Hi Kevin
I do detect some ‘sarcasm’ in your post? However I could have you all wrong chap ?
I was merely enquiring how Dave got on with contacting SNG, after all the did dignify him with a promising reply… shown below..
Obviously I was also hoping his mum was ok!
“ Dear David,
I’m sorry to hear how ill your mother is. Could you answer a few questions for me and I can investigate if it might be possible to get SNG001 to her treating physician?
Is she currently in hospital?
Is she on ventilation?
In which country is she being treated?
Thank you in advance for your reply. Best wishes,
Brooke

Glad it’s worked out well for your family.
Regarding using SNG to aid recovery, I can’t see how anyone would have the right to administer an unapproved drug to anyone unless they were part of a specific trial.
ATB
Thanks, OB - all the best.
Dave
Your old mum is one of the best friends you will ever have …
I am genuinely happy she is on the mend..
Good luck and god bless.
OB
Hi OB,
Thank you for asking.
Mum's doctor gave her steroids and oxygen and said that he thinks she has gone through the worst of it now - phew.
Brooke was very helpful, but said that it was difficult to get involved. I thought that might be the case and thanked her for trying.
Thanks again for the concern. Hoping there will come a time when this is available...
Best wishes to you and all investors here.
Dave.
Hi Dave
How did you get on in the end?
How’s your mum?
I will keep my fingers crossed..
OB
Thanks a lot, Kevin and Mani.
Hoping something can be done.
That’s good news potentially, Dave.
ATB
Yes - I couldn't believe it when I saw the reply. Fair play to Brooke.
If my mum's doctor gets it, I think that could solve the 2nd problem re taking , as she thinks he's ace !!
Fingers crossed.
Hi Dave..
Wow... It is really great to see such a positive and prompt reply.....!!
Good Luck!
Half a chance here, I'm hoping ....

Thinking about it, high dose vitamin d has shown some effectiveness (and I did add that) but I think the best evidence was as a profilactic. There is some mechanism to suggest taking it medicinally anyway.
All the best.
Nice one, Liam - cheers for the info. I'll research those today.
Doc - on reflection, I agree with you (my initial thought).
Problem number 2, assuming I could get any of the drug is my mum saying she won't take it as she and her doctor have not heard of it, and it's not approved. She said this morning that she is feeling better. That could be her code for leave it alone with the treatment angle, David !! A very strong-willed lady ...
I understand that my experience is a sample size of 1 and not clinical in any way. Do the googling, find the papers.
If you cant get hold of any SNG001, do some research on melatonin, quercetin and fisetin. Of course SNG001 being preferable.
Dont want to sound like a hippy, but I took those while I had it and I was testing negative after 5 days and all those around me took 14. They are freely available as supplements already. If you did decide to try those, consume quercetin and fisetin with some oil to aid absorption.
Just google them and you should find the (small) trial writeups.
If you genuinely get through to RM I’ll eat my imaginary hat. All that being said, I obviously wish your mum a speedy recovery.
Thank you very much again, Mani - I will ring Richard and ask what chance there is for me to get a supply of SNG001. Will report back. Seems like a decent bloke to me. Mum being mum and saying she needs no help from me !
Dave..
YES Definitely ring RM.... I expect he may have found himself in the same position as you with family/friends,
or others at SNG will have..... I think he will understand your need to get SNG001 for your Mum..
You know there is something that can help her and naturally will do anything you can to help..
I think you will get a sympathetic reception ......ATB!
Thanks very much for the support, Mani - much appreciated. My mum is so independent and will not listen to me, but when she told me she cannot breathe. It's tough, but should I ring Richard. He has enough on his plate. This drug should be available for all. It works, and what has happened is not right. I didn't think this could happen. Her Doctor says he has not heard of it and how can they as the regulators will not let it through?
Dave
Please let us know how you get on....I think many of us have wondered if we were
in your position if we could get hold of SNG001....TIA!
Best to you and your Mum !

Not sure if this MAP is still applicable but it gives a tel number where Health Professionals
in the EU can obtain drug ATB
Thanks, again, OB - have a great w/e.
Dave.
Dave
Using the v word over here can be dangerous, but I guess under the circumstances you will get away with that one, thanks for your kind words…
My late dad, was a lovely bloke 1 in a million, 2 things he could not stand was a liar or a thief, so i try and be honest and genuine.. I’m lucky as my kids are the same ..
Don’t be shy on the board over there …
Good luck with your mum :)
OB
Hi Oldbaldy,
Couldn't agree more with your sentiments. I said similar in my e-mail !
It's such a travesty that it's not available. Heart and wallet-breaking !
Thanks for the good wishes re mum - much appreciated. She is very stubborn though, and has said to me she isn't sure about taking an unapproved drug (doh).
P.S. Follow your posts on Val, and believe you to be one of the most genuine posters I've seen. Hope it comes good there for all. I have a small holding which is currently underwater. My whole portfolio should be renamed 'submarine' !!!
Cheers,
Dave.
Dave
I have often thought what would happen if I was in a similar situation… I imagine myself turning up at there HQ in Southampton with a wedge of cash and a pen to sign anything they want, and knee pads if I needed to beg…
Please take my very sincere best wishes for your mum ..
Good luck
OB
