Hopefully that news will help them detect orders too! #fingerscrossed
If only UK Govt had invested in domestic LFD supply chains. You know, things like capital investment, jobs etc.
Oh wait, they did and let the contracts lapse.
Ridiculous state of affairs..
Just picked up a box of seven from my local pharmacy - very apologetic as they are having to restrict how much they are handing out.
Thanks for the replies - looks like I haven’t missed anything. Hold the line … GLA
Nothing material appears to have changed has it? Yet the price has scuba dived?
Has anyone got a holding in any market segment that’s making sense right now?
p.s. their current market cap is about £93million so either their price / turnover ratio is 10 (which be incredible for the chemicals industry) or someone somewhere thinks they are going to turnover circa £93m which isn’t too far away from my back of the fag packet economics led guesstimate. #HowAreStockPricesCalculatedWithNoData
Computer909, was the group revenue forecast of £9.3m not for the year ended 2021BC (Before Covid) Dunno, but the £400k figure I mentioned is the average across all business in that industry (from startup to mature) and we know that Omega Diagnostics are beginning to gain market traction through various certifications across their other product lines, not just Covid LFTs. Better to be diversified than not … lots of growth opportunities.
Cheers Gosie. I’m into them at various price points and more than content to sit and wait. Even if their Covid plans don’t come off, I’ll make some money if they perform like an average company in their space. Unlike others, I don’t need 10x tomorrow morning, although I wouldn’t object LoL. Don’t let anyone loosen your grip … patience.
In the absence of credible news, I’ve been doing some thinking on the economics ...
From the Scottish Annual Business Survey 2018 (latest data) companies in their SIC code (Chemicals) generated circa £400k/employee.
200 employees would therefore be expected, on average, to generate circa £80m in turnover.
Applying a conservative price to turnover (sales) ratio of 2 and dividing by the number of shares in circulation (183m) would give an average share price of £0.87, not £0.52.
In these times, you can pick any inflationary ratio you want to get whatever share price you want. £0.44 x … 2, 3, 5 …
My point being that there is surely no way that the ratio is circa 1 based on the numbers of employees they are bringing on and the average turnover per head for their sector. That’s before I mention that I said circa £80m and they have a £374m order pending confirmation of preferred test.
Looking forward to hearing their earnings …
No change from last week (a common theme for SGZ). The reverberations of heavy machinery still fill the Glen. Had lunch sitting looking over the site from Ben Oss. Could see heavy plant moving about and heard the occasional beep beep as vehicles backed up. Still working, still making a lot of noise. Just not on the news front … I’ll not be back up in these hills this year - somewhat hoping we’ve heard something by the time I come back. GLA
Didn’t get into the hills around Cononish last weekend as planned, but I am going tomorrow. Will take my binoculars and see if I can see any bullion lying around the offices LoL GLA!
Back up there on Sunday for some more walking hopefully. Will check the length of the grass in the area when the sun comes out late afternoon. Met a fella pulling rocks from the River Cononish on Tuesday. Had just found a rock with 3-5g of gold in it (his estimate). If the sun doesn’t come up, and Bellers doesn’t cut the grass, I’m off to buy waders.
So recognising this isn’t a walking or camping forum, I’ll keep this short.
The SGZ mine at Cononish nestles in the hills around Ben Lui, and I had the opportunity to have a summer solstice camp on high earlier in the week.
Unfortunately, you can’t walk up to the mine directly for obvious reasons, but what they can’t hide is the mechanical sound of equipment which loudly reverberated around the glen on the walk-in and walk-out and the large green processing shed in the site.
Obviously this means nothing, but as a long term holder, I was quite encouraged by the sound of activity at the mine, a level of activity which coupled with recent RNS about tonnage extracted and loans granted, must surely yield positive news …
