No change from last week (a common theme for SGZ). The reverberations of heavy machinery still fill the Glen. Had lunch sitting looking over the site from Ben Oss. Could see heavy plant moving about and heard the occasional beep beep as vehicles backed up. Still working, still making a lot of noise. Just not on the news front … I’ll not be back up in these hills this year - somewhat hoping we’ve heard something by the time I come back. GLA
Scotgold; the joys of missed deadlines! Tomorrow may be a better day, R.
Big swing on small sells; the joys of AIM.
Hopefully you will hear something other than SGZzzzzzzz! Have a nice day, R.
While you are there see if you can still hear the drumming of our collective fingers waiting for the RNS... its certainly loud from where i am sitting at the moment
Didn’t get into the hills around Cononish last weekend as planned, but I am going tomorrow. Will take my binoculars and see if I can see any bullion lying around the offices LoL GLA!
Baz, I can't visualize you as Bruce Willis!
Samson, ta for the link. A good read with expressions of overcoming obstacles and faith in the future like those that have kept many here for so many years, but now it's results that count! Fingers crossed for tomorrow!
GLA, R.
Just a thought or two S'son... the mine was running at design performance for just a " few days" according to last RNS and producing 180 grms pt- shipping 25 tonnes of concentrate that month ( plus modest amounts of gravity gold Dore which was also produced)- "achieving maximum price within the agreed terms within the offtake agreement" ( whatever price that is anyone?)
Based on this and my back of a saved fag packet I keep for such things would mean an approx income of £2-3m PA based on a rounded general price of gold of approx £40 per grm and that's as stated just" ... given days throughout April and May both the mine and process plant have been achieving near design rates of production". The RNS also stated the"resolution of various outstanding technical issues "
Based on these positives I would hope there are no backward steps- but even if this is a continual improvement this month it wouldn't negate the possibility they want/ need more money as you indicated... but I just hope not or we are sunk ( again) for the umpteenth time.
So keep your snorkel next to the amber nectar just in case. GLA
'Baz, it was the England team, '' RH ,I put that just for you.I knew you would bite.I roared for England last night .I am a diehard Unionist .
Maybe they think we’ve been kicked so hard and so often that they will only give out news when it’s good……even if they have to delay a few days. I can live in hope.
Baz, it was the England team, but at least Scotland came closer to beating them than anyone else!
No trades so far today and no sign of 'leaks.' The RNS might be a surprise and we'll have to hope for a good one!
Regards R.
Baz.. silence is hopefully its not as negative as it has been in recent past and that maybe " Silence is ( will become) golden" soon.
As stated in RNS on 1st June - "The company expects to inform the market through regular monthly updates going forward, where a focus on forward looking statements is expected including the ramp-up of production and new estimates
for calendar year 2021 gold production...
Fingers crossed tomorrow or Friday ish..??
It's been very quiet ,This does not usually bode well.I hope I am wrong.Great result for the uk team
England have a win, so here's hoping the end of June monthly report tomorrow or Thursday is a winner too!
The company expects to inform the market through regular monthly updates going forward, where a
focus on forward looking statements is expected including the ramp-up of production and new estimates
for calendar year 2021 gold production...
from 1st june 21 RNS
“The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.”
Methinks all the action is on GGP......
I've never known the board so quiet for so long.
Are we to expect an update tomorrow?
Back up there on Sunday for some more walking hopefully. Will check the length of the grass in the area when the sun comes out late afternoon. Met a fella pulling rocks from the River Cononish on Tuesday. Had just found a rock with 3-5g of gold in it (his estimate). If the sun doesn’t come up, and Bellers doesn’t cut the grass, I’m off to buy waders.
Maybe SGZ could sponsor Bellers to go on a "chase the sun" tour to keep that mower in constant action where ever the weather is good and grass needs cutting?
We've been much in need of it's luck over the last few months.
Rockhead, you’re correct. I would have cut it today but seeing as it seems to be November I thought stuff it. I may venture out tomorrow as the lovely Miss Kirkwood says the sun will shine on me. Let’s hope it shines on the next update from Cononish. :-)
A soggy day in God's own county today. The grass should be growing well over the w/e, so Bellers might be able to exercise his mower next week approaching the month end.
ERIS have posted a wee geo-video for our amusement:

A good w/e to all here, R.
Everybody likes first hand news with 12 recommending your post. Hope you had a good time. Only 6/7 days to the end of month RNS to find out how things are going at Cononish. Hopefully PD has ticked more boxes on his aims.
GLA, R.
So recognising this isn’t a walking or camping forum, I’ll keep this short.
The SGZ mine at Cononish nestles in the hills around Ben Lui, and I had the opportunity to have a summer solstice camp on high earlier in the week.
Unfortunately, you can’t walk up to the mine directly for obvious reasons, but what they can’t hide is the mechanical sound of equipment which loudly reverberated around the glen on the walk-in and walk-out and the large green processing shed in the site.
Obviously this means nothing, but as a long term holder, I was quite encouraged by the sound of activity at the mine, a level of activity which coupled with recent RNS about tonnage extracted and loans granted, must surely yield positive news …
