C7 - I was thinking much the same as I walked the dogs in the dry but slightly overcast (5/8 cloud cover, 1020mb and rising), having booked a holiday to Italy last night. P.S. Feel free to block me or just skip over or ignore this post if you feel it contains anything irrelevant.

Kashdog.
Brilliant post just wanted to respond in case it gets taken down.
VDog!…that’s more like it for me…challenge the logic and maybe we will get a more realistic and constructive chat here?
I am a strong supporter here and believe it will be rewarded… what I don’t get is blind optimism coupled with personalised content that I believe is designed to ramp the stock.
Bermuda is one of the few posters here that deals in facts without the pathetic personalised weather forecasts from north of the “border”, updates on our dogs exercise, and updates from our love lives…and health!!!… if you have a love life, then surely your health ain’t as bad as you think!… or say!!!… Rinse and repeats that are just trying to promote the stock should be ignored!… suggesting that you are trading this stock in the tight range that it has been for some time and making profit is a lie.… you cannot make money trading this spread unless you are spectacularly lucky… and, as a gambler, I know you ain’t that lucky C7!!!
This is what CEPI stated in their original announcement in March :
OSLO, Norway, March 31, 2021: CEPI, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, today launched a call for proposals to develop broadly protective SARS-CoV-2 vaccines and broadly protective Betacoronavirus vaccines. CEPI plans to invest up to US$200 million in promising vaccine candidates up to clinical proof of concept.
SCLP will be getting Covidity data from SA already.....so.....looking at the last sentence SCLP may be able to declare "proof of concept" in a relatively short time frame. So... are we ahead of the game and therefore don't need CEPI funding and /or don't fit the criteria anymore ?
Kash I don't post that often but I did think the Cepi result was as eagerly awaited as that of the GC. I can't be blamed as being overly positive or rampish towards any share. The article posted by Johnny B did give me a bit of hope with just that line that AFASCS put Sclp more In the frame. We'll know soon enough anyway. AIMO.
Proving my “rinse and repeat” comment!
Nice discussion. I would just like to add that I have never included funding from CEPI as part of my trading position here. To me it would be a tremendous bonus if finances came from that resource.
As far as comments about GC being overhyped here, I think that is not quite the case. For me getting to the finals was success on its own, and I am sure like any event we have been part of led to the funding deal we were richly deserving of with Redmile and a huge boost to our SP and Market Cap. In a funny way many artists (I hear, lol) don"t necessarily have to win a talent contest to enjoy the riches of success.
It would seem many of us agree to some degree to feel positive about our investments here. I really do feel we will get some very good news this week prior to the Financial Results on Friday. As Ruck would probably suggest Tuesday just might be that day, and I am increasingly confident that something very good is brewing here as to the late notice of the AGM.
More than anything data will be the driver here and at last we are back into human trials on the COVID platform, for me news we are back into human trials for any of our cancer platforms will really please me as would any updates on new areas of development. Let"s face it, we now have over 50 members in Team Scancell, we know the financials will show our biggest loss, now let us hear why so much is happening and so much invested in new premises for our ever expanding team.
Something very good is happening here IMVHO. ATB guys, roll on the coming weeks.
Its hard to imagine CEPI would just announce a company out of the blue, there would surely be a round of talks to ensure everyone is on the same page prior to an announcement. The expansion of lab space and increasing numbers of staff may be a precursor to an announcement simply to give the project its best chance of early success. The CEPI decision may have been taken weeks ago with the announcement timing being decided to suit both or all parties. NDAs will have been signed, Heads of agreement signed etc. The last thing needed is an announcement that then gets rowed back because of disagreement due to a lack of planning.
I suspect the mantra of "great science leads to great data leads to great deals" is from Lindy, even though it became CH's much used statement.
It shows a confidence in the quality of the science.
So again I suspect Lindy will be awaiting some good phase 1 data including good levels of memory T Cells for both S and N epitopes before committing to a deal.
So the more patients who show good levels of the memory cells, the better.
30 is a number that is often cited as a minimum sample size before realistic conclusions can be deduced.
This is an interesting discussion around this magic number

Let's hope IF Covitidy Is proven. That whatever road Sclp takes Is well though out by the Bod And the Malor players. Aimo.
What we can say is CEPI are about to announce funding for their chosen next-gen vaxs from their $200 million call.
Covidity does look like a potential candidate there are going to be plenty of others in the race but at least we are now in that race and data will still rule....
In the beginning I was all for the CEPI route others (nana) were not ... the whole 'for cost' meaning no profit for Scancell being an issue... one I did not then mind as to me the pluses far out weighed the minuses .... A fully backed all the way Covidity with manufacture and distribution covered at no cost to Scancell the exposure for Scancell and value-added to ImmunoBody/Avidimab with potential of attractive deals increased... etc oh and the keeping of IP
Now though I'm not so sure ... as the race has gone on we have seen some very big winners and my preferred route would be a BioNTech one I'd like some of that mRNA success and profit ... so that would mean a pharma partner... the issue is though it is a crowded race time is not on anyone side and we need to get over the finish line if no pharma is committing but CEPI are then we have to go that route we already experienced what happened with SCIB1 waiting on an interested partner....
