg board or irwin.
Who also by coincidence post theirconversations.
And guess what, also by coincidence report that their contacts, back up everything they've posted.
And then by coincidence, all three jump on the band wagon to defend each other.
Bloody hilarious
Indeed Add, Lord Nincompoop NAL has arrived:)
NAL, what is your opinion of the 2 BOD members not standing for re-election? With your connections in Oz I thought that you might have heard something.
Perhaps I shouldn't expect you to answer that question given how your grass info about developments re a possible bid turned out.
Two green boxes can only mean the Aussie moron has decided to make more of his fatuous observations. What an absolute champion ar5e that bloke is.
