It’s not the first time I’ve confused threads.
*could do better!
Razor...lol no worries. Made me laugh.
Oh dear Jimini I apologise I thought you were talking to me.
Razor. You are confusing threads...try and keep up... ;-)
Dear me Jimini you need to take a chill pill.
At no point have I claimed Superdry’s share price would be anywhere near £5 as you claim.
I believe the share price is artificially high and tried to suggest that anyone with half decent profit should cash them in.
Perhaps you should concentrate on what I post when you’re reading and not allow your mind to project the aggression you for what ever reason are carrying.
Says the guy who called SDRY the 'King of Athleisure"!
I haven't read one worthwhile discussion point in any of your posts. You do realise that this is a discussion board, right? Back in June you opined, twice, that SDRY "would've smashed sales in the last quarter". Hmmmm. You appear to know nothing at all. I put you in the "£5 by Xmas bracket" of cheerleaders. Telling everyone that you've "tripled your holding" (twice), or that you've added "another 30k at x price", is of no interest or use to anyone.
What exactly was the point of your last post? Seriously.
"King of Athleisure". Good God.
erm, no I still have them with a 49% gain (less some that I sold today to buy more CPI)
I am far from bitter, I am merely saying SDRY is not the brand it was 10 years ago, so if you are banking on a climb to >500p it may take more than a Covid vaccine.
However, if you think SDRY is the coolest brand out there give your head a big ol' wobble.
Wow, you really offer valuable insight into fashion. Why don’t you apply to be Superdry’s new creative director? HARHARHAR.
I’m going to call it. You sold your shares before the rally and are now feeling bitter. I for one am very happy with my 40% gain for the month...
I just looked at them on the website, they look like a huge mistake. They are a cross between oldskool vans and alex mcqueens but not in a good way. Whereas the other, more subtle items look ok and decent quality. Superdry is ripe for a rebrand and to target a new audience, but not with those.
I’m happy for now, with Sdry and other retailers getting a nice rise from vaccine news, and the nearly here lockdown relaxation.
I passed my local SDRY store earlier today. I was struck by the amount of window real estate given to the ‘vegan’ trainers that I have already mentioned I’m not a fan of. I’m guessing (of course), that the prominence of the display indicates that Mr D has gone in ‘big’ on these trainers. I don’t get it. I’m not sure who exactly is going to buy these and walk around wearing them. They are not shy and retiring in their design. If people are shying away from large brand lettered SDRY t shirts, then why are they going to don bright yellow high tops on their feet. Statement trainer buying isn’t for the ‘dads’. I can’t see anyone who actually cares about trainers even considering a SDRY option. Nike and Adidas eat al do ‘vegan’ trainers, and I feel that if you’re that picky, then you’re probably picky about brand. SDRY are not Adidas, or Nike, and they never will be, they have no authenticity in that market. Next and Marks and Spencers sell trainers, and ‘sportswear’, but you don’t see it much in gyms or sports fields do you?
I could be wrong, but it just feels like a huge miss for me. It makes me question whether JD actually still has the eye and the instincts. Is the Creative director from Nike football leading him down a path? I think the next trading statement will be interesting.
I do hope so. The big question here and some form of scepticism on this page is whether SDRY brand can recover its appeal. There are some big BF deals going off on their Facebook page (sdry.com) so let's hope they can recover.
Black Friday - if we do well during Black Friday and Online Sales pick up. In my view Oct-Feb , with Christmas is the prime time for retailers and especially SDRY as especially with Jackets , coats, Hoodies.
My view is that by Feb-2021 we should be trading at 4-5 pounds +, once the vaccine is out and retail will be back in fashion.
in my view. Retailers should do very well in 2021.
Rotation going on. Smart Fund Managers normally start accumulating before new year starts.
