Might be interesting if anyone can sniff out those patents :)
Awonda interesting point this is all I can find ... apart from I doubt there would be much issue in scancell using continuum IP either by license or what not... and of course scancells IP would remain scancells
'Continuum has brought together some of the
world’s leading cancer experts and equipped
them with the resources they need to carry out
the research required to answer these questions.
Hopefully, that potential can then be harnessed
to treat cancer in a new and innovative way.
We are delighted to announce that the patent
process has already commenced for some of the
discoveries we have made, bringing us one step
closer to finding a cure for this terrible disease.'
Good that Ruck:) ..... I'm going with Monday then!
Morning all,
Cleanerworld,
I understand the frustration caused by high expectation followed by crushing disappointment.
To judge whether the level of disappointment is merited, here are some RNS facts.
Average days between RNSs (since 2011) - 20
Days since last RNS - 73
Longest time between RNSs - 123 days (31/01/2011 SCIB1 safety review to 3/06/2011 appointment of broker)
Most likely day for an RNS - Tuesday (26%)
Least likely days - Monday (17%), Friday (18%)
(Wednesday 20%, Thursday 19%)
So fully expecting an RNS on Tuesday, or Tuesday week latest :)
BTW, I have only taken into account RNSs of scientific and financial importance and excluded things like director dealing, holding notices and price monitoring.
My understanding about Continuum is that Continuum owns all the IP that comes out of that research programme. (I would love to be corrected on this). Of course anyone who knows about the IP may then do a deal that is beneficial to all to commercialise it.e.g by combining IP and knowhow etc.
Morning All,
nlondon1234, what a coincidence, I was watching a documentary in recent days about community gardening charities. Had never been that aware of exactly what kind of work they actually do and was mightily impressed.
Good share, and I can say I have never lost faith in our IP, cannot wait to see us grow into it. ATB
Come n sclp!I still hold the faith in your ip.
My fave community gardening charity is growing and expanding its exoertise and working towards funding itself through revenue and not grants.
Just been down there today and they do so much great work for the local community, even before Covid.I‘m so happy nonetheless and just wanted to share it!
Agree absolutely Ray.
"Lindy attends conferences to present on Scancell's science, not to announce news.
The 2 have never been linked in my experience."
'Twas ever thus.
RayPointer
Wholeheartedly endorse your observation about the reason for Prof Durrant's attendance at conferences.
Lindy attends conferences to present on Scancell's science, not to announce news.
The 2 have never been linked in my experience.
News about the SCIB1 combo trial restarting could happen at any time. It is mainly about predicting the likely future impact by Covid19 on hospital resources.
For the Modi1 trial starting, this may be preceded by an RNS about the completion of the manufacture.
For Covidity who knows when news will come and what the content will be. It could be the completion of the delivery system, completion of the manufacture, P1 trial starting, more funding, a deal with CEPI or any combination of these in 1 RNS.
It's almost left field now but we could hear of developments on the Glycans/Avidimab front. Remember no less than 3 companies were in collaboration with Scancell.
Then, sticking to left field, there is Lindy's work for continuum. We are told that there will be an exciting announcement soon. Will it involve Lindy finding some more important cancer targets?
Then, if that's not enough, Lindy has apparently found important targets in early stage cancer.
The immortal mice are busy placing bets :-)

I like your idea of setting sights towards hearing more by end of H1 rather than setting targets for information before that timeline. To me it works that it would be a plus to hear before rather than being disappointed should earlier ideas not be met. The expectations for news from Scancell have been far too optimistic for so long it has become a bit of a joke, but sadly a bad one. Please let's not have another disappointment in timelines that themselves have not been put forward by Scancell themselves.

Kinda sets out a marker for news, only about 4 weeks to go and an opportunity to release an RNS or two before the conference date., and lest we knew news can come at any time.
Thanks LL
MiaV,
End H1 was in the mid Feb presentation by the CEO - think it was slide 26cor slide 19, with news announcements expected in the title...
We know Durrant is presenting mid May in a conference, so perhaps that may dhed light on whether CTs have begun recruitment, etc.
Evening chester, Yeah I have been suggesting for a while that Covidity might well be not the first news we hear. I think our expectations grew when in the media blitz it was reported we would be entering trials "within weeks", so I do get how Cleanerworld felt with her first post this morning.
For me as we rose to the years high of 27.9 my adrenaline levels were running high, for me when that happens expetations take over and I crave to see the share perform as it did then again.
