Presumably Moller and Weinberg will be on there way out soon. Otherwise its a bit bloated and expensive.
"Nick has been saying for more than two years that this will go to production!"
There are some gems this morinng!
Is anyone saying it won't go into prodn? The only question who will own it and who will operate?
Operator - BHP
Owners - BHP + ????????
"I do 100% believe Nick and think he is doing great work.
But Solgold is currently a minnow in a tank full of piranhas. There 's the rub, a real threat."
Ah, here's someone who had a good night sleep and not just returned home from a nightclub!
Great minds think alike, mind, yours, meagre mind, mine
O'Kane is BHP's man on SOLG's board...a proxy appointment if ever there was one
"As I have said before, these two companies compliment each other with their different strengths."
Is this comedy?
Not bad for 1st thing in the morning!
BHP & SOLG: equals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ha! beat me to it schlem!
''The Board of SolGold is completely cognisant that exploration and discovery will always remain the core key value driver for the Company.''
exploration and discovery as value drivers NOT production..says it all.
Explore, discover, prove up and sell to the highest bidder that releases VALUE
copper, if I may borrow a quote "there's no evidence to support that". From where I sit, the coincidence is too strong to lend credibility to your claim.
Fantastic news. Very exciting. A true indication of our intentions.
Great article also circulated by Schlem.
Brilliant appointments, to me this has all the hallmarks of Solgold and BHP JV
As I have said before, these two companies compliment each other with their different strengths.
I do like the last two sentences to this paragraph, which to me seems to be setting the forward advancing scheme of how they will work together, all in my opinion of course
Commenting on the new appointments to the Board, SolGold Chair Liam Twigger said:
"I am absolutely delighted to welcome Mrs Maria Amparo Alban, Mr Kevin O'Kane and Mr Keith Marshall to the Board of SolGold. Mrs Amparo Alban's connections and extensive experience in external affairs and operational sustainability in Ecuador, combined with Mr Marshall's and Mr O'Kane's experience in South American mine development and block cave mining, will provide invaluable knowledge and guidance as SolGold emerges to add mine development to its repertoire of award-winning exploration skills in Ecuador. The Board of SolGold is completely cognisant that exploration and discovery will always remain the core key value driver for the Company. The new appointments are designed to complement SolGold's valuable track record and intellectual property in this area."
I do 100% believe Nick and think he is doing great work.
But Solgold is currently a minnow in a tank full of piranhas. There 's the rub, a real threat.
These appointments don't happen overnight! They will have been progressing for months, well before CGP spat out their whinge plug! Fair play to Nick Mather, he's leading us into being the next major! Some folk won't agree with this comment because it doesn't suit their investment strategy....I don't know what it will take for them to start believing NM. I do find it strange that they don't believe or have any faith in what he's saying. Nick has been saying for more than two years that this will go to production! One day the penny may drop!
Colonel, well, what this looks like to me is a sensible defence mechanism in the event CGP does eventually get round to calling and EGM. Although I suppose they may simply argue for the removal of Mather, which I can't see them winning.
I think that is a valid point Addicknt. The new appointments are a very welcome development and a great signal to the market. But it is not that surprising that Solg would not have this calibre of expertise and experience on its board as it progressed from its junior explorer status to where it is now. I think of this as growing pains. CGP raised a valid issue governance. And Solgold addressed it. BHP may have also raised it. It can now pay salaries to people that the market recognises as highly experienced
I know everyone loves to hate CGP, but if they hadn't raised the governance issue in their defence document, I wonder if Mather would have done anything about it?
schlem, what do mean by 'BHP-backed board'?
'BHP-backed SOLG board'
Three excellent appointments, cover two of the biggest PCD deposits of the last 50 years and an ecuador specialist.
The calibre is amazing...well done solg.
I wonder if Craig Jones has handed his notice in yet? We may hear something before the years out ;-)
The lady from Equador looks like a sensible addition.
Very good to see the company has now moved towards the UK Compliance Code.
