There is another angle I don't think has been mentioned and the reverse of why PM said about the lack of orders running upto Christmas. If Coronovirus slows down haulage business's it then frees up vehicles to be serviced and updated, perfect time for installing our product and serves as a cautionery measure against drivers being ill at the wheel.
A slow down in car manufacturing is minimal impact as our new installations don't really start until 2021 so again this will be minimal impact.
DR, 20,551 was 2 months ago we will be higher than that now

All reasonable responses - thank you.
Especially the production in Batches which I had forgotten about.
Glandore,
I believe that the contract was for 40k devices to be manufactured in batches. So they have the capability to make more, but we don't want to tie up capital in having too many in stock, especially if the existing customers already have their Guardian devices at their depots to install when the vehicles are available. It is good to know that there are enough manufactured to get us to the YE target. When the stock runs below a certain level, it would be customary to make the next batch JIT, but perhaps they will place the order earlier if it looks like manufacturing is going to be an issue.
20,500 installed.+5,500 in stock=26,000.
Target 27,000-30,000.
So, I see it that we have enough to get pretty close and by then production should be back up to normal ( if it is not now )
Fair question but I think the answer is obvious - nobody knows at this stage how big it will be and for how long it will be an issue.
"...While Guardian is manufactured in Shanghai, the current impact of the Coronavirus on the supply of product is minimal...."
It is indeed good news that there is no "current" impact on fleet so hopefully the H2 targets will be met.
Questions arise from the wording above - is there likely to be an impact once the finished goods are used up ? Is Guardian production still happening or is it stopped ?
I only ask because the company has decided to update us without addressing these important questions.
Please do not charge me with deramping - any SEE holder must have had these questions occur to them even if they choose not to raise them here.
The corona virus is something that all companies have to address, but it is clearly a double edged sword that Sophie on our behalf has handled well. IMHO
The update is welcome and hopefully will be shortly joined by many more.
There’s a relentless moan about a lack of updates, but then when one arrives...
In my opinion they have handled this very well.
Really clear and concise information that tells us we have enough units in stock to hit the year end targets.
Again my opinion is the newsletter was an appropriate way of communicating this information
I'm with Robbie on this, well done Sophie

It’s an update to everyone who has registered for the newsletter. Not to the wider market. Which means no impact on the SP. I’m sure if they did a corporate update in an RNS and titled it coronavirus causing Guardian minimal impact and we are on target to exceed our year end target but will monitor the situation closely. I would be appreciating the update. This is just another wasted opportunity. Looks like PM doesn’t want his freebies and Sophie as I’ve said before is just useless.
Great update, thanks Sophie just what we need on a damp Thursday Nice one!
Why do these idiots not put it in an RNS for the wider market rather than on a newsletter. Sometimes I wonder we should just take over this company I’m sure we could prob do a better job at PR with no experience of it.
So it's taken a pandemic virus to force this news out of the company. I give up
Guardian Update
Fleet continues to gather momentum around the world. With two new distributors, one in Turkey and one in Taiwan, Seeing Machines now counts 14 channel partners globally.
Installations are growing across the Asia Pacific and South American regions in particular and other regions, such as the UK, continue to ramp.
While Guardian is manufactured in Shanghai, the current impact of the Coronavirus on the supply of product is minimal as current levels of finished product stand at around 5,500 units. The bulk of these units are with customers to be installed or in transit to channel partners, and the remainder are in the process of being shipped from our China based warehouse to other third-party logistics premises in the UK, Australia or USA. This situation continues to be monitored closely
