He couldn't have been more clear on that at Noosa...

"Financing is hard with monetary policy reducing liquidity...
"In conversations with bankers, majors and potential investors, the message was that at the moment it is difficult to get capital for a $4 to $6 billion project....."
Nm has a proven history in this go read up on him
Red and don't forget nm always said he would reward all shareholders prove it up sell it on to the benefit of all shareholders gla
In that case, for your sake and mine, I hope we do end up with a result that does make you happy - I'd certainly be up for that :)
Of course I will Sean, that doesn't mean I have to be happy about it.
Very tight spread...16.8/16.85...still massively bid for size...
I'm firmly bid AT THE PRICE...16.8p...for 300,000
You're no different from the rest of us Bozi - you'll take whatever the market dishes you in the end. You might as well get used to that idea and adjust your expectations.
Its my opinion Bozi, but I believe you couldn't be more wrong...
This has all the signs that Mather, Irwin and Sangha are driving this...
Theres a simple logic to 100% ownership of Cascabel, but the merger dilutes BHP and NCM to just over 10% each.
So if they don't move before the merger completes, someone like Mitsui taking a 6.7% stake (or even more if they've been quietly buying in the market in the last couple of weeks) could open the way to a contested takeover.
I still predict that the final takeout could be a minimum 75/80p and even up to my original suggestion of 100/200p...
Its exactly because of the impending market crash that I believe this is being accelerated by those 'movers and shakers' to a swift and highly profitable conclusion...
This is NOT a defensive merger in my opinion, but Nick's penultimate hurrah as he sails away into a DGR sunset...
It also looks to me like a couple of fairly chunky bed and breakfasts have gone through today...
Short term traders looking for a quick buck on a pending RNS mebbe...?
I think I'll decide what a win is for me, cheers SH.
I'm not sure desperate is the word I'd use Redknight, but bear in mind that Irwin and Sangha are getting one premium from the merger. Now account for the fact they'd be getting another at 40p per SOLG.
The only losers would be Mather and us. Mather isn't invincible unfortunately. We've witnessed that in various ways the last couple of years.
Looking at the bargain size in the last hour stack, if anyone is walking this down, its the MMs to try and shake out some stock...
We'll go ahead again, don't worry...remember the SP rose 6% in the first hour...it needs to consolidate...break 17.50 convincingly and press on towards 19p or beyond...
Anything above 50p is a win for everybody.
The days of hoping for £1.32 etc are well behind us - mainly due to massive dilution since 2015, but also because we squandered so much time and opportunity down the years. We are in a different place now.
Personally I see something like 70p max which is a huge upside from here, a fantastic result for me, and just out of this world for all those *cough* still claiming to be in here *cough* at 4p.
The fact that most of us could have got out at 46p in 2017 and found much better investments for our cash in the years since is by the by - write it off as an opportunity cost.
Those of us who have successfully traded since 2018 on top of our long term investment have nothing to complain about - the 19p - 37p trading cycle was a gold mine.
So are you suggesting that those three are so desperate that they would accept 40p...?
They might not move markets, but BHP, NCM, Mitsui, Sumitomo, Jiangxing, etc. can...moghtily...
We do agree on one thing however...This takeover has to go through pronto so that we can realise our long awaited fortune before the crash comes...

"After four attempts, Brisbane-based but UK-listed SolGold has finally been able to consolidate control of the huge Cascabel copper-gold prospect in Ecuador.
But in doing so, could this mean control of SolGold and the huge potential mine could finally be grabbed by an Australian major?"

"The Company’s strategic vision behind additional project acquisitions is to identify assets with a complementary discovery potential to Sombrero to enhance its existing project portfolio. In addition to Sombrero, the Company is primarily focused on Ecuador, South America, where several companies are experiencing success including Solaris Resources, SolGold, Cornerstone, Dundee Precious Metals, and Lundin Mining.
Who is 'they', 'walking this down'? Biggest sells have been coded 'O' today, so it can't be these mysterious 'Autobots' that usually get accused whenever profit taking or low volume causes the price to fluctuate... Unless.. maybe... This could be a completely unfounded conspiracy with zero evidence?!
Redknight - there's a difference in our thinking and that's fine. I'll suggest it's a trading viewpoint vs value investing.
As for Sangha, Irwin and Mather, those three cannot move the markets. The former two rejected the higher offers earlier on and the macro economic outlook has now changed significantly.
It's really no different than us all talking about a price in the pounds a few years ago. Things change. There's nothing to guarantee those earlier offers will ever be matched. You will surely appreciate that given your appetite to stay nimble in the markets?
They didn't even wait till noon to start walking this back down today... but there does seem to be a strong upward force at work.
Looks like someones buying chunks of SAVE HH...
And why would DC have said 78p, 94p or more for Cascabel alone...?
He's here for a quick buck and fruitful retirement off his options...end of...
And there is no way this will be sold anywhere near 40p...
There will be several prospective bidders...
Do you honestly think Sangha and Irwin agreed this merger only to sell out for the equivalent of c$9 a share when they beat NM off with $12.50 and $20 valuations...
And do you think Nick et al after suffering £65m losses on paper would settle for only £15m higher than before the fall...? Or £4 million for Nick...?
Absolutely Addicknt - I'm just hoping your wrong with this theory!
For the third time Jezzoo you prove yourself to be the main stirrer on here .
But then that's what Slug supporters do isn't it.