Still the main thing... Covidity is now in the race and data is coming :) ..... plenty of future fun for all lol
Whether Sclp get the funding or not at least they seem to be on That path mentioned and highlighted by JohnnyB. AIMO
TF absolutely agree I had the same feeling after the GC non event. So much build up. I for one admit that I thought that Sclp getting Involved with Covid Vaccine was a distraction. That Sclp needed something to do especially with the very possible hold ups with their other major compounds. So far I was wrong. Hope I'm not jumping the gun. Reminder to ALL posters. The Sclp BB lately has been fairly pleasant. Please Refrain from from the abuse. Agree to disagree OR Don't reply.
Thank You. IMO.
Nice discussion and thanks for clarification Crumbs.
The amount of money available to CEPI is so much more than the GC and we can probably understand/ compare the different “competing entries” if SCLP have applied easier than the diverse range of projects last time.
I am pretty confident that no unique approach that CEPI thinks offers great potential will go unsupported whereas with thecCRUK sometimes the money not enough was available to support all of the promising effirts
Getting to the finals of the GC was not disappointing it was the then not getting over the funding line for a modi3 blueprint project funding but with Covidity unlike that modi3 we have a product actually in a real trial so really if the vaxs announced by CEPI does not include Covidity, of course, people can ask why not Covidity but they should not be disappointed as my point was we were always in the race to lose GC we have no idea whatsoever if Covidity was presented to CEPI for their $200 million call .... Of course if that is the case and is chosen.... happy days we know Covidity will secure the backing to get into a ph3 and beyond etc... It will still all depend on the data though... So as long as that is great I won't be disappointed ...yet lol
With respect Crumbs I didn't comment on the GC and CEPI being similar, merely that to me the memory of that disappointment remains. Just chatting you know.
Also Guys, I don't think the possibility of a CEPI involvement should be underplayed - it's not just tweets - in the article CEPI published in April about the search for a 'Universal Vaccine', I seem to remember Scancell was the only Company mentioned specifically in this respect - we had a whole para I believe.
So whilst I'm not ramping up the idea, the fact is, CEPI interest IS possible. ATB
As I understand it, COVAX is CEPIs response to COVID-19 and the intent behind that, is to accelerate the development and manufacture of COVID-19 vaccines. The COVAX programme is co-led by not just CEPI but GAVI & the WHO also. We know that both GAVI & the WHO are well aware of COVIDITY because it features on their webpages and so the point I make, is multiple leading organisations have Scancell on their radar, not just the CEPI funding piece. For balance, there are of course many other vaccines in trial on their radar, although low percentage of them are DNA based.
Fingers crossed for a positive week ahead.
It is part of their $200 millon call where indeed they did ask for applicants ... those are the vaxs that are about to be announced I do think Covidity fits their criteria and indeed the ImmunoBody platform offers great broader potential to them we just have no idea if Scancell applied infact even if vaxs are announced and Covidity isn't one that can mean either they applied and failed or they did not apply lol.... so the GC element just does not apply... what we do know for a fact is getting Covidity into a ph3 will need at partner of which CEPI could fulfil .... anyways looking forward to the data flow and of course on that being great on getting that ph3 by whatever partnering option/s .... Covid vaxs are the absolute pharma blockbusters of our era so though CEPI is a very viable path it is not particularly our most profitable one... anyways main thing is getting it all the way either route would I think have a very positive sp affect! :) and all those labs sing British unicorn biotech to me! (£1billion mcap)
Morning Crumbs,
Not sure it is the kind of project where you formally present or even apply but we do know that CEPI having quoted the SCLP Approach in an early tweet and then highlighted the need for targeting the Nucleocapsid protein in Johnny’s excellent post shows they will be very aware of SCOV2.
So great timing of AGM to get a formal update or at least ask the question
Morning guys.................JohnnyB1, many thanks for those excellent posts.
The more articles I read, the more confident I feel we are very much on the right track, and not too long to find out considerably more.
We knew we were in the Grand Challenge finals whereas we have no idea if we are in the CEPI call ... we can guess from RGs retweeting and then not retweeting of CEPI tweets that we possibly did present Covidity to them and it is up to CEPI to decide I...anyways we will all find out if that is the route to ph3 scancell are taking... there are other possibly much more lucrative for Scancell routes and I have no doubts those avenues are being ventured too but it will all hang on the data which is, at last, being generated the facilities expansion and increase in capabilities makes me confident something is coming with money attached just not sure what lol.... still it will be interesting to see what vaxs CEPI are about to back...
