Id be more interested to find out if the top 10 pulmonary doc in the UK had bought shares. That would be telling. I know one has.
they are much more likely in my view to announce that the death rates are falling, hospital rates falling due to treatments they have instigated than yelling to the public to all go order Synairgen. I think which medicine to use will be up to the quacks. That in my opinion, given it has to go through the trusts will depend if it has a cost benefit over another drug in keeping you out of hospital or lowering your days. There is no reason for any quack to not use this if it was therapeutic and optimal. None at all. Thus, when they are able to produce in quantity and are able to distribute, there is no reason to suppose that the medics wont be using it. Chris Whitty seems a sound man to me - he aint going to tell his Profs and Docs throughout London " nah, i fancied a vaccine only" is he??? Also, i know absolutely he is well linked to really the top pulmonary docs certainly in London and they talk all the time.
I agree, how can they mention without the approval.
"If the evidence for interferon was not mounting by the day I'd probably consider selling some of my holding now as the lack of recognition/news is just about starting to worry me."
Chrisrar - you are of course right but we all live for whiffs of good news, a little nod or wink, a mention of Southampton, just to let us know that they know without saying anything
I suspect there is an NDA in place until confirmation. I imagine the government can't speak on SNG until it is though peer review etc
They'll all need SNG001 as a vaccine is still a long way of for the majority.
What we have to remember is the analogy that has been coined by the politicians that this is a ‘battle’, it’s a ‘war’.
What do politicians use as a weapon in war? Propaganda.
A far more potent weapon to espouse to the masses is a vaccine. A vaccine will ‘protect’ you from getting this disease (at least in a significant way). If they say ‘’we can’t stop you getting it’ that means ‘it’ ie.the virus has won. Remember, it’s a ‘war’.
A treatment, at this time, would sound more like a sticking plaster. ‘We can’t stop this thing but we might make you better’.
Propaganda.. that’s what it’s all about. We are not as sexy as a vaccine.
BUT FEAR NOT. We are the next stage...... when it becomes very clear that they cannot offer the miracle vaccine. When the hospital cases rise, WE - SNG001 WILL be the cavalry.
Take a deep breath, be patient, it’s just a matter of time now.
pmjh is correct, Dexamethasone is registered and available now and can be spoken about in public, vaccine is a more general discussion the public want to hear. SNG100 is being registered and also now has additional claims/patent application with Dexamethasone, which are being verified. IMHO The UK gov won't announce until i's and t's are approved/cleared claims for use. Once they are confident SNG is ready and in production Big Ben/Boris will ring loudly indeed, also I do think the leading runner has entered the stadium and the vest number is SNG001. Gold.
Remember we dont need it announced on the BBC... what we as shareholders need given the limited number of shares, is mega licensing contracts - they dont depend on announcements on the Beeb. They might have looked at Trump going off on treatments earlier in the Summer and the damage that did and they just dont need it. 10 global licensing deals or even a deal with NHS Procurement doesnt need PR announcments IMHO
very good point chrishar. also they did say we have treatments plural so they are still waiting to announce it once approved
If the evidence for interferon was not mounting by the day I'd probably consider selling some of my holding now as the lack of recognition/news is just about starting to worry me. It's worth remembering though that the lead scientists want to change human behaviour to stop the spread... shouting about therapeutics does the opposite of that - it alleviates fears.
Not going to look too good on our government if they are not helping to fast track us given we could win the best technology award at the AIM awards in two weeks time. With potentially 49,000 people going to die if virus is left unchecked (Gov estimated figure).
Come on lads. That PR stunt was clearly to set up for Boris to announce new lockdown measures. The message around vaccines was to give slight hope that lockdown wouldn't last forever.
They were never going to announce that we have a treatment that redcues disease progression by 79% as that would make people complacent over measures.
SNGs time will come
21st Century and the human species is still 'thick' / 'gullible' :-((
if anyone has the slightest doubt watch richards latest interview again then go for a walk and keep patient
I've gone back to the Proactive investors interview on COPD
Don’t worry folks we have a vaccine, possibly six, none of which may work, probably could be ready first half of next year but may not be available then either. Brilliant. Time for an effective therapeutic, anyone have any suggestions?
also NCYT GeraintISA- is a no-brainer for me that inhaled interferon-beta has a place on the list of treatments.
I'm going to read some of pmjh's research to make myself feel better
Well they managed to say not very much at all other than the bleeding obvious.
Uk government seem to have zero interest in us. Dont understand it!!
Most exciting which is...
COME ON COME ON
..vaccines.
SH&T
What a pile of ****, its like they are refusing to acknowledge facts.. we have a preventative drug and are being overlooked, whats the problem??
Epidemic now doubling every 7 days. We're back in late Feb/early March again
Dexamethasone AND NOTHING ELSE. FFS.
