All i know is, through facebook, deliveroo are finally delivering to Dorking in Surrey.I've been using justeat every couple of weeks (1-2 times a week) successfully already though.Quite quick and prompt delivery too.Not bad and i will probably stick with justeat, unless deliveroo offer some different restaurants (but alot of local ones in town are already on justeat).
TLDR Deliveroo need to get spending and get in there first outside of metropolitan centres and in the local towns and villages or others might just stick with the competition too.
Rizvi
1. Just eat may bit more but drivers dont get as many orders per 'hour' and they dont know where they going Aslo they have to travel much farther than deliveroo I know from first hand account.
2. Many drivers do it as full time job My nephew earns around 600 for 5 days work He earned 840 pounds in a week last week I saw on his app
3. Its not true because you are not able to update your account to motorcycle if you dont show your food insurance and CBT for motorcycle
4 Uber already use facial recognition and there is no problem with it Also there is surplus of drivers so any rentals account that will be delated will provide other drivers with more orders
5 Order stealing is a small percentage overall
This company is being slatted by all, yes they made a big mistake in terms of the cost of share price in the IPO and yes they need to treat their workers better. Watch this space, they will increase the wage of riders and show more respect, I think this has been a real learning process for them. On the other hand, they have managed to extend contracts with Sainsbury’s and Waitrose (where the Royal family shops) and it is a matter of ‘short time’ before we see northern large stores and company’s take them on. This share price will fly!!
Actually the reason why a rider works with JustEat is because they get paid more per order. Working for Deliveroo is just an additional source of income. Deliveroo have kept their commission to restaurants at 35 % whilst educing order fees to riders. Many couriers I know who ride with Deliveroo do so because it is easier to commit insurance fraud with them, many people are not properly insured as Deliveroo rapidly on-boarding & not checking documents properly. Right now there is a crack down happening with rental accounts & in a few weeks quite a few riders will have their supplier agreements terminated when Roo implement facial recognition technologies & other measures which are too lengthy to discuss. There is going to be a huge surge in orders for Summer, but huge imbalance in supply. Many rental accounts will be gone, so original owner who is not Roo rider will have no-one not eligible to work in UK to sell his account too to make money. You can say they are reluctantly cleaning up & its mainly due to rental accounts stealing orders. They collect the order then cancel & its a huge problem as entire groups are doing it. Roo have no proof the order was collected as the rider is free to cancel anytime before he picks up & these rentals are going to people from EU who then go back. So Roo having to continually reimburse restaurants to make food again.
Iam gonna say it again that deliveroo will monopolise this sort of bushiness worldwide, especially with Amazon help.
I know deliveroo inside out. I know drivers I know customers sentiment You could compare ubereat/ just eat to Myspace and Facebook in early days. We know what happened. Deliveroo is taking over. All group of people ordering now now Old, young, rich and poor etc Even your grandma knows deliveroo Its becoming popular among upper class too.lf you go Hamsted or St johns wood Richmond etc, Uber eats or just eat is no existing!!! . Stop and ask any driver from just eat etc why he is working for them He will tell you .only because he is waiting for Deliveroo account . Its becoming a lifestyle now to order thru deliveroo . Dont be fooled by reopening of economy Deliveroo is actually more busy now because more places re opened and people feel like spending more after 1 year of prison lockdown. Mark my words deliveroo is taking over and soon will expand to all supermarkets not just waitross etc Also people prefer simple and easiest deliveroo app compare to others
