added ist position here - on a whim let's see what happens.
could SBRE get to 110p this Christmas
yes , more than 20% in four weeks , nice
Barclays raises Sabre Insurance price target to 154 (147) pence - 'overweight'
SBRE is catching up ,nice
Not a terrible update but not promising either (although it's worth noting material structural changes), no real growth/recovery, only in nominal terms barely in touch with inflation.
Was interesting to read about their interpretation of impact by risk-free rates, solvency pillars for insurers are crucial of course but for most investors who's already holding risk-"free" debt instruments - these times aren't that great from returns perspective (on a paper of course you just wait till maturity, and they're long-term holders by nature anyways).
You spoke too soon
I am glad to be seeing us near the 120p mark! I must admit I was getting a bit worried at the 102p mark
Very quiet today!
Chair and CEO loading up today, great news and some have been wrong footed bailing out at the bottom, should see us move up further from here imv
About time we see some rises!
Excellent, very happy with the dividend payout. Oversold, so I bought loads. GLA
Strong balance sheet and expected rise in profits for remainder of 2022 and strong capital base:-)
Nice dividend payout for holders
Fantastic news of 2.8p per share payout. Good report given difficult trading conditions. We should see a good rise up to the dividend payout deadline
Here it goes, details of significant raise in costs are out, claims are up by more than 25%, this is something is very likely to continue over a longer term for already underwritten policies (not just delayed due to covid).
You can also clearly see deflating assets (valuation of investments -10m) and falling equity (-26m) despite increase in sales (which normally would lead to increase in assets)
It will be on a lot of people's radar trust me!
Has anyone got an idea of how much it will be?
It is normally what happens! I think people maybe holding off a little waiting to see the exact amount for the dividend.
Do we think we will get a significant rise. With buyers trying to get in before the dividend cut off point
That is a Big buy £278k!
Someone has just bought 278k
And UT buy at cover 50k
@AJ: They are the same, the only difference is that the update was unaudited, the figures released next Tuesday are audited. Be mindful, that just because a company has a dividend date, it does not mean that they have to pay one! That said, they have stated a payment will be made, DLG are also in a similar situation. Companies can change their mind about payment as facts and circumstances change.
well spotted AJones, just seen it on their website ex date for divi is 18 August 22
Thank you Teddy, cheap shares and a dividend, Xmas come early for me. We are lucky to be getting these prices to be honest Teddy, dipping below 100, will be practically free money lol.