That last rise was so well timed for me in as much as the 40k I sold has paid for my home decorating costs, but just left me with a lesser holding which is why I bought 10k more at 22.75 last week. Dependant on news if I take profits again they will be at no less than 35p.##
So as I believe someone said this morning we are another day closer to news and I am ready for another adrenaline rush when it does.
Tiny volume today just 388k, by the end the bid had risen to 22.20 and the ask back to 22.75 so we are at the mid point of this range. I feel sure we are involved in many talks with different parties, and certainly just waiting for the green lights to open cancer trials, and feel the price consolidation reflects just that.
Just a bit more patience needed as we showed the last year, lets not forget we were rewarded for that as we rose from 4.60-27.9 in just 12 months and a similar rise soon would leave us all in dreamland.
GL to all holding or adding,it felt strange adding 10k for £2,275 when under a year ago we could have got 40k shares, retrospect always rears its head, wonder how we will feel when we hit 50p and get just 2k shares for a £1000?? With so many items due for news 50p to me is a very realistic target in the next couple of months. Have a good one all, can"t believe how fast this week has gone again. ATB and goodnight.
I posted similar to this a month ago, but now feel it is much more relevant on the 15th April...
Patience is needed, the application to enter a Phase1 Trial for Covidity will be being put together right now.
My take on everything said by our CEO Cliff Holloway plus what was reported in the media blitz seven or eight weeks ago, suggests that the Covidity trial will start very early H2 so in mid July / August. The application for the trial will be completed and submitted sometime Late April / Early May, hopefully in the next two weeks would be nice.
Without any news from Covidity for at least a month it may well be that we hear details of one of the Cancer trials by RNS first.
Scancell are on the cusp of launching three trials and each one has to be carefully designed, the clinics need to be arranged and the oversight by Scancell staff be thoroughly prepared.
So patience is needed for at least another 2 to 4 weeks.
It will soon pass, so don't stress.
Chester.
SCIB1 combo- activation of study centers H1
modi1 - first -in -human study planned to start H1
Covidity... in trial in SKY'weeks' or 'as soon as possble' but certainly originally H1 ... plasmids you'd think would be manufactured now... as I think that Cobra service is 6 weeks.
And all sorts of other possible positive newsflow around the full pipeline....
Cleaner I get it - a 'few weeks' mentioned in the last media wave is now long gone - ergo news is overdue on the face of it.
Miavoce - nice one. But you omitted . . . c) a day closer to the bad news !
My seven year itch has now progressed to a 10 year itch !!
BUT, I console myself on the grounds that Scancell are pushing past the boundaries of current science and also, that with Redmile involved and a wide range of possibilities re. news and commercials, we'll get there.
Later or sooner . . .
Where did the 'end H1' target come from btw ? I can't remember that being mentioned in any of the press ?
Seems to me it's simply a waiting game. Invest and wait, and wait and wait.
I hope that the news (when and if it comes) will be good.
Maybe there will be some aspects that are not so good.
Hope we don't get all the news in one go.
I would really like every aspect of the news to be well advanced and ready for deals but that might be a little fanciful.
As LL says end H1 gives us about ten weeks before we should get too worried.
So as ever with Scancell.... let us wait and see.
AIMO
Any day without news is a good day and should be welcomed because:-
a) no bad news
b) a day closer to the news
Deep Slow Breathes needed :) I agree with Loch H1 is till end of June but we are in the hotzone so... as long as the newsflow comes in that time period I'm fine... Still think something is brewing over Covidity - funding wise but gain no point getting worked up on no RNS's ... just try to think what they may say when they come... usually that Diggles sold a few lol
Very true LL, FROM CC"S post yesterday we are doing a presentation on the 27/29th May, I rather feel that could be used as a guideline that news will come to coincide with that. Understand how cleanerworld and others may feel though, the wait has seemed much longer than the "weeks" suggested by the media in our second media blitz.
I know yall hate me repeating myself, but H1 is END June.
Be happy in the meantime and gather what you can. SCANCELL are NOT doing this deliberately to annoy anyone. Bug deals take time and frankly I'm glad that NDAs appear to be working.
I'm more interested in hearing whether you think the SP will expand 30%, 50%, or a 100% plus depending on what news is released.
A watched pot never boils. Have a great day!
Morning Cleanerworld, hard to argue that but to me I just get a feeling we are in negotiations for some sort of partnering deals on more than one front. We saw this with Redmiles initial purchase until their second tranche too, and we know these things take time.
I do feel confident though that preperations for trials are near completion, and as I have said before when we get the first RNS a few should follow in fairly quick succession. Know what you mean though, but our patience was rewarded last year with the rise from 4.65-27.9, patience was rewarded.
